Fantastic private site! Spacious and secluded with running water! The sound of the crickets was so soothing. The hosts were extremely responsive and helpful. Located with easy access to the lakes. Instructions were super straightforward. Definitely would recommend and hope to return ;)

We had a great time at Camp Cushman. We stayed in our pop-up trailer, as well as set up aa tent. There was so much space, and so much privacy. As a family who generally dry camps, we appreciated all of the amenities: full hook-ups, great wifi, a plumbed outdoor washing station and a really nice bathroom. We had to unexpectedly cut our trip short, but we would love to come back again.

Great spot to camp especially if you’re looking for some more private access to the lake. The camp spot itself was super spacious and having the bathroom on the property was really nice. There’s water, power and sewage hookup. You’re also given WiFi access. The host is very responsive and helpful. Bring the lake pass they let you use and go to lake Kokanee and do something fishing or swimming. Everything is super close. We also enjoyed some coffee and ice cream at Hoodsport coffee company. Really nice area and definitely will be coming back. The hosts really put in effort on their property to make it an enjoyable experience. Thank you!

Secluded land in a forest near mountains and lakes. Need I say more? Well kept land and facilities. Our family greatly enjoyed being able to just chill while the youngsters ran wild.

This was the best RV Campsite out of 6 during our trip around Olympics NP. The large site provides Power, Water, Dump and Internet for the RV. Besides we found a luxury and clean Restroom, a fireplace and a sportsfield with a badminton net. Everything well maintained in the middle of the Woods - very quiet, no traffic around. Just perfect!

We pulled up and it was perfect. We had a great time. The site was well cared for, so clean and peaceful. We really enjoyed the deer coming through the site. We got some fishing done, caught really nice size rainbow trout. The spot was perfect for us. The bathroom was really a bonus. It's a great place to relax. I will definitely be back.

Awesome property. Very private and well taken care of. My wife and I along with our dog had such a fun time up there. Truck and trailer made it up the road fine and the RV spot was nice and level. Had all the amenities we could ask for. We will definitely be going back!

This camp has everything you need and is really close to Cushman and Olympic!! It's not too far from the main road where you won't likely get lost if it's dark but far enough that you dont hear cars. The camp has a nice bathroom as well if you want a bit of a glamping experience. It felt safe as a solo camper.

We loved staying at Byron’s. Definitely recommend if you’re looking for a private get away. They have gone above and beyond in making sure this place is equipped with basically everything needed for a wonderful stay from having a volleyball net, tools for bonfire, firewood, and a toilet! Communication was great I reached out once before our stay and quickly received a response.

This was an awesome spot for an easy getaway from Seattle. The yard was very well maintained, recently mowed grass that was nice and plush for tents, lots of space for fetch. So private. Bathroom was clean and maintained very well. It was perfect. If you are tent camping, be sure to turn the sprinklers off before heading to bed, or you will have quite the morning wake up. Great location! Excited to come back later in the season when it’s warmer and can explore some more :)

-there is a clean, odor free restroom on the site which contains a flushing toilet and sink.
-the kitchenette has a sink and counter top under a covered area.
-there is a fire pit with a few chairs in the grass and a picnic table with a fastened tablecloth and attatchable umbrella. No BBQ/ grill rack that I saw.
-the wooden deck has a shade umbrella, small dining table with 3 chairs as well as a patio couch with two patio chairs, but there are no cushions yet as it's still raining.

-small trailer on property that may be rented if you don't want to bring a tent or RV
-the host, Byron, was attentive and quick to respond.
-a parking pass that gives you access to the nearby private parks is available to borrow during your stay.
-the location is in a safe neighborhood, its easy to find, and the neighbors are very spread out
-there are several areas to pitch a tent. It's a large property.

This camp was beautiful! A little meadow in the middle of the woods. Campfire, tons of space, bathroom and the option for an RV package which I didn't even need! Highly recommend!

We love Camp Cushman!
The location is convenient to so many outdoor recreation areas and interests. We explored Hood canal, Mt Walker, Lake Cushman and even discovered there is a disc golf course close by so bring your disc's!
Byron is a great host and very communicative.
The camp is private, we'll maintained. Having an extra bathroom was a bonus!
We loved being surrounded by trees, birds of all kinds, lungwort, mushrooms and the resident deer family. The sky was perfect for skywatching and it was so quiet!
We look forward to our next stay at Camp Cushman🌿

Camp Cushman was the perfect weekend escape in our poptop van! Well maintained and secluded in the woods, we enjoyed starlite nights and the sounds of birds and frogs (and occasional chainsaw in the distance). With Wifi, bathroom with plumbing, and outdoor kitchen sink, this is glamping at its finest. Byron was a great host, and quick to respond. We will definitely be returning.

It was just what I was looking for private, quiet and peaceful. Byron had it all waiting for us - even WIFI.
1st night the skies were clear and stargazing was fantastic.
Bonus was the frequent visits from the deer.

This was our second stay at Camp Cushman. We've had stellar experiences both times. Byron is professional, accommodating, and responsive, and it's obvious he cares and has put a lot of work into improving the property and making it a true gem of a place to relax and enjoy a lovely getaway. Starlink internet is a game changer since cell service out here is spotty and I appreciate that amenity so much. There's also a flush toilet and two sinks (one outside), and full RV hook-ups! The property is very private and there's so much space for us and the pups to spread out and have fun. Will definitely be back!

Wonderful campsite and very private. We stayed with our 20ft trailer which was so easy to hook up. There are walking trails and our dogs loved the field to roam and play. We look forward to returning!

Great little spot tucked away in the woods! Easy access to great lake spots, plenty of amenities on site (power, wifi, running water, toilet) and everything was tidy and mowed. Very easy getaway landing pad.

Very private and comfortable place to camp! Plenty of green and freshly mowed grass for the pups to enjoy. Bathroom was clean with a flush toilet. We were able to meet the host on our way out, Byron was very nice and welcoming. He and his family have something special out there and we’re thankful they share it on Hipcamp!

The area was large and open, perfect for stargazing. It was quiet and private, except for the deer who wandered out of the woods. The indoor bathroom was great for some of our less rugged guests. Great site for new campers or families with small children and elders!

As other reviews have said, this place is a hidden gem. Absolutely private, lush greenery with the sounds of the forest surrounding you. My dogs and I loved our stay. And I will say, the clean cute bathroom makes it feel downright luxurious. Although it was just me, there's so much room to spread out. Going to see if my family wants to come back sometime soon!

We loved having the whole place to ourselves. Our kids absolutely loved the volleyball net and being able to go out exploring.

We loved camping on Byron's property! There is so much room to roam. I love that he only rents to one family at a time so that you get total peace and a pick of where on the property you want to set up. We utilized the park pass as well! I'm going to suggest it to my family to go there together. We'd still reach have a lot of space! Byron does a great job at answering artistic in a timely manner. Thanks Byron!
