Great quiet relaxing location, with wildlife and the sound of the country. You will have the only camp site on the property. You can stay in the small camping cabin in comfort with your own bedding, or bring a sleeping bag. We have the twin bed in the loft, or use the futon on the main level. The cabin only has room for two adults unless you bring a camp pad to sleep on the floor, or squeeze in a child, but you have the comforts of an A/C , a Weber grill, mini fridge, microwave, and Electricity. Quiet former country farm site, with great wildlife viewing options with walking trails. Only 23 miles to DT St. Cloud and 7 Miles to the Walmart in Princeton for food or supplies. If a shower is desired the Kwik Trip in St Cloud, on Hwy 10 has showers. Just a half mile off Hwy 95 and 5 miles from the large Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, with trails and lots of wildlife. In the Fall expect to see a large amount of wildlife with many migrating birds come out of the refuge to feed. Expect to hear Pheasant's cackle in the AM, and see Sandhill Cranes and Geese fly over the camp site, or sitting in area fields. Enjoy time around a campfire with folding chairs and a picknick table, with plenty of free dry firewood in a storage rack.

We are offering the opportunity to stay on the back hill of our ten-acre rural property. You can go for walks around the pasture on our mowed trail or just sit and enjoy the beautiful Minnesota views. The site is on a gravel road and you cannot see our house from where the bus is parked. While you can see the neighbor's house, it is still very dark at night and excellent for stargazing. The bus will be disabled for guests; it will not start or move. While there are electric fans, AC, and a TV with DVD player, there is no electricity available (bring your own generator if you want). There is a cassette toilet with instructions.

Over the years we have developed our sustainable farm, raising grass-fed cattle, chickens, and various other animals over the years. We also breed Bernese Mountain Dogs, so you'll see some of our pack wandering the property. We work hard to maintain practices that heal the land and preserve it for the future. No chemicals, hormones, antibiotics, pesticides or herbicides are used here. We raised our four children here and have made many memories together as we learned to farm, build and enjoy our land. We continue to create and build towards a long-term vision, creating a haven for artisans with self-sufficient living in mind. Welcome to our inviting custom built cottage. It is located on our property, approximately 300' from on our home on our 55 acre land plot, located 10 minutes outside of St. Joseph, MN. We are very near St. John's University and the College of St. Benedict. Hiking trails located on our property as well as nearby County parks and St. John's University. We are 6 miles from the Wobegon Trail (76 miles long) which is great for biking, roller blading, walking and running. Come explore Creekwood Acres which is host to a great deal of wild life as well as sustainably raised animals with a process we call rejuvenative farming. Wander through the woods and listen to the birds, watch monarch butterflies, our cattle and hear the, frogs, crickets and occasionally distant coyotes. The Watab Creek runs through the property which consists of fields, forest and a pond. Our cozy cottage was built by our family using lumber sawn on our property. There are two double beds up in the loft accessible by ladder and one queen size sofa sleeper (very comfortable!) on the main level . A wood burning stove keeps the cottage cozy in cooler weather. There is a bathroom with flushing toilet and shower. Electricity keeps the cottage aglow and runs a refrigerator, microwave, sound system and fans. Also available for your convenience, an apartment size range and kitchen sink. Enjoy a fire in a private fire ring near the cottage. Firewood available for purchase (for exterior fire ring). Enjoy a wood-fired sauna upon request. The sauna has been known to get quite hot! Theres so much more to come and your current support to help with our reinvestment in Creekwood Acres is so greatly appreciated!!! Side Note: We truly strive to accommodate everybody's needs and wishes. The more we host, the more we understand that some people just want to be left to enjoy a quiet weekend while others love to engage and develop a connection. We enjoy engaging in conversation and developing connections and yet completely respect the desire for others privacy to the utmost degree. Two small ponds on the property, one of which usually has turtles and the other brings in ducks, geese, deer and other wildlife. Eagles and cranes are often seen flying overhead. We do have a few hobby farm animals on the property that would love a visit from you if you request it for your stay. We are now offering our out house to our guests if needed, shown in the picture gallery. The outhouse is located closer to the resident's property, and you will have to go into our gated duck area to get to it. Milaca is about 10 miles away with great parks, biking trails, splash pad, Rum River and Frisbee golf. Foley is about 7 miles away and has a great family pool for summertime and nice parks. This was a great getaway! I wanted to camp and only had a day so the thought of all the setup and tear down for my tent was a lot. For the same price as a campsite I got this little cabin in a fully private area where my dog could be off leash with no worries. The cabin was cute, both sleeping areas were comfy, and the free wood was a nice touch. Only downside was a bit of road noise and no water on site. I will be back. If you like agates take a walk down the street. The pic I took is just from two walks to the right of the property. They’re everywhere!

We stayed at the walk in site 1 and it was great! Mostly private (we could see and hear the other campers from across the river) and very beautiful. My kids loved playing in the river, even though it was reduced to puddles because of the drought, and they caught a bunch of critters! The host was very hospitable and kind. Recommend if you don't mind the possibility of hearing and seeing other campers!

Also, I'm a cinnamon roll fan, but now after having the caramel rolls delivered to my tent in the morning with fresh, hot, French press coffee, I now love THESE caramel rolls. Highly recommend the upgrades to get the pizza and the rolls. It's the first time I've camped next to a cow pasture, but it was very enjoyable (they keep the pasture clean so wafting manure is minimal to non-existent). We were able to camp on a windy 70 to 80° day that was dry with the exception of some humidity in the morning so it was very pleasant. The site has porta potties some distance away from the tent camping, so if you have any toileting issues, this might be worth knowing. They do provide an outdoor sink with running water to wash hands. It's near the potties, which are also near the petting area for the pigs and goats so very handy in that regard. The outdoor shower is interesting, but we only stayed one night, so didn't need to use it. The dining area closest to the glamping tents includes several seating spaces, which are rustic and elegant in their own way. The farm also has a really clever basketball hoop set up inside of a grain chute plus other yard games. I look forward to going again on a pizza night just to get the food, but would not hesitate to camp there again! It was spendy for me because I also paid for goat YOGA, so I'd probably leave that off next time (more goat hijinx than yoga) but really appreciated the opportunity!

We had another great stay! The hosts were great as always. We added breakfast to our stay Making it a delicious way to wake each morning. We attended the pizza night at it was great pizza and great fun.

The glamping tents were exactly what we needed to feel comfortable. Friends stayed in the other tent and the shared space was perfect. The farm is beautiful and all the animals are curious and welcoming to anyone who wants to interact with them. And of course, the pizza(!) was absolutely amazing. Seeing and hearing the sandhill cranes was an unexpected treat for all of us.
