Coastal Family Hideaway

Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer. If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed. And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing! There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy. A wonderful place where memories are made.

Our property is located near Rainbow Falls State Park on the Chehalis River. Enjoy the beautiful forest setting, overlooking the river. This riverfront property has calm summer waters perfect for paddle boarding, kayaking and swimming with deep swimming holes. There are also small pools for little ones to enjoy. A creek runs through the property as well. The Rainbow Falls State Park hiking trails are located across the highway in walking distance of the property. You can also park at the falls near the property and cross the highway there and the trails are directly across. The Willapa Hills Trail is a short drive away or for experienced bicyclist, you may choose to ride right down the highway 1.3 miles to Chandler Road where the trail can be accessed. The property remains beautiful throughout the year as the waters change. If you are late fall/winter/early spring campers, swimming is not advised, and children and pets should be watched closely. The property includes running water (please bring your own for drinking) and power at the camp site and a sani-can restroom. Pets are welcome but you must clean up after them to keep the property free from messes. There is a quaint country store located just 2.5 miles away in the small town of Doty that is well stocked with much of what you might need once you've arrived for you stay. The owners of this property are not always onsite but will be responsive to guest needs when contacted. Please respect the neighbors.

Browning Hollow is an adorable campsite on the bank of the East Satsop River. Privacy all around. We are just outside of sleepy little Satsop, WA and just a mile outside of Schafer State Park. The site is big enough for multiple trailers, campers or just some good old fashioned tent camping. room for reunions or family get togethers. multiple parking spots and restroom on site. Come play some corn hole with your friends or just relax by the river with a book and watch the bald eagles fish. This is a great site for fishermen and women as it has an IDEAL fishing hole. (Be sure to check your regs for seasons.) Great fire pit perfect for sitting around and roasting smores. Firewood and starters included!! Lots of room to spread out with almost an acre of camping space.

Weekend Trip to RV+ Rainbow Falls / Willapa Trails

We loved tent camping here! The creek was definitely the highlight for our teens and for the other kids staying there. We were the only tent campers, so we had tons of space to ourselves. After a little uncertainty finding a choosing a site in the dispersed camping area, we found we had a wonderful spot. Dan came to greet us and let us know we found the right spot and gave great directions on all the routes to the bathrooms, creek, and river. It’s wonderful that he has kept the forested areas on his land. David was also very responsive to questions through the app and let us know we were welcome to pick some cherries from their big tree. We also found lots of native trailing blackberry - yum! Our confusion was that I think the “game trail” in the directions was wider than expected (more like an old logging road). We camped under a massive big leaf maple shortly after the turn north. Highly recommend!

This is a beautiful site! Gorgeous view of the beach, plenty of space to spread out. There’s a short walk in; not too bad and the carts made it easy to get our gear to the site. We enjoyed saying hi to other campers as they walked to the beach, but that might not be for everyone. If you want total privacy, you might be more comfortable in one of the other sites at this camp. Thanks for a wonderful stay!!

Adam's hip camp was peaceful, private and the view of the Pacific Ocean was truly amazing!! The compost toilets were so clean and the outdoor hot shower was a def plus! Of the 14 days we were on the road, this was my favorite spot! I sincerely hope to return again in the future.

Privacy - check. Hot showers - check. Clean vault toilets - check. Ocean views and sounds - check. Easy beach access - check. So many amenities that even though we were tent camping, I would almost be inclined to call this ‘glamping’. We arrived to the location (easy directions), took in a deep breath of ocean air, let the dog sniff around before unpacking our stuff and setting up the tent. The ground was level, a few rocks we kicked to the side to set up the tent. If you have a tarp, I’d recommend covering your vehicle with it as we had some sap on it when we left (no big deal but heads up). It took us less than a minute to walk to the shower, dish washing station and (two!) bathrooms side by side. Amazed to learn that the dish washing station had ample counter space, a large basin and hot water as well. The shower door needed a little elbow grease to close (think the fence post shifted) but was definitely manageable. Both shower and dish station came with soap for washing. We still used our own body wash because we weren’t sure how the peppermint soap would be on our private parts. My daughter commented on the slight sulfur smell in the shower which was mild, in my opinion. All in all, best bang for your buck. We couldn’t find anything that needed improvement.

I love camping at Shelby's- we have been several times and always enjoy ourselves. You are right at the beach with sunset views. There were three campers also, but you never would know it. People keep to themselves IF you want that. Westport is a close stop for lunch or dinner, then we hit Brady's before returning home. We will be back!

Great peacefulspot, lots to do within in the area. Host is very responsive! Fresh eggs up the road.. beautiful views, and lots of wildlife! Would recommend. My only recommendation for other campers. Is bring earplugs if train noise bothers you otherwise you’re good!

One of the most beautiful sites! Very private location and we could see how the river access would be wonderful for fishing and swimming. Unfortunately our dates were too cool to get in, but we still enjoyed watching the fish and birds along the river and will definitely return in the future. Also, it was close to some great day hikes in Olympic National Forest.

Beautiful sweeping view. Very quiet and peaceful. Beach is amazing! For site 5, bring something if you want shade or maybe check out the amazing communal areas. Also know that you'll want a freestanding tent for this one. Stakes were a little tricky due to the rocky soil. Adam and Sara are great hosts and it's obvious they care about protecting this little slice of heaven as much as we enjoy sharing in it. :)

PLEASE NO FIREWORKS ON SITE OR SURROUNDING AREA. We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place. All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away. We also offer wood for SALE and all of our sites have wood burning areas. We also have ice and delivery services. IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS PLEASE ASK We are about 45 minutes from ocean beaches, only a few minutes from the best riding, hiking and boating in the world. We have a cute bar and restaurant within a mile. Also gas and groceries are close as well. Boat launch is about 1/2 a block easy access. There is talk about sites at the river, we have some in their premature stage. This is NOT offered through our Hip Camp site!!!!! However, we do upon arrival let people stay right on the water on a case-by-case deal and NOT on busy holiday weekends. There are reasons for this: When we initially opened, we allowed people to camp there through Hip Camp and I was getting low stars ratings because Entitled people thought for $28 bucks, they got the whole river to themselves and would fight with other campers, than they would cry because the bathroom was too far. IT JUST GOT TO EXHAUSTING. So now I do it judging by the vibe the camper gives me when they arrive and how full we our. Next year I’m going to try to set up some premium sites on the river and work super hard at getting amenities that will match that price. But for now, Enjoy Camp Hope and the river ACCESS too!! We appreciate the wonderful feedback everyone gives it helps us grow with you!!

Welcome to Aliya Preserve. Originally owned by the developers of Kalaloch Lodge, this was slated to be an expansion site for the resort. That development would have drastically changed the land. Adam & Sara purchased the property in 2018 to preserve it. We enjoy sharing it with nature aficionados who respect the sacredness of the unblemished land and help us keep it pristine. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty. Without prior approval we allow only eight people per group— even when split between campsites. Please make sure to check the site *title* for number of campers allowed in each site. For example only two people are allowed in sites 1 and 4. Up to two dogs are allowed per site for a $25 perpup fee, which must be paid in the "extras" section at checkout {dogs enjoy the beach the most!!}

RV+ Rainbow Falls / Willapa Trails

(This is a leave no trace site. You must take all of your garbage with you!) Just 1.5 hours from Seattle, Portland, Mt. Rainier, Mt. St. Helens, & Olympic National Park, just 3 minutes from Rainbow Falls State Park and 4 minutes from Willapa Biking Trail! We are located on top of Bunker Hill nestled between the Dunn creek and Chehalis river. Our property is 56 acres of mixed biomes including multi-generational forests, open meadows, and creek side trails. We are located right off Chandler Road, off of Highway 6. You turn onto Labri road (white sign) and you're on the property after going through a gate. Meander down the road past a red barn and several buildings on your right. Through the second gate, the dispersed camping site offers various sites for camping attached to a main trail that parallels the Dunn creek down to the Chehalis river. They are conveniently accessible off the logging roads which cross with Labri road after you've passed through the second gate. If you take the logging road to the left (look for a blue and white ribbon) you will come up to a tree line where you can park (another blue and white ribbon) and either take the trail to the left or right where you will find ample places to camp. You may camp along the trail or closer to the creek. The most ideal spot is right after you park near the blue and white ribbon if you walk North you'll see a site marked with an orange and white ribbon. This site has easy access to the creek but is still on a hill. There are four RV spots with full onsite hook-up. Two of the RV sites are paved and lit with ground lights and are prioritized for heavier rigs. The other two sites are on grass. We have two RV sites with no hook up (boondocking) but bathroom and shower access. We do not allow dumping of grey water or sewage at our property but there is a dump station just 1 minute away at Rainbow Falls State Park. The site is located on a hill so you get very nice view of sunsets and sunrises. For those who enjoy bird watching the nearby fruit trees bring in many birds. We are an ideal location for those who love the outdoors or just want to have private family events. 6 mi from Jones Creek Brewing, 7 mi from Evey's Cafe & Pe Ell, 20 mi from I-5, 69 mi Westport Quiet hours are from 11pm - 8am.
