We don't have a view of the river but it's nearby and our meadows and mountains offer a peaceful scene all its own. Feels like we're in the country but we live on a paved county road and only 4 miles from the city of Priest River.
Bring your boat for a trip on the Pend Oreille River to Lake Pend Oreille. Launching is a short distance away at the Mud Hole, Priest River City Beach or Riley Creek Campground. Try your hand at fishing for bass, kokanee, perch, northern pike, and trout in the river or on the lake. Wake up in a peaceful woodsy setting where elk, deer, the occasional moose and turkeys roam the property and are often seen in the meadow.
Load up your ATV, side by side or motorcycle and head for Priest Lake right from here. It’s a 21 mile (40 minute ride) to Coolin, ID. Enjoy the back county and take some of the IDL roads along the way to explore scenic drainages and in July/August pick some luscious huckleberries (the state fruit of Idaho) for a pancake or milkshake treat. In the fall, a nice central location for hunting camp. Want to go skiing or enjoy the summer lift ride? Head up to Schweitzer Mountain, about an hour drive away (38 miles/65 mins). The city of Sandpoint and Lake Pend Oreille (Idaho's largest lake) are a half hour away (26 miles/33 mins) and Silverwood Theme Park in Athol, ID less than an hour away (36 miles/52 min).

This is a very private and quiet place, more of a sanctuary and not a party place. The only thing you hear is nature, a breeze through the pine trees, the birds, and the creek.
This property was and is an organic permaculture farm in the forest. There are two orchards and an organic garden. The water is from a spring. The La Luna cabin is no longer off grid, but if the power does go out, it's a great place to be.. Hot Showers at my cabins are private and outdoors. There's nothing more wonderful than a hot spring-fed shower. The toilets are composting. (No water is wasted here)!
Two of the cabins were built from the trees on the property by the first family that lived here in the earlier 1900s. The Birds Nest cabin was originally a tool shed that needed a LOT of Love to be in the condition that it is today. It does have power, running water and wi-fi.
There is the option to take an acrylic painting class, banjo, guitar or fiddle lessons, paddleboard lessons, and have a real old-timey campfire with a glass of wine or two with live music performed by our famous Fiddlin Red on the fiddle, banjo, and guitar. Your experience here may change your life forever!

I can't see my neighbors, but they are awesome artists and musicians and some of them are off the grid!

If you are trailer camping you will have to back in from the public roadway up an incline to access the spot. If you aren't comfortable backing your trailer in this spot might not be for you. We also welcome tent and van campers! There is a fire ring, a picnic table, tiki bar, decks, chairs, and an outhouse. There is a trail down to the dock where you can launch kayaks, paddle boards or canoes. 4 kayaks are included with your stay!! The property is situated on the end of the lake with lily pads and beaver dens…. its beautiful but not the best swimming spot! If you want to take a dip in the lake the public boat launch is less than a half mile down the road! There are 3 rental spots that are all creek side and next to each other. You can wade in the shallow creek, swim in the pond, enjoy a walk up the road or camp area and just enjoy your camp spot surrounded by the forest and creek. There are also many trails and adventures within a 15 min drive of the property. Please note there are no restroom facilities. Campers are required to bring their own toilet setup.

As stated, Silverwood Theme Park and Farragut State Park (including their gun range) are all located ten minutes or less from our property. Other places to see include Bayview, Idaho and Sandpoint, Idaho - both situated on beautiful Lake Pend Oreille.
Things to note:
-Your site will be fully stocked to meet your camping needs! This includes a picnic table, a smokeless fire pit, fire starting materials, and a pad or pads to accommodate your tent(s).
-Nicely sized firewood bundles will be available for purchase.
-Our campground has a fully functioning outhouse that we take great pride in maintaining to ensure cleanliness and a pleasant experience. It may just be the biggest outhouse you’ve ever seen!
-Our campground now has potable water! Near the firewood stand you will find a spigot that can be used for your camping needs. Your site will have a large six gallon container of non-potable water to be used in the case of a fire emergency (if safe to do so).
-Dogs are allowed, but must be kept on a leash. Please pick up after your pet.

Like a postcard photograph, Bigfoot Campout sits perched over Mirror Lake on one end of a mountain bowl. Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive).
The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing.
Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground?
Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day.
Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee).
When selecting your campsite, please take note of the following:
Best lake views: Sites A, C and D. (Sites 1, 2, 3, E and F have partially obstructed lake views due to trees.)
Easiest RV access: Site B. It's a pull-through site.

This was the absolute perfect spot! The Honey Hive spot in particular is tucked back in the trees In just the right way, giving you a nice amount of privacy. Extremely well built picnic table and super neat smokeless fire pit! We had such a blast, stayed two nights and went to Silverwood’s Scarywood event which is less than ten minutes down the road. This spot I would imagine would be amazing in the summertime too as it would probably give you an healthy amount of shade from the surrounding trees. All around 10/10 thanks so much for everything! 🙂

Another great stay at Rich's place! Still one of the best hipcamps we've stayed in. It's private, amazingly clean, and just an all around great spot. Plus Rich is just a wonderful host and makes a great experience even better. Whenever we're in this part of the country we make a point to stay here.

Great spot to pull into for the night. Right off the highway so you do get traffic and also train noise. But super level and well laid out so super easy to back our 39 ft right into. Super clean too. A great place as a home base if you plan to be gone most of the day.

We had an amazing weekend at Blessed Pines. You can really tell that the host’s put their heart’s into the campsites. Tucked back in beautiful trees we felt like we were miles away from town, when in fact we had the ability to get to anything we needed within 5 minutes (grocery store, gas station, lakes, Silverwood, coffee, and restaurants). The host Debra was extremely accommodating, ready and happy to help when we asked. We will definitely be going back. Thank you for a wonderful weekend, that our family will keep in our memories forever!

We had such an amazing time at their little camp. The privacy between sites was very peaceful. Clean, comfortable, and great access to everything around. The host came and greeted us which was quite welcoming.

3 nice developed full service sites. Mine had a gazebo with picnic table and a shed to keep garbage in. It’s tucked in the woods but not far out of the town spirit lake. It allowed easy routes to go see things I wanted to see in northern Idaho and Washington. Quick and easy to Couer de Alene and Spokane. Rich came to make sure I’d gotten set up and check to see if I needed anything. On the day I was going to leave they were paving the road to get to camp with lots of heavy machinery on it. Rich said I could stay an additional night free of charge so I took advantage of it and was able to get out the next morning. I would highly recommend this site and the chance to meet Rich.

We absolutely loved Clagstone Acres, we loved it so much we ended up staying for a total of 17 days and we will return again. Nothing but natural beauty, surrounded by birds, squirrels and deer. By far our favorite Hipcamp stay to date.
Highly recommend for those wanting to get away and to be surrounded by nature’s beauty.

Wow! This site is everything you could hope for: clean, scenic, spacious, private, level, and relaxing. The hosts are friendly and helpful. We didn’t bring our dogs this time, but there is a wonderful off leash play area. All the sites were nice under the trees. F1 had a nice grass area too. The porta potty was very clean, and the decor around the property was fun!
