When to Go
The big attraction at the park is the lake but summer visitors who want to enjoy it should aim to arrive early (especially on weekends and holidays) as the beach area closes as soon as it reaches capacity (often by mid-morning in peak times). Parking reservations for both the hiking and beach area can be made up to 30 days in advance. The park is open-year round but note that facilities may be closed out of season.
Know Before You Go
