Our private Campground is centrally located on the Olympic Peninsula. We are a Campground, we are not a Hip Camp, we just advertise through them. Paying for extra days or rentals, wood, propane fire-pits, are done at pay station at Campground or by calling the office. We have 21 tent sites on the West side of Pavel Road close to the river. 13 are river view sites. We have 15 tent sites and most are bigger tent sites, ones that are big enough for a RV on the East side of Pavel Road, Use our website dawleysrivercamping.com for details. We have beautiful woods with trees, ferns, moss, and the Sol Duc River runs adjacent to our property. Beautiful views of the Sol Duc River from some of the sites and a short walk to the right of the parking lot to the Fish Hatchery, stay to the right there will be a boat launch and beach to fish and play. Just a 20-minute drive to the Pacific Ocean and a 20-minute drive to the straits of Juan de Fuca. Just a one-hour drive from our site to Cape Flattery, short hike down to a rocky viewpoint overlooking the Pacific Ocean and Tatoosh Island, which is the farthest NW Point in the Continental US! We have sites with beautiful river views, 9 walk-in sites, and 12 drive-up sites. 4 of the walk-in sites are river views 4, 5, 6 and 8. The drive-in sites with river views are 10, 11, 12, 13, 17, 18, 20, and 21. There are more sites on the other part of the Campground. The Fish Hatchery is right next door and has a boat launch, beach, and lots of fishing. The river at the Hatchery is great to float on, fish, and just play. Activities nearby include: Pacific Ocean beaches, Pleasant Lake, Crescent Lake, Beaver Lake, Snyder Lookout for stargazing, Olympic Discovery Trail, kayak floating, the area is great for hiking, biking, mushroom and fossil hunting, wildlife viewing, ATV trails, and much, much more, come have some fun.

Welcome to Aliya Preserve. Originally owned by the developers of Kalaloch Lodge, this was slated to be an expansion site for the resort. That development would have drastically changed the land. Adam & Sara purchased the property in 2018 to preserve it. We enjoy sharing it with nature aficionados who respect the sacredness of the unblemished land and help us keep it pristine. From your mossy bank perched above the panoramic Pacific, beneath burley spruce tree boughs, magic sunsets unfold at your own super-private and secluded campsite with fire-pit. Adjacent to Olympic National Park, this is the same beach and bluff that defines Kalaloch, LaPush and and other wild Washington coastal icons. As the stewards of this land, we are now inviting respectful and responsible small groups and families to share its beauty. Without prior approval we allow only eight people per group— even when split between campsites. Please make sure to check the site *title* for number of campers allowed in each site. We bought this land in 2017, there were 7 derelict mobile homes on the property. We cleaned up the area and remodeled the house next door and put in the 5 RV sites. We hope you enjoy this property as much as we do, it is a one-of-a-kind beautiful, quiet place. All of our sites have full hook-ups (water, sewer, and power). The sites are just a couple feet from the bay with access to miles of beach hiking. You can walk to Bottle Beach State Park which is approximately 1 mile north or hike about a mile south to Elk River. Enjoy unobstructed views of Westport and the freight ships coming into the harbor. Enjoy a peaceful beach with amazing sunsets. Whether you are surfing for the weekend or tuna-fishing, this is your go to spot - you will not be disappointed. Westport is 7 miles by car and the Westport Winery is only 5 miles. There is two nearby boat launches - one off of Elk River just 2 miles away and the other off of Johns River launch just 6 miles away. Park facilities include campsites, RV pull-thru and back-in sites, walk-in campsites, and two group camping areas. Plus, two fantastic day-use areas with picnic sites, a picnic shelter, and comfort stations located throughout the park. The natural beauty of the area can be explored on any of our trails. The eastern part of the Olympic Peninsula has loads of great trails around us in the Olympic National Park. Trailheads nearby include Big Creek, Mount Rose, Mount Ellinor, Dry Creek, Copper Creek, Wagonwheel Lake, Staircase Rapids, Big Log Camp, and Flapjack Lakes. Ocean Shores is known as a small charming coastal community with an abundance of recreational and cultural activities. It is also surrounded by miles of sandy beaches on the Pacific Ocean as well as Grays Harbor. Its 23 miles of inter-connected canals and lakes charm you with their breathtaking views. Surrounded by trees and vegetation you will have all the privacy you seek as you are the only campers here. This is a very large space to share with those of your choosing. There are no "lights out" or "quiet times" for you to worry about. Large open space for camping with friends and family to gather and enjoy each others company. Dogs are able to be leash free and enjoy the space as well. Only a ten min private walk to the ocean through the dunes to enjoy beautiful sandy beaches, kite flying, picnics on the beach, day camping, amazing sunsets and so much more. Rubber boots (maybe some waders, depending on the winter) are recommended for the hike to the beach during the winter months (November-May) as you will have a small trek through seasonal wet lands. You may also access the beach/ocean by vehicle just a few minutes away in town. You will be located between the Quinault Casino and the City of Ocean Shores where you can enjoy all the wonderful activities there is to offer. If kayaking, canoeing or paddle boarding is what you are seeking, many are unaware of the 23 miles of scenic canals in the City of Ocean Shores. You may also fish for bass, rainbow trout, yellow perch and bluegill sunfish in these waterways. I hear there are a couple little Islands to explore as well. What a hidden treasure! There are three launch sites available we can give if needed. And if you left something at home, sitting there thinking he was going to grab it (haha) no worries, you more than likely can grab it in town. The Ace hardware is amazing! There is an Arcade, golf, miniature golf, go carts, water go carts, bowling, horseback rentals (seasonal) for the beach, electric bike rentals, scooter rentals and so many more activities for you to enjoy. Come camp on the Olympic Peninsula. Our 10 acre property has Sol Duc River waterfront, a shared meadow with Roosevelt elk, and a forest with mature Sitka Spruce and Hemlock trees. In the designated camping area there are RV electrical hook ups and water, a picnic table, porta potty, solo stove, lounge chairs, and weber propane bbq. The driveway makes a circle making it convenient for trailers. We recommend pulling into the first driveway so you face the river.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site. This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time. Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

Rainbow ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site. This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time. Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

Rainbow ridge itself is largely comprised of the three houses on property as well as the surrounding woodlands. Its area spans fifty acres of elevated terrain surrounded by a forest creek (where crawdads can be found). The camping area is on about five acres of the property and is populated by alders and evergreens, making it a wonderful place to connect with nature. It's a beautiful area sure to soothe the soul. A short but captivating nature trail is open to campers who are interested in a walk up the gentle hill. We do have a worm composting toilet and water available for washing. A new hot shower will be available. A couple of more sites are in the plans. Nearby is the quaint town of Montesano. Lake Sylvia is there for those looking to discover one of our lovely state parks. Closer by, there is a river with boat launch that runs down and through Montesano for people who want to swim, fish, float, or boat. Montesano's central location in Grays Harbor allows it to serve as a wonderful base of operations for those looking to explore more of the coast, and northwestern peninsula. The way up to Rainbow Ridge is a short winding driveway of somewhat steep grade, delivery trucks have no problems, so if you have a small camper or less, you should be fine.

Olympic Adventure Camp is an excellent choice for campers in Forks. The camp site is clean and was very quite, even for being close to the highway. It was close to town, and close to tons of sightseeing and adventures. Check in was super easy, camp host was responsive when we called to check in. The full hook up sites were also very private and we were not right on top of our neighbors. We will definitely be returning guests.

Campfire Tale: The Legend of John Tornow "The Wildman of the Wynooche." More than a century ago, the forests around Travers Mountain were home to one of Washington’s most mysterious figures — John Tornow, the Wildman of the Wynooche. Born in 1880, Tornow grew up as a gifted woodsman and hunter. He was known for his uncanny ability to move silently through the timber, living off the land with the skill of someone more animal than man. But his story turned dark after the tragic deaths of his nephews, the Bauer twins, whose family homestead you can still see from our property. Accused of their killings, Tornow fled deep into the wilderness. For nearly two years, he evaded every search party and posse that hunted him. Locals whispered that he was impossible to track — some even swore he could vanish into the trees like a ghost. He became both feared and respected, remembered as part outlaw, part legend. The tale ends in 1913, when a massive manhunt cornered Tornow in the woods. Even then, he fought fiercely, leaving his mark on Grays Harbor history forever. So when you camp here whether its under the trees-at Tornow’s Timberline, perched high at Outlaw’s Overlook, or gathered by the fire at Wildman’s Saloon Stop — listen closely to the night sounds. The owls, the wind, and the rustling branches might just remind you of the Wildman, still wandering in spirit through these hills.

Our modern septic systems provide added convenience for our guests. Our campground features a variety of accommodations to suit your needs, including eight spacious pull-thru sites measuring 70 feet long and 35 feet wide, as well as 42 back-in sites that are 60 feet long and 45 feet wide.

WELCOME TO THE HOH RAINFOREST Nestled in the heart of the breathtaking Hoh Rainforest, the Hard Rain Cafe & Campground stands out as a unique destination for nature lovers and adventure seekers alike. Since 1984, we have provided visitors with a cozy spot to enjoy delicious coffee and hearty burgers, along with a peaceful campground experience amidst the lush greenery of Olympic National Park. Our campground operates seasonally, welcoming guests from March 15 to November 15. To ensure a smooth stay, we recommend making reservations online, as a first-night non-refundable deposit is required. Our Spring Season hours are typically from 10 AM to 5:30 PM, while Summer Season hours extend from mid-May to 9:30 AM to 6:30 PM. Please note that our hours will be limited in October and November, and we will close for the season starting December 1. For those planning to visit during peak season, from May 15 to September 15, we advise arriving at the Hoh Rainforest entrance before 9 AM to avoid long wait times at the toll booth. With extended daylight in the summer evenings, you can also enjoy entry to Olympic National Park after 6 PM without any delays. Serving the extremely diverse group of visitors to the Olympic National Park's Hoh Rainforest is our family tradition. Our staff are local residents that love to share travel tips and explain the various ways to get back to Seattle (if you really have to leave paradise).
