Lake Kegonsa State Park

When R&R calls, Lake Kegonsa State Park answers. A summer oasis, Lake Kegonsa invites swimmers and boaters to cool off in its glacier-hewed water, fishers to grab dinners from its shores (to chow at its picnic areas!) and hikers to stroll along its five miles of trails. If you can’t imagine a vacay without your four-legged bestie, you’re in luck—while dogs aren’t allowed on the beach, there’s a pet swim area, and dogs are welcome on most trails. Wisconsin Winter Warrior? The park offers about five miles of cross-country ski trails, a (sometimes icy!) sledding hill and excellent ice fishing.
