“Don’t go chasin’ waterfalls,” TLC may have sang in the 90’s. But we say, absolutely go chase those waterfalls! And at Minneopa State Park, there’s a lot of beautiful waters to discover. Hike up the limestone stairway that leads to the falls of Minneopa Creek, where you can oogle and take photos to your heart’s content. There’s a few scenic and panoramic views of the Minnesota River Valley on the way down, too, so you might want to keep the camera on. While you’re out-and-about, don’t miss trekkin’ to the old German-style Seppmann Mill, built in the 1800’s, for a little taste of this great state’s history. You’ll see why Minneopa is known to the locals as an oasis, with it being just a short trip south from Minneapolis. So whether you are chasin’ those waterfalls or hikin’ on through rolling hills of the prairie and savanna, get out here
