Paradise on the Bay!

Book it! We felt so lucky that we found this spot super last minute. The hosts were so kind to allow us to book the same day we were arriving. We stayed a week in this paradise. Sunrises and sunsets were world class. The campsite itself was level and clean with full hookups. Getting our 36’ fifth wheel back there was no problem at all. We can’t wait to stay here the next time we’re in town visiting family.

This was such an incredible spot! It was private with gorgeous views and very conveniently located. We had such a great time relaxing and would definitely come back! The hosts were very responsive and accommodating as well

It’s a beautiful spot! Close to amenities but feels like you’re out in the woods. You can see that there is a neighbor but you don’t hear or see them. I would definitely go back and bring the grandkids

Love camping on the bay. Everything is always well-kept and just as pictured. We really enjoy kayaking, bird watching, fishing,… we used a cast net to catch our own bait and caught fish off the dock. We saw crabs, stingrays, and even a gator swimming by this year. The sunrises and sunsets are great. This is one of our favorite places to camp. Thanks for sharing your great place!

This is our fourth year visiting The Bay Getaway. Our grandchildren love coming each year to kayak, catch little crabs in the shallows, climb up onto the treehouse, and run and play on the huge lawn. We love the birdwatching, the beautiful sunsets, the quiet, and the privacy of this spot to give us a safe environment for visiting with our grandkids. Love this place!

Ultimate Camp & Nature Haven

I loved staying at 30A Hideaway Retreat & already miss being there. It is secluded & private, right on the bayou to enjoy gorgeous sunsets, use the kayaks/paddle boards to get out on the water or go fishing off the dock. I saw a dolphin swimming right off of the dock along with pelicans, egrets & grey herons flying, feeding & hanging around. It is also close enough to eat out at fun restaurants, go shopping & relax on the white sandy beaches & swim in the turquoise ocean. I took a great bike ride on the Timpoochee Trail, an 18-mile beautiful, paved trail that runs along South Walton’s Scenic 30A, through colorful, picturesque beachside towns & along several rare & captivating dune lakes.
This idyllic property is the perfect camping vacation retreat ~ I highly recommend it!

I felt like a 62 year old Huck Finn exploring on the kayak, catching crabs, and watching the dolphins pass by. My husband catch great Red Fish. All released. I think the one he caught last night was at least 30”. We loved this spot. The outdoor shower was a treat looking out to the bay. Our dog loved being able to be off leash and playing in the bay.

Beautiful spot as described. Completely private on the water. We sadly had bad weather and weren't able to enjoy all the offerings but I would recommend this spot without hesitation. The owners were easy to communicate with and were very nice.

Had a great time at this site, it is as advertised and felt very private. My dog had a blast running around and we enjoyed sitting on the dock all day. The site is also a close drive to the 30A beaches, but I liked staying on the bayside, it was quieter and we enjoyed lots of wildlife sightings. Hope to be back when the weather is a bit less windy so we can enjoy the kayaks! Thanks for a great trip!

RV camping with space and a view!

My family and I enjoyed Camping here. We brought all of our large dogs. They loved the space as much as we did. This location felt remote even though we were only a few minutes away from dining and shopping. The owners were very accommodating and responsive. We would definitely recomend this place to anyone looking for a great time.

36 ft Class A
This was an outstanding getaway! We brought our 36 foot motorhome towing a Jeep Wrangler for five nights. We unhooked in the cove outside of the property. It was easy to bring in the RV and get it setup with an excellent view of the water. There were kayaks and other water craft for use but we just enjoyed staying on dry land.. Various traps as well... which we didn't use. We saw tons of marine life... huge blue crabs, big fish that might have been trout or redfish. The water is very shallow. We saw nobody... the property to the east had a large house with no occupants. The weather was great and it was quiet and peaceful. Obviously there are tons of activities and restaurants nearby...the best RV destination that we have ever been!

We enjoyed our stay. It was very peaceful and quiet! Having the kayaks available to paddle around was a great plus! We spent our evenings watching the water and wildlife. We would love to revisit in the future!

Our new little piece of camping heaven! Would definitely return! The property was perfect & peaceful. Hosts were perfectly attentive, even when I excitedly messaged them just to tell them I saw some gators! We saw every kind of wild life, including dolphins, sea birds & a sweet stray kitty cat! The outdoor sink & shower were HUGE bonus items. We used the shower primarily bc who doesn’t want to shower outside?! Our camper had full hookup as well, so that was just the cherry on top! Thank you for letting us enjoy a week in your back yard! We hope to stay again! ❤️☀️

The place was very quite and peaceful. The views of the bay were excellent and plenty of wildlife to see. The grounds are well maintained and everything was just as it was advertised. The owners were very helpful and responded quickly when we needed them. It's a very lovely place and I wish it was mine. Lol. I hope that we can return when the sun is shining.

Absolutely loved this place! It feels like you are in the middle of nowhere. So quiet and peaceful. The RV pad is level and the hookups are perfectly setup and in working order. Picnic table, fire pit, outdoor shower and sink (with hot water) so convenient to have already there just steps from your RV.
Beautiful large grass lot closed in on all sides, we have two small well behaved dogs that absolutely loved swimming and watching the pelicans.
Kayaks were there for our use, and the water is perfect. Lots of other water toys to choose from in the little white building.
The host stayed in touch with us helping with details until we arrived.
It is located minutes from restaurants, the beach and Walmart.
This is a paradise that we definitely want to visit again.

The perfect spot!

This was our second time staying here. It is such a great spot It’s very secluded, but also close to everything. We loved floating in the shallow waters and trying to catch fish with a casting net. The outside shower is a major plus! We love everything about this place and can’t wait to come back soon.

30a Hideaway is our most favorite destination in Florida. We have been coming to 30A for 12 years and his place is by far the best . You will have to rent a camper or bring ur own but this place has it all. Fishing, crabbing, water activities. This place has it all.

Still my favorite
36 ft Class A
Second time here, and it's still just as wonderful as before. Sunsets so beautiful that everyone will accuse you of photo-shopping them. It's still the best place we've parked our motorhome this side of the Mississippi.
For the next month or so you need to aware that there will be noise as people are building a few houses and cutting trees just outside the gate. Not enough to change anything for us, but you will hear saws and nail guns throughout the day.
