No water, no toilet, no electricity—just trees, creeks, and whatever the heck you need to work out with nature. There are no designated campsites. You’ll choose your own spot—flat, forested, tucked-away, or by the seasonal creek. Some areas are cut away just enough to help keep the ticks out of your underwear (you’re welcome), but this is still very much wild land. You’ll find: • Towering evergreens • Snowberries, serviceberries, and wild grasses. Moss covered rocks and perhaps a spot we have yet to discover. • Mosquitoes (don’t say we didn’t warn you) • A whole lot of space to wander, both literally and figuratively This site is best suited for tent campers, car campers, backpackers, and solitude seekers. Artists, writers, and wandering weirdos are especially welcome. Trailers UNDER 22 feet only. Because of the primitive terrain we are not set up for anything over 22 feet. Please do NOT BRING anything larger. We truly appreciate it. Camper vans would do well at Primitive Acres. The land is remote, about 30 minutes from Spokane and 10 minutes from Loon Lake, and you likely won’t see another soul—but there are neighboring parcels nearby, each about 20 acres in size. You’ll feel alone, but not abandoned. No generators, no parties, no pets off leash. Pack it in, pack it out. No fires unless permitted. This isn’t a resort, but it’s definitely a reset. Come prepared. Come curious. Come undone, if you need to. WARNING: wild animals do roam through here. We ask that you watch your pets and keep them on leash for their safety. The neighbors also have a friendly old dog who likes to wander.

Trumpkinland Farm is part of what used to be an old dairy owned by one of the original settlers in this area. It is set in a rolling valley, surrounded by hills, mountains, and heavy forest. Learn more about this land: First, about my farm name:  My daughter had been reading The Chronicles of Narnia when we befriended and helped an orphaned little fawn, and she immediately named it Trumpkin, after one of the characters in Narnia. This is where her Trumpkin lived and grew up, and so this became Trumpkin's land AKA Trumpkinland Farm.  Over the years a number of deer have come to trust us enough to get relatively close and eat with our animals. Come camp with your tent or self contained RV in our private woods or meadows and enjoy our wild and domestic friends, too, in the beautiful, magical inland northwest!  You can have total privacy, and yet be a short walk from the main farm and a short drive to local natural attractions. There are trails to explore in almost all directions. Some camping sites can be driven to, primarily in the upper meadow, depending on your vehicle. If choosing to be deeper in the woods,  tent camping will work best in most spots, with a carry it in and park either in the meadow or down by the farm proper. If you are tent camping, don't forget a good pad under your sleeping bag! The ground is hard, uneven, and in some places rocky! As this property is also a farm, if you run short of food supplies, or want to buy some of what is produced right here on the farm, there are many options for that! From the gardens to wild fruit foraging, farms are all about food. Farms, camping, and the woods are also about relaxing. In this cannabis friendly state, if you choose to really RELAX, please relax respectfully. With fiber animals in residence, handcrafted socks, sheepskins and an assortment of hand spun gift items are available for purchase. We have two 50 amp full hook up sites as well as a third site that welcomes tent campers too. The third site has 30 amps and water, with sewer available as an "Extra" for RVs that want a full hookup. It also has our "Soon to be famous" Beach Outhouse. We love the area and are eager to share the hidden gems that abound here. We will be happy to recommend the finest day drives in the region as well as other adventure advice for our area. The Lazy C does not have cell service. The closest cell service can be obtained 20 miles away in either the town of Tonasket or Republic. That said, wi-fi calling on most cell phones work just fine. The land is remote, about 30 minutes from Spokane and 10 minutes from Loon Lake, and you likely won’t see another soul—but there are neighboring parcels nearby, each about 20 acres in size. You’ll feel alone, but not abandoned. No generators, no parties, no pets off leash. Pack it in, pack it out. No fires unless permitted. This isn’t a resort, but it’s definitely a reset. There are trails to explore in almost all directions. Some camping sites can be driven to, primarily in the upper meadow, depending on your vehicle. If choosing to be deeper in the woods,  tent camping will work best in most spots, with a carry it in and park either in the meadow or down by the farm proper. If you are tent camping, don't forget a good pad under your sleeping bag! The ground is hard, uneven, and in some places rocky! It’s a great setup to bring multiple families who want to share a camping experience but have your own space for a person camp experience. Super sweet couple; and the land/view is amazing. I misunderstood the RV site situation and kinda booked the wrong one but they were accomading and helped fix it. The property is so peaceful and we even walked down the road to see the cows and sunset. Brown Barrel has huge potential to become a really nice spot to get away for some quiet time. We wish we had known that we would be the only ones there as our spot was extremely dusty as it appeared to be more recently established and there was another spot that had gravel and would been a more pleasant spot to set up camp. Generally, the "camp ground" was pretty rough. The flush toilet was a major bonus even though we were fully prepared to dry camp. Our dogs appreciated being able to be off leash.

The Lazy C campground was a spectacular way to end our family roadtrip. The space is clean and well kept up. Site #3 has water and electric hookups (sewer is optional for extra charge). The water line appears to run from site #2 so make sure the valve is open over there. I didn't understand why our water wasn't on until I figured that out. Beautiful views of the area and the outhouse is very clean. Pretty good wifi was available at our site.

We had an absolutely amazing stay at Lazy C Campground! From the moment we arrived, Bryan and Colleen went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. Their hospitality was warm and genuine, and they generously offered us a beautiful RV spot which made our trip feel even more special. The location is perfect—right off Highway 20 with stunning views and a peaceful atmosphere. It truly felt like a hidden gem. We were constantly surrounded by nature, with plenty of deer wandering through the area, and an owl, which added such a magical touch to our morning and evening. Our site was spacious, clean, and had full hookups, which made settling in super convenient. We loved gathering around the shared fire pit—it was a great way to unwind. The on-site bathroom was well-maintained and easily accessible, and to top it all off, the WiFi signal was strong and reliable—a rare and much-appreciated bonus for a campground! Lazy C offered the perfect mix of comfort, natural beauty, and small-town hospitality. Whether you’re just passing through or planning a longer stay, I can’t recommend this place enough. The only complaint we had is that we couldn’t stay longer. But we’ll be back!! Thank you, Bryan and Colleen, for making our time at Lazy C so memorable—we’ll definitely be back!

These hosts deserve 5 stars for excellent communications! We booked in late (8pm-ish) and arrived after dark. They were so helpful with ensuring we had throw directions through text, as we were concerned about not having data or service, coming from Canada.They’re such lovely people with an amazing property! We were so stoked on the beautiful valley view from the site and private outhouse that was very clean and didn’t smell… at all!! The walking trails connecting the site to the sunset trail and communal space are well maintained and a beautiful taste of nature and the property has to offer. We had so much privacy and felt well looked after. We will definitely be returning! <3
