Weekend Trip to Spike Camp

Carl’s property is beautiful! The vehicle spot is nice and secluded from the rest of his property, and it’s super convenient to a public boat launch.

Beautiful spot for sure. Host is really responsive and nice. It’s quite far from other site, but were that one to have a large group sound could be an issue as it’s a big open field. Overhead plane noise at night from SeaTac reminds you you’re not quite out in the wild.

We spent 4 days here, and loved every minute! Fishing was fun in this area, and everyone was really friendly. The host was awesome and personable. There is a lot of fun stuff to do at the camp and its close to everything. Lots of critters to look for and the goats were awesome! Love it there!!

It was so relaxing camping at Don’s Camp Birdwatch. I took a trip with my boyfriend and MIL and we had such a great time. Each campsite is beautiful and the perfect size for family camping. Don was a great host and was very attentive to all needs and questions. The bathrooms were clean and the property was very spacious. The sounds of the birds were so peaceful each morning. We got farm fresh eggs from a neighbor that was a short walk a couple houses down and we will definitely be coming back.

We loved the spot so much! It was very spacious and cute! Lots of firewood available for purchase and it was nice to have a bathroom nearby. The only downfall was it was a bit difficult to find without an address. It would be helpful to post which fire station it is next to. Overall, it was great!

We loved our stay at Hemlock! The campsite is beautifully laid out, and the overhead tarp made handling the little bit of rain we got a breeze. Tracey is very responsive and friendly . Would definitely recommend !

Weekend Trip to Paradise Estates Resort

We enjoyed our stay, the site is close to Mt. Rainier as well as other great hiking spots. This site is not very secluded so if that’s what you’re looking for this may not be it. Despite being in a more populated area you can’t beat the convenience of being near the national park & stores for that last minute item you forgot. Over all it was very comfortable & we enjoyed listening to the birds and having deer come through our site. It’s a beautiful spot & we wouldn’t hesitate to book it again. Zak was a great host.

I loved camping here. The space was private and ready for guests. The hosts go the extra mile and offer fire wood, tiki torches, and nice touches like automatic lights in the port-a-potty. I will absolutely be back!

Weekend Trip to Towering Cedars - Olympic NP

The sign outside the tent says it all: Glamping: It’s like camping with electricity, wine and much less dirt!! All true plus more! Two of my friends and I stayed at Towering Cedars for a long weekend over Memorial Day. This hip camp has so many offerings to make our stay comfortable and enjoyable. Juniper thought of everything, including: stemless wine glasses, dishes, cutlery, microwave, refrigerator, running hot and cold water in both the kitchen sink and a bathroom sink, and enclosed outdoor shower, the most tidy, clean and best smelling porta potty ever, Astroturf footing to lessen and dust, fire ring, festive outdoor lighting, outdoor chairs, extra bedding, blankets, games, a fan, a space heater, and much more!

Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin

We spent memorial day weekend at the cabin and the lake was busy! It was less private then we wanted but we still had an enjoyable time. The deck has a great view of the lake and we ate meals there. The dock was great to hang out on but very close to neighbors. We appreciated the amount of windows but would have loved more curtains/blinds considering how close the neighboring bnbs walkway was to the cabin. Bed was comfortable, kitchen had what we needed, and lots of board games and puzzles. The cabin was perfectly sized for 2 adults and doggo. Would stay again!

Very beautiful place with plenty of birdwatching and wetland scenery. The camp host was awesome and offered free firewood to campers. For spots, it was first come first pick so get there early for the best views! 10/10 would camp here again.

This was a nice little secluded spot tucked away against a pretty wild glimpse at Mother Nature. The name is appropriate, the song birds are pretty spectacular here. I had the course of birds through the day and I really fantastic lullaby from bullfrogs in the evening. And with a little nature walk spotted a few critters happy to have me not disturb their sunbathing and chilling in this neat little parcel of nature. Easy to book, personal touch by the owners without feeling intrusive, I happily recommend.

Weekend Trip to Pipe Lake Cabin

Beautiful, cozy, tucked in the trees, private. My love is having a good time doing a little fishing. Caught & released a lovely rainbow. Fire on the deck in the evening is so nice. There were some neighbors fishing on a boat. 3 nicest guys you ever meet. Gave lots of tips on how to fish this water. Reading, art & puzzles. So relaxing. We stayed an extra night! Gotta get the good moments when you can. Emily was super helpful getting the extra night booked. 🌙 If you like old school PNW lake cabins, this is for you. Reminds me of childhood.

This was our first camping experience - we loved that the property felt safe, clean, and close enough to stores in case of emergency. The composting toilet was so clean and had ZERO smell - amazing. Wood bundles were readily available, and Jennifer was quick to respond to messages. My 5 year old loved roaming around the property.

Visit Vashon Island and relax on this private estate property. Camp near the bluff, overlooking Puget Sound, walk the trail down to the beach and enjoy 1000 ft. of secluded beach. You can camp in the field by the bluff, or in the forest on either side of the driveway. The island boasts great coffee hangouts, galleries, wineries, restaurants (Earthen, The Ruby Brink, The Hardware Store Restaurant), Snapdragon and others. Minglement, the Burton Coffee Stand, and Cafe Olio Vino have great coffee. Thriftway is a great grocery store. The Burton Store is worth a visit if you are coming from the Tacoma/Pt. Defiance ferry as you will pass it on your way to the property. There a galleries, shops and restaurants in the town of Vashon and also in Burton. Vashon Center for the Arts, O-Space and the Chamber of Commerce have events that might be of interest. Bikes, E-bikes, paddle boards and kayaks can be rented from Vashon Adventures and Vashon Bikes.They also rent tents and some camping equipment. Outdoor fires are by permission only. There are sometime burn bans for air quality and/or high fire danger. Generally, fires are allowed AT THE BEACH, below the high tide line, between October 1 and June 15, but there are various reasons they may not be allowed (air quality bans, windy conditions, etc.) Any fire you light must be put out COLD (no steam, no heat) with water and buried with sand before leaving them unattended. You are responsible for any damage or injuries caused by a fire you start, so please be careful! Please note: It is very important that the number of people on site is accurate. Please contact Hipcamp to change the number of people - there currently is no way to do that on the site?! There is an additional charge per person above the base 2 person rate. If for some reason hipcamp doesn't automatically add in this charge, so we will request it separately. It must be paid in full prior to arrival. There is no outdoor music at any time. Rainier's Roadside RV

Welcome to Rainier Roadside RV, the ideal base camp for visiting Mt. Rainier! The closest RV site to Rainier's Nisqually entrance and a two minute drive to the gate! Beat the morning rush and be first into the park. Site amenities include a covered pavilion for afternoon picnics, a central fire pit area, electrical connections, and trash bin. This desirable location is both close to the entrance but also the road. During the busy season the line for the Nisqually entrance can back up over three miles long. This campsite is close to the park and less than a mile to the gate. This mean a couple things: You can be the first in line in the mornings, but traffic also backs up past the campsite starting around 8 am (see picture of road proximity from Google Earth for reference). The road traffic dies down in the evenings, as visitors tend to leave the park before dark. When you're not in the park check out the local sites including The Elbe Outdoor Shooting Range, Nisqually River (387th Ave Ct E), Ice cream at Elbe Junction or the Wildberry Restaurant across the street, just a stroll away! I appreciate feedback and reviews, I'm always trying to make the experience better!

Malaney Creek Farm

Established in 1977 as a resident farm, MCF was once rich with an old growth ceder forest feeding a cedar mill and railroad built by early settlers of Mason County. Remnants of the old growth giants still remain.

I continue to try to be a good steward to this little piece of land with very big trees. One side faces my studio with drive through access to a bunkhouse and hookups and the other is tent camping with room to explore. With a dog yard available you will be able to relax and enjoy. Learn more about this land: Part meadow part stand of very tall trees, over 70 years old with birds, hummingbirds, deer. Choose to camp there or in a wheelchair excessable drive next to a 1940 era grocery store that is now my pottery studio. A large bunkhouse is also on site in case of rain, if not rented. Large RVs will park in the front of the property. Tent camping is in the meadow with water and fire circle. /p>
