We are a agroforestry farm with animals orchards nursery crops and more. We have a beautiful stone carin on the property that is larger then most pickup trucks and most likely built by native Americans. We can hike out of our back yard down our neighbors driveway up the road a little bit and into a large preserve that has trails going in Connecticut and can be taken all the way up to New Hampshire. We have a few beautiful kayak and canoe friendly rivers by us that are mostly calm water with a few sets of small rapids. Ocean with 4x4 trails, shell fishing, sport fishing boats all within a reasonable distance. New port, Jamestown, block island all worth visiting.

Milk Thistle Farm

3 sites · Tents5 acres · Greene, RI
With the original home built in 1785, Milk Thistle farm is on the historic register and is comprised of the main house and 5 acres of land. It is run as a small homestead sanctuary and is home to rescued chickens, goats, and pigs, as well as two humans and their dog and cat companions. The main property is fenced in, with a large back field great for tent camping, and an orchard to explore that can also double as hammock camping. The best camping near Hopeville Pond State Park guide

Overview

About

A trip to Hopeville Pond State Park is like walking through one big painting. You could look in any direction, prop up an easel and create a masterpiece, assuming you have mad painting skills. Bob Ross would tear this place up.

The wooded shoreline enshrouds the pond like a secret garden, and the ambience gets even more goosebumps-inducing when an early morning mist lingers over the waters. Benches are scattered around the pond for you to sit and contemplate life while staring out at the serene landscape. You can fish here too, if that’s how you prefer to find your inner zen. Meditation comes second nature here, so plan a visit any time you’re feeling on edge.
