I had a great stay at Barren River Magic. 2d was super nice and very accommodating. I only stayed one night but I would have liked to stay longer. It was an easy walk to beautiful private river access. Highly reccommended!

This is a truly magical camping location. It’s a very safe and secure area with multiple options of different glamp sites as well as traditional camping. The experience surpassed any ideas of expectations I could’ve even imagined. I highly recommend Barren River Magic.

This place was truly magical right out of a fairytale with beautiful rolling hills, cute wildlife, beautiful artistic buildings, the sounds of birds and a gentle rolling river. It was April so I thought it would be too cold to play in the river but it was not. The river was refreshing and the water was crystal clear. There were beautiful butterflies down by the river.
The host 2D was amazing as well. He's such a sweet person. It wasn't busy and there were some storms coming in so he upgraded us to one of the lean to cabins. He was the type of man who would probably be everyone's "pappy". I loved seeing and hearing about some of the projects they were working on to grow Barren River Magic. It really is a place to get away from everything. All we heard was birds and the host driving his tractor around occasionally.
I went here with my kids and our little dog because I'm going to one of the summer festivals there so I wanted to get to know the area while it was nice and slow so it won't be so overwhelming on the big event. My children are homeschoolers so this was a great little science and artistic field trip for a couple days for them.
I highly recommend this place to go and "get away from it all" for a few days. The off grid setup is so interesting. There is art everywhere and the use of recycled materials that I would have never thought of.
Some things I recommend is bring toilet paper, bring a way to wash up, and leave the kids tablets at home. It's so nice here!

Totum was a relaxing property maybe 150 feet away from a creek that was super relaxing to listen to all night. The campsite as a whole is super eccentric while still remaining cozy. 10/10

Beautiful piece of land in a beautiful county, decorated with vintage Americana, isolated from highways. On the way home, stumbled upon Ace Coffee Shop in Cave City, maybe the coolest cafe I've ever been to.

The entire property is thoughtfully composed with a generous host and beautiful surroundings with creek and river explorations, hiking trails, and bonfire ability. You have the option to be quite private or communal in your experience. Love this space and 2d as a host so much.

Loved the property. We had the whole place to ourselves and had a blast exploring the river, the trails, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We tent camped, and the tent camping site made you feel miles away from civilization. Only thing we heard from our camp were coyotes and birds. We checked out the glamping options while exploring the property and might’ve picked out a couple we want to try out on our next visit.
The host was incredibly kind, they provided firewood and led us to a great camping spot, and were very welcoming. We’ll definitely be back.

This site lives up to the name magic, 100%. Gorgeous, peaceful, well spaced out, just a lovely spot to be, the land feels GOOD. Highly recommend any of the glampsites, although primitive campers have great location options. The glamps are creative, well appointed, and each has a whimsy unique to itself. And don’t miss getting in the River, it’s cold but worth it!

We absolutely LOVED our visit to Barren River Magic. We stayed 2 nights at the Totum site. Everything about the this place is heavenly. Will most definitely be back and recommend to friends/family. 2D was so friendly, kind and welcoming. You can tell he puts his heart and soul into making the place special in so many ways. We look forward to coming back ASAP!

We had an amazing time staying here!! All the views were amazing from the cabin and everything was so peaceful. We didn’t hear anyone else, just the rain and wind blowing and an occasional bark. I loved the idea of their outdoor shower stalls. The hosts were so nice and helpful! We will definitely be coming back in the future

I love the land here. 2D is an amazing host and is always finding ways to improve the land and atmosphere. This is my fourth time camping here, and I plan to do more of it in the future. Great place to stay !!!!

We camped in the river bottoms at the bottom of the hill. There were 21 of us and it felt very roomy and comfortable (plus it was ten degrees cooler down there than up the hill). The river is lazy but refreshing, and the place is absolutely beautiful. I recommend it!

Really enjoyed my stay. Walking down to the river and seeing all the cool campsites, art pieces, and fire pits was great. Peace pipe felt like sleeping in a tall tower. Be sure to pack light. The climb isn't bad, but several trips was wearing. I hope to return.

2D is an extremely kind host who always welcomes us with a smile. There was an issue with the Carriage House so they swapped the lodging with a newer addition and it wad a perfect view of the cloudless night sky. I highly recommend Barren River Magic for your next camping adventure!

The open air cabins are unique and exciting. They have an entire gated area with plenty of privacy to enjoy with family and friends. The host was great and even had a couple golden doodles he let out that were super friendly.

It was an amazing spot, Creek behind my spot was perfect for ambient noise, the barren River was a short walk away, there was a little construction going on but other than that i had an amazing time, and I'll be back next year
