After a long day of driving, this spot was a much needed oasis. The campsite was soft and grassy with a thick layer of grasses, shrubs, and trees creating a feeling of privacy and seclusion. When we realized that we also had a view of the coast, it was perfect. Julia was so welcoming and coming to a campsite with beers and firewood waiting is pretty special. This spot is a must stay!

Julia and Eric’s place was the perfect spot to spend the last three night’s of our West Coast RV trip.
We were parked in a beautiful, peaceful spot from which we could look out across the Strait of Juan de Fuca and see the twinkling lights of Victoria on Vancouver Island in the distance.
It may be Off the Beaten Path but it’s also real close to the Hurricane Ridge entrance of Olympic National Park. It’s a short drive to the Olympic National Park Visitor Center at the Port Angeles entrance, then on to Hurricane Ridge.
All within 45 minutes of our spot at Julia and Eric’s (in an RV).
The opportunity to come back at night and watch the stars while sitting round a fire is impossible to miss!
Julia and Eric were warm and very helpful hosts. Nothing was too much trouble. The freedom to come and go was also really appreciated as we came back late on the night we took in a high school football game.
Julia and Eric’s place is definitely for you if you’re independent, like peace and quiet and want to stay away from the RV park scene.
The best 3 nights of our trip…by far!

We loved camping at Julia and Eric's! The area was magnificent - quiet and wooded. Julia & Eric left us fresh picked berries and apples, which we loved. And yes- the porta potty everyone mentions in their reviews IS the cleanest we've encountered!

A perfect and beautiful spot to camp, or park a campervan in our case, in Port Angeles! Julia was so kind from our early conversations through check in and the stay. She even provided us fruit picked from their acreage, so good! To top it off, we added massages as part of our experience making it a perfect ending to our camping trip. Highly recommend!

We had a wonderful experience at Julia's campsite! The location offered stunning views, perfect for stargazing, which was one of the highlights of our stay. Julia is an amazing host—very welcoming and always ready to help. The campsite felt safe, quiet, and provided plenty of privacy, making it a great spot to unwind. Highly recommended!

Amazing place to stay to explore Olympic National Park. Julia and Eric were amazing host. Very friendly, made sure we had everything we needed, but still had a super secluded vibe to it. Super peaceful yet still close to town. We highly recommend staying here.

What a hidden gem this place was! We felt so at peace here. Only the sound of the birds, the distant ferry horn, and the crackle of the fire. And oh my stars, the stars! Our souls were happy here. Thank you for sharing your place with us!

Lovely quiet site up the hill from town. Equipped with a clean! porta-potty, Adirondack chairs, dish-washing bench and tubs, water, kiddie pool, hammock, and ripe berries for picking if you’re lucky.

Private and quiet camping spot with hosts who help you have the experience you want. Prior to arriving our hosts had communicated with us regarding our plans and what kind of camping experience we were hoping to have. They made sure to offer their assistance and provided us with lots of little “extras “ to make our stay more comfortable, but at the same time wanted us to have our privacy. They made us feel so welcome and yet we felt we had total privacy.
Upon arriving they had picked us some fresh berries from their garden and also left our dog some special treats. There is a lovely propane fire pit and chairs on site. They had a kiddie pool and a sun shade set up for the dog, (or possibly for us. We did sit with our feet in it to cool off one afternoon) They left little extras for us to use such as marshmallow roasting sticks, potable water jug, dishwashing station and the cleanest port-a-potty EVER! Since we had our camper (20ft with a slide out) we did not need much of the items provided but it is so thoughtful that they provided them.
Our hosts also provided details on their favorite walks close by their property. The property itself offers little paths to hidden little spots to enjoy. The hammock In the trees was a favorite for me in the mornings to read with my coffee.There is a lovely little peek-a boo view of Canada and Port Angeles water front. At night the view of the stars is beautiful as well. The property is convenient to town, the mountains, & the coast!

Lovely spot to park our campervan for the night. Several sweet perks beyond the curated camp ground including: water hook up and wash station, the ~cleanest~ porta potty I’ve ever encountered, dog leads so our two dogs could roam freely, dog treats, and incredible view of the water. Thanks for hosting us.

Julia & Eric were very communicative so it was easy to find and the site was everything that was promised. They even left some strawberries and arugula from their garden for us! Our only regret is that we didn’t get to stay longer to enjoy this location. We will book again if we are out this way.

Julia and Eric's Hipcamp is awesome! Very beautiful setting, very clean and convenient to Port Angeles! Also very quiet and you can see across the Straightof Juan de Fuca! They were so thoughtful- they even put up a shade tent, wading pool, and had a cooler with Popsicles and strawberries wait for us when we arrived on a hot afternoon! I totally recommend their Hipcamp!!

We loved our stay at Julia & Eric's camp site! We got in late so we didn't cross paths with our host, but they were great communicators and the site was wonderfully set up when we arrived with campfire supplies ready to go, clean toilet, and several other miscellaneous items we might need. Beautiful spot outside Port Angeles!

Eric and Julia were the best hosts. Beautiful site. Our dog Appa had a great time playing with River. Fresh arugula and strawberries were left for us in the cooler-the gesture was so thoughtful and delicious! We will be back.

Julia and Eric’s Hipcamp was my favorite camping spot out of all the place’s I stayed on my 10 day trip exploring the Pacific Northwest. We got there fairly late at night but they left us extremely helpful supplies, information, and a DELICIOUS croissant-s’mores making package. I’m a huge s’mores fan so this was really special to me. Firewood, kindling, and potable water were made available. The spot is at the top of a mountain and I truly felt high up. You can see Canada from where you camp which was really cool. Julia and Eric allowed us to forage some wild salmon berries and mint from around the land which was a unique experience! Julia and Eric live at the house nearby and let us know they may or may not run into us, but made sure to let us know that socializing wasn’t necessary if we preferred not to. My introverted side really appreciated that but they were so sweet that I would have loved to chat if we stayed longer. We only stayed one night but I wish we stayed longer. Thank you so much for your hospitality Julia and Eric! We hope to be back soon! ❤️

Thoroughly enjoyed my time staying here tent camping. Julia and Eric were extremely welcoming and responsive, in addition to thinking of just about everything ahead of time a thru-camper could want! Can absolutely recommend and will certainly come back the next time we’re in the Olympic Peninsula.

The spot was nice and private. We had an amazing view and an awesome sunset while we were there. Julia and Eric provided everything we would have needed for our stay. They also left fresh strawberries and gourmet s'more ingredients! They also respected our space when mentioning I have an anxious dog :)

Julia & Eric have created a nice, private, flat space that is quiet, dark, convenient, and well-appointed with water faucet, clean porta, fire pit (with wood!) thoughtfully laid.
They offered suggestions of local favorite spots to try.

What an amazing find!!! Your own private campground with incredible views, all the added comfortable perks if you need them, and it’s so quiet. We will definitely try for this place again next time we’re in the area. Julia and Eric were wonderful communicators to top it off.

Staying at Julia and Eric’s site as first time RV’ers, was a beautiful beginning! The site was beautifully situated in a private little meadow surrounded by trees, and we could even catch a glimpse of Victoria across the water! The port a potty was spotless, there was wood in the fire pit ready to go (with extra wood stored), and a welcome kit including beverages, light, and a few other sundries. On top of all that, Julia and Eric were exceptional hosts - helping us first-timers with hook ups and even a ride to the ferry the next morning! We are so happy to have started our adventure here! Thank you!

Julia and Eric’s property was amazing. Easily the best Hipcamp experience I’ve had yet. They had a perfect fire set up for when we arrived as well as a welcome bottle of wine and a bag of fresh arugula from their garden that was so delicious. You’re not far from a few people’s houses, but you don’t see them from the campsite and feel extremely secluded. The view through the trees to the mountains and water is beautiful. We wished we were there earlier so that we could enjoy the site longer, but it was perfect. We chatted with Julia for a minute on our way out and she was the kindest person you’ll meet. They clearly love their property and do a great job making you feel welcome. Def watch the video she provided for directions as it Google Maps doesn’t take you to the right spot.

Camping here was great! We stayed here prior to taking the ferry from Port Angeles to Victoria. Julia & Eric were super kind and had an entire box with camping essentials & a pre-made campfire setup. The tent site was perfect, easy to find, and had a great view of the sound through the woods. It was close to the ferry (15min) and was exactly what we were looking for!

Beautiful site and very quiet. A short 15 minute drive from Port Angeles and maybe 25-30 into Olympic. Great hosts! They provided firewood each night, water, and a large canopy for us to use.

What an amazing spot. Very clean, flat spot. Pulled our RV in, hooked up to water. That’s all we needed. Eric and Julia provided a small generator but didn’t use it. Outside private Porta John, fresh cleaned. Upon arrival they had a table out with some details, places to eat etc. A fresh bouquet of flowers in a vase. In a container, some juicy fruit, fantastic cherry tomatoes, and most gratifying 2 cold beers, awesome thank you. If and when I go back to visit, I will definitely revisit. Thank you Julia and Eric
