The Bench
The view was amazing and the site and amenities were fantastic. Will absolutely go again. The host was very responsive to every question we asked.
We love going to “The Bench”! Joel and Mercy are great hosts. The view is breathtaking and the weather was outstanding making our visit even more enjoyable and relaxing. This was our third visit and we can’t wait to visit again in 2027.

Joel and Mercy were great hosts! We enjoyed chatting with them. We loved the privacy and the views were amazing! Not many Hip camps offer full hookups either - a big plus. Will Definately be returning!

Perfect site. Site had a great view, we enjoyed the beautiful gazebo. Site has power water and sewer and was off of a paved road. Site only 8 minutrs from a grocery store. Joel and Mercy were great hosts we enjoyed meeting them very much.
Joel and Mercy are wonderful hosts. This is our second stay and even though it rained much of the time, the space and accommodating gazebo worked out great. Looking forward to our next stay.

25 ft travel trailer. It was so beautiful, peaceful and comfortable. It was easy to find and not far from town but had the feeling you were far from town. Backing in was a bit of a challenge but we overcame it quickly. We are already trying to figure out another trip.

What an amazing, beautiful spot Joel has created. We really enjoyed our weekend there.
My wife, our pup, and I stayed a night at the bench while on our bicycle tour of the Selkirk Loop. It was our last night of the trip and couldn’t have been better. Fantastic views, a wonderful place to sit and relax the afternoon away. Unfortunately, the weather dampened our watching of the fireworks, but the view of the fog shrouded river in the morning more than made up for it! The space is amazingly well kept and the hosts couldn’t be more welcoming. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a quiet, peaceful time away.
We enjoyed our stay at Joel and Mercy’s place. The site was very peaceful and relaxing which was exactly what we were looking for. It’s a bit above the river, so hiking or e-biking would be recommended if you are not with car or don’t want to break camp. The view is to die for! We hope to visit again.
We had a quick visit to The Bench and it had everything we needed. The location is beautiful and surprisingly close to town, which is great. Hosts were kind and friendly and also gave us space. Appreciated the full hookups! Would definitely stay here again!
Wow, what a great place to stay! The views here are absolutely breathtaking, and the site is right next to the coolest covered patio/gazebo with an outdoor fireplace and electric outlets! I hooked up my Starlink there, and I used the picnic table for meals. The RV site is very easy to get in and out of, has full hookups, and it overlooks their beautiful garden and yard, with the river and mountains beyond. Joel and his wife, Mercy, are great hosts and very helpful.
I saw wild turkeys and deer during my stay, and I could hear owls hooting in the night. You’ll want to stay multiple days at this one!
