Worked wonderful! Was very flexible even after change #6 day before. Well spaced out for some small rv pull through or tent camping. Very dense forest bring lantern 😄 Only down side is no water so the portable bathroom ran out of toilet water on day 2 and we couldnt use it anymore so bring a backup.
I’ve stayed at this Hipcamp three times now, and that says a lot. It’s always been peaceful, quiet, and secluded which is exactly what I’m looking for when I want to get away. The property is well maintained, the sites feel private, and it’s a great place to relax and enjoy nature.
The only issue I ran into on this most recent visit was that my dog’s feet and between his toes became completely covered in tree sap, and it took quite a bit of work to clean off. This hadn’t happened during my previous stays, so I’m guessing it was just the time of year or the condition of the trees rather than something that’s always an issue.
Overall, it definitely doesn’t take away from my experience. I’ll absolutely be back and would still highly recommend this Hipcamp to anyone looking for a quiet, secluded camping spot.
We did tent camping and it worked perfectly! It was a good spaced lot and really close to the bathroom. Which was very nice it flushed and everything! Would totally go back again! The host was super nice even brought around firewood.

What a great setup! All the campsites are well marked and easy to get to, even in the dark. It’s a great setup to bring multiple families who want to share a camping experience but have your own space for a person camp experience. Kara the camp host was very good at responding to communication and let my boys and I enjoy some peace and quiet together. The bathroom was cleans and well stocked. We had a blast and would love to come back again!
Brown Barrel has huge potential to become a really nice spot to get away for some quiet time. We wish we had known that we would be the only ones there as our spot was extremely dusty as it appeared to be more recently established and there was another spot that had gravel and would been a more pleasant spot to set up camp. Generally, the "camp ground" was pretty rough. The flush toilet was a major bonus even though we were fully prepared to dry camp. Our dogs appreciated being able to be off leash.
We had a great time. Very well taken care of camo sites, private and quiet.

We loved the site! It was clean, level, open but private. We had the place to ourself yet didn’t think camp neighbors would have intruded. The flush toilet was immaculate! Camper’s Den we would visit again!
Second time this summer staying here at two sites. Bees were tough this time, but we always travel with traps, made it fine. Loved the spaces, took a few trips to nearby Waitt's Lake to cool off with dogs. We don't have a boat but were able to get in safely...to cool off (wear shoes, it is very rocky) Nice end to the summer, we will be back.
This was our second family camping trip here this summer. We booked two sites and spent the weekend with no other campers. Got to try out the different riding locations and went to Waitt's Lake to cool off. There was not an actual swimming area, but we were able to take dogs and get in to cool off on an unusually hot weekend. Definitely keeping this on the list for future trips.

It was wonderful camping under a clear sky, surrounded by trees, and the sounds of nature. The camp ground was 20 minutes from Waitts Lake and the Wild Turkey Mine (highly recommend if you love rocks) so there are plenty of seasonal activities around the area!
For this weekend of camping we wanted a quiet campsite in a forest that wasn’t too far away from home. Camper’s Den checked those boxes for us, and a little more. The gravel pad had more than enough space for our 20’ trailer. Behind the pad is this awesome, secluded fire pit area that sadly we weren’t able to use due to the understandable burn ban. But it served as a place to put our generator so that it was away from our trailer. Directions to the property and campsite were easy to follow. Kara was very quick in responses to any questions I had. The campground also has a real flushing toilet. There is also a spring a few miles away to get water if needed.
We will definitely keep this place in mind for future camping trips!
We booked a few spots for the holiday break. We (us, teenager, and dogs) took this site for our RV, canopy and to use for most cooking etc. Our adult kids used the other site for the cargo trailer (dirtbikes) and tent, with plenty of space to spread out. This setup was perfect for our family vacation!!! Both were close enough to the bathroom and each other, but not too close. We wouldn't have heard each other if we weren't going back and forth. Spacious and flat...easy to maneuver. This spot is furthest from the flushing toilet - but it had a path through the trees so you don't have to walk past any other sites to get to the facilities...very nice! The hosts watered down the loop to keep the dust under control too. Close to Loon Lake, we took a day trip to enjoy the lake and get ice etc.. Had to split timing, as pets are not allowed at the Loon Lake Resort. We plan to return to this space—very responsive hosts and happy to be able to share their piece of nature.

We booked a few spots for the holiday break. Adult kids split this space (we took the other). One set up a tent by the firepit (we used the other site for the actual fires by our RV), and the other used the cargo trailer in the main spot (after the dirt bikes were unloaded). Close enough to the bathroom and our site, but not too close. We wouldn't have heard each other if we weren't going back and forth. Spacious and flat...easy to maneuver. The hosts sent us notes on where to go to ride the dirt bikes, also just explored. Neighboring dog barking was annoying, but we understand the neighbors are working with the host family to help resolve this. Close to Loon Lake, we took a day trip to enjoy the lake and get ice etc.. Had to split timing, as pets are not allowed at the Loon Lake Resort. We plan to return to this space—very responsive hosts and happy to be able to share their piece of nature.
Overall, we enjoyed our stay. The bathroom was really nice to have, and the hosts were very generous and helpful. We wish we would have brought a kayak/paddle board to be able to access the water more. The new site Huckleberry Haven was pretty close to our site and would be good for groups to book together.
Great stay, great hosts! - use Apple Maps not Google or write down the address so you know which driveway to take b/c cell coverage was spotty for us. Huckleberry Haven was a perfect pull through spot for our small 23’ (including tongue) travel trailer and truck. More than a couple feet longer may be a bit snug.

I've always wanted to camp under the stars in the back of our truck. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary and we found this campsite and I booked with Kara. It was a wonderful experience. The property is really clean and so was the restroom. I like that the camp sites are not super close to eachother. The fresh air was amazing. I definitely want to come back with the whole family.

Very beautiful, wooded area campground, very quiet, peaceful definitely found some mushrooms. The camp Host was very friendly and very helpful of things to do in that area. We Road our side-by-side had a great time. There’s huckleberries up here but not right now. I’ll definitely be back for that. Such a beautiful place campsites are spacious and you’re not too close to your neighbor so we definitely will be back. Thank you Kara.

Overall it's a great campsite. Easy to find, Kara was a great host and the campsites were clean and well maintained. Only problem we had was our campsite was backed up pretty close to the neighbors property and they had a dog barking from 9pm-6am both nights we were there.
Our family loved camping at this little hidden gem! It was very clean, safe and spacious. All the spots were far enough from the other where you couldn't see each other. The hosts were very nice and our kids made friends with theirs quickly. The only complaint is that the closest lake is 15 min away, (Waitts lake) but there is a little creek close by that you can bike or walk to. All in all we had a wonderdul stay and would camp here again.

We had such a great weekend relaxing and just enjoying the family. With kids off to college it was nice to be able to just enjoy each others company without the hassle of so many other campers around. Our host and their guest showed my son and I were we can take our dirt bikes.
It’s definitely a great spot that we will visit at again.
It was a beautiful drive through Valley, WA to get to the campsite. It was clean and easy to find, and each site has a firepit near the tenting space. If you are one to set up camp and chill with some beverages and games, this spot is perfect! As someone who loves hiking, this spot doesn't have much to explore (forest is too dense and no water nearby).
We didn't see the hosts while we were there, but Kara was quick to respond when I messaged her with a question beforehand.
