Beautiful property, and great views! Thoughtfully laid out, private, and well maintained campsites with plenty of parking, and room for dogs to run around. Lance was a welcoming host, and was very flexible with sudden schedule changes. Our own private outhouse was clean and easily accessible. Location for the property was nice, as it’s only a few miles from the highway, and convenience store gas station. Less than a half hour drive to several different lakes, and hiking/ biking trails.
If you’re staying in Campsire 2, then continue down the road past the mile marker, to the second entrance gate, which is much closer to the campsite (and not driving through campsite 1.)
10/10 would stay again.
This is one of my fav places to stay! I’ve camped here three times now and would keep coming back. Campsite 2 has a great view, especially from a hammock. Nothing beats the pavilion/deck area they’ve built between the birds, the outdoor kitchen, the games and activities. And the sunsets! It’s the perfect place to unwind with family and friends with a beautiful view, and the hosts are so welcoming and kind.

We loved this campsite. It is definitely off grid, but it feels safe. We loved the little walk to the lookout point with the hammocks and the games. There were hummingbirds and so many other birds to watch while we were enjoying the sunset. I highly recommend!

Zaltana campsite #2 was a little slice of heaven. We were tucked in the trees with a great view of the valley. Woke up to beautiful sunrises and the sound of birds.
Great private location, a bit of a drive down a dirt road, but totally worth it. Campsite is well maintained but still gives the wilderness vibes nestled in the trees.
Recommend for those who want a private area away from people.
We had a really great stay at Zaltana Campground! The site felt private, safe, and well cared for. The locked gates gave us peace of mind, and the private outhouse was surprisingly very clean. There was plenty of shade, beautiful views, and great cell service the entire time.
We brought our A-Frame trailer and still had room for tents or even another trailer. The fire pit was a little ways from the campsite, but honestly it would be perfect for families with kids since it keeps the fire area separate from camp.
The location was also super convenient with easy access to shopping nearby. The owner was available on site and very helpful. We didn’t make it up to the lookout deck this trip, but we heard the views are amazing and there are swings to hang out on too.
Already booked for next year.
The site was perfect, for our 2 day trip! Plenty of space for our vehicle, a trail, room for multiple tents, a fire pit, outhouse and a beautiful view! The hosts are absolutely wonderful and so communicative. Which I love! I would absolutely book again! Great plot for a break from reality!
These hosts deserve 5 stars for excellent communications! We booked in late (8pm-ish) and arrived after dark. They were so helpful with ensuring we had throw directions through text, as we were concerned about not having data or service, coming from Canada.They’re such lovely people with an amazing property!
We were so stoked on the beautiful valley view from the site and private outhouse that was very clean and didn’t smell… at all!!
The walking trails connecting the site to the sunset trail and communal space are well maintained and a beautiful taste of nature and the property has to offer.
We had so much privacy and felt well looked after. We will definitely be returning! <3

This place is a gem! This was my second time staying here and I’ve never booked another hipcamp twice so you know it’s good! The deck they’ve built is even better now than it was before. The bird watching is too good.

We spent a whole weekend camping up on zaltana retreat and it was one of the best trips we’ve ever taken! The views up there are incredible & the hosts are more than willing to help out as much as possible (when needed) to make the experience even better! We needed wood, they had some and proceeded to give it to us for free because we didn’t use all of it. Gave us a cool swim spot to check out. The outhouse is probably the cleanest one I’ve ever been in. The hospitality was just the best. SO welcoming. They really are just great people wanting to share their beautiful piece of land and I 10/10 recommend you go check it out! We will definitely be back that’s for sure!
My group of 4 went tent camping for a couple nights and had a wonderful stay! Quiet and private, good views and lots of bird watching. The open air deck was very nice for hanging out for a few hours when our campsite got a little too toasty for us. It had a nice breeze, comfy chairs, games/coloring, and it was fun watching the hummingbirds. The last night, it rained and we got some gorgeous misty morning weather and views. Hosts sold us a good size bundle of firewood and we're generally very accommodating and inviting. Thanks so much for a great stay, we hope to be back!
Lovely campsite that was perfect for our small get away. Lots of privacy with a beautiful view. Out house was nice and the space was nicely shaded.
Lance and Jen’s place was a gem - and overlooked a beautiful valley. Toilet was clean as was the picnic table - fire pit was a bonus too! Awesome, interesting couple. They were very helpful with directions and jumped my car when I ran down the battery (rookie error). I loved their dogs! And they loved my turkey and cheese. Yes bribery! Would highly recommend this HipCamp!!! I hope to hear from you when you cross the pond!
Amazing! Beautiful! It was so secluded and quiet with a wonderful view of the mountains from site #1, only an hour and a half from our home. Lots of birds. The host, Lance, was kind, friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to go back.

Campsite #2 is so private and peaceful with a great view and plenty of trees for hammocking. The outhouse is lovely and does not smell at all. There were lots of bugs but not the biting kind. The communal outdoor kitchen/deck is so relaxing and we loved bird watching up there. The hosts are super friendly! Would definitely come back.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay on Lance’s property! The perfect private campsite to get away with our 2 dogs! I was even impressed by the outhouse! (Which I never worry too much about anyway because I’m just grateful to have a toilet lol). Lance was very easy to communicate with and was so helpful and generous with sharing their space. We loved watching the hummingbirds on the look out deck! 10/10 would recommend and will definitely be coming back!
What a wonderful spot, breathtaking views campsite 1 is a must! Lance was very communicative and made sure we found everything okay he even had firewood ready for us at our campsite when we arrived everything was spotless and a true get away I’ll definitely be back! Would recommend to anyone! Great people, great views!
This was such an AMAZING find!! The camping spot was BEAUTIFUL surrounded by such beautiful views and I can’t even express in words how nice and lovely the Owners are!! My family seriously enjoyed this spot and we will be back! :)

Had a great time at Campsite 2 on Lance’s property! We used it as a base camp for turkey hunting and were welcomed with a nice private spot, sweet views through the trees, and only a quick drive back to town in Loon Lake. The community porch has an even better view of the surrounding area and they even have a nice sunset trail that you can take to tour the rest of the property. Would recommend!
We had a great time camping on the property! The hosts were amazing and friendly. Made it super easy to book and communicate with. The property was perfect, a nice spacious spot with your own privacy. Had some hiking trails with pretty views! The perfect getaway for a weekend trip will definitely book again for more trips in the future! Thank you to the hosts for allowing us to enjoy the space!

Beautiful and serene property with plenty of scenic vistas and trails to explore, I would highly recommend! Lance and Jenn (and their dogs) were friendly and accommodating, even telling us about local dog-friendly swimming accesses. The campsite was clean and well equipped, with a fire ring, picnic table, and port-a-potty. I would definitely come back
