Our property is 17 acres of mostly unimproved land. There are open meadows, forested areas, and a trail that circles the property. Find the beginning of the wood-chip trail near the campsite and follow it through the trees. The trail comes out near the house. Enjoy the view and take care near the cliff.
The campsite is in a small open meadow surrounded by trees on three sides and with a view to the south toward the Olympic mountains. We have only one campsite. You will be very private with no other campers nearby. Electrical, water, and sewer hookups are provided.
NOTE: There are no bathroom facilities for tent campers.
SEWER HOOKUP NOTE: Sewer hookup is on the driver's side of the vehicle if you pull in forward. If you pull all the way forwards the sewer hookup will be 24' behind the front tire. There is no turnaround and you cannot drive off the front of the pad.
The hookup is raised about 2 feet off the ground to enable gravity feed. It may not work to back in and run the sewer hose on the ground to our connection.

Created over 35 years ago by the Funstons, we (Will and Asha) became the stewards of this beautiful property in June 2016. We live on the property with Clancy, Uncle Larry, Tim and Pete and our friendly dog Pickle.
3 Secluded campsites are nestled among cedars, firs, hemlock and maples. Site 1 & 2 have a 2 Night minimum stay, Site 3 has a 1 Night minimum stay. Tents only, no vehicle camping/trailers or pets please. Community firepit has chairs, with Free firewood (‘a curated selection of site-grown firewood’ may include: cedar, fir, hemlock, cherry, madrone, etc). The nearby Tent Shelter features cold water, a picnic table, countertop for indoor/outdoor food prep and dining, along with trash cans and a camp stove. Sanican is a short walk from the tent sites.
We have lovely Woods with sculptures and artwork created from materials found on the property by our friend Pete. We also have Gardens to wander in to support your sense of peace and connection.
Safe, secure, private, scenic. Please have no more than two people and one vehicle per site. There is no electricity available in the Tent camping area.
This is NOT a party camp space. We are a place for peace and quiet where you can enjoy the woods. We are also not suitable for children (if you have tweens/teens, message us). We have too many "attractive nuisances" for young children to be safe.
You're staying on a 7 acre, mostly forested parcel, 1/4 mile from Hwy 101, mid way between Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. Some traffic hum, but not much, and it varies depending on how the wind is blowing. We're 3/4 miles East of the Deerpark entrance to Olympic Natl Park, 4.5 miles East of the Main Olympic National Park Wilderness Information Center.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site.
This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time.
Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

*We are a small, private campground. As such, our site limits are set to 2 ppl, 1 vehicle, 1 tent. You can select to add up to 2 more ppl on select sites, for an additional charge. Our sites are simply not large enough to be considered group sites. For your comfort, we recommended that you book multiple sites if you have a larger party. As always, we can help you choose the best site for your party, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
* 4WD/AWD drive recommended for Sites 9-11 due to the steady uphill gravel access road. Especially recommended for vans and heavier vehicles.

The nearest towns are Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., and Sequim where you’ll find restaurants, wineries, and more.
The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails.

You're staying on a 7 acre, mostly forested parcel, 1/4 mile from Hwy 101, mid way between Port Angeles and Sequim, WA. Some traffic hum, but not much, and it varies depending on how the wind is blowing. We're 3/4 miles East of the Deerpark entrance to Olympic Natl Park, 4.5 miles East of the Main Olympic National Park Wilderness Information Center.

Located 10 miles west of Port Angeles on the scenic Highway 112. This is a small farm homestead with geese, chickens, and Flynn the farm dog. Backed by a forest of cedar trees and a creek running through it, there is plenty of privacy for campers on the 10 acres. There are several common areas should you want to visit fellow campers. Several areas have fire pits and mobile fire pits can be delivered to your camp site.
This is a “meet and greet” campsite where I place you according to your camping needs (remote/close to facilities, Rv/tent, size of party, etc). I have to be on site at your arrival, so please keep me informed of your expected arrival time.
Note: I love hosting campers with dogs. However, I have had two sheep put down due to attacks by guest dogs. My very friendly dog has been attacked by guest dogs. I no longer have sheep, because I won’t endanger them. You need to verify that your dog is not aggressive.

*We are a small, private campground. As such, our site limits are set to 2 ppl, 1 vehicle, 1 tent. You can select to add up to 2 more ppl on select sites, for an additional charge. Our sites are simply not large enough to be considered group sites. For your comfort, we recommended that you book multiple sites if you have a larger party. As always, we can help you choose the best site for your party, so don’t hesitate to reach out!
* 4WD/AWD drive recommended for Sites 9-11 due to the steady uphill gravel access road. Especially recommended for vans and heavier vehicles.

This spot is perfectly located two blocks from the Straits of Juan de Fuca, where bird watching, fishing, boating, swimming and sunsets are the norm. The nearest towns are Port Angeles, Port Townsend, Victoria B.C., and Sequim where you’ll find restaurants, wineries, and more.
The nearest attractions are Olympic National Park, Hurricane Ridge, Olympic Discovery Trail, Ferry Dock to Victoria B.C., Lake Crescent, and Hoh Rainforest where you can enjoy activities such as: boating, fishing, wildlife viewing, winter activities, hiking, biking, etc. Also, you can ride directly from the campsite to some fabulous mountain biking trails at Dungeness Trails.

Very peaceful and nice location to Crescent Beach and a variety of recreation . Janelle was very helpful and made sure I was settled in ok. Both the options for camping are great and there is space and nature surrounding. Flynn the resident dog visited respectfully and we took a walk at dusk. It was nice to know he was around being so shepherdly sweet and friendly. I’ll be back.

This was such a lovely and well taken care of campground. The little gazebo that has been built there was wonderful and the property was beautiful, with a little walking trails and a nice river right next to the campsite. There is plenty of space for pets to roam around and the campsite feels nice and secluded. We would definitely go back!

I have stayed at this HipCamp in the past and liked it so much I decided to come back. The sites themselves offer the basics: table, chairs, fire pit, tent spot. But the best parts of this campground are the outdoor kitchens, outdoor game area, and all of the wooden gnomes to find. I would come back here for another stay!

Really cool space. I stayed in camp 0. While folks with mobility issues may struggle a bit with being up hill, I didn't find it to be an issue at all and the cheaper price meant I could stay longer. That being said, all the sites looked great. The kitchen was so nice for breakfast and to cook up the mushrooms I foraged nearby. Eventually the shower curtain will need to be changed but that hot shower in a cold night was amazing. Super close to so many things. I'll definitely be coming back.

Van camping in the Nook at Elwha was quiet and peaceful! The hosts were super accommodating of my last minute vehicle change and helped me find a place that would fit a large campervan. The bathroom was warm, which was perfect for showering after a week on the road, but also a bit far from my campsite (an oversight on my part). I’m not sure if this is normal, but both porta-jons near me were locked- didn’t have a chance to ask the hosts about it since I was mostly away during operating hours. Having WiFi was a nice surprise, which helped me stay in the loop about events planned at the fungi festival.

Such a lovely view of the river right outside our trailer windows. As other reviewers have mentioned, I've never seen a cleaner portapotty. Made it very easy to extend your stay by extending your black tank storage capacity. Just as pictured. Quiet, peaceful, relaxing! Saw bald eagles, herons, gulls, and deer. 10 out of 10 would stay here again!
