The simplicity of the property along with having full hookups was great. It was so quiet at night we could have been the only ones on earth. We have talked about building a Hipcamp, and Rich's place is a great blueprint.

I'm gonna be honest, if I wasn't on a tight travel schedule I would probably have just stayed here all summer. Quiet, well maintained, full amenities, and 15 minutes from downtown Spirit Lake. I really can think of anything else I would have needed.

We had the best long weekend at Clagstone. The site is everything you would need camping . Clean and quiet and a great place to hangout. Rich gave us a call when we got in and offered firewood and a fire pit and told us some spots to check out nearby. Then checked in with us when we left and made sure everything went well . If we ever go to Idaho again we will definitely be staying there. It was the best long weekend getaway where we could relax and hangout . Nicest camp spot we’ve been to so far! Thanks Rich!

If you’re looking to unplug and enjoy some peace and quiet, Clagstone Acres RV Park is a hidden gem. Tucked away down a dirt road, this secluded, wooded spot is perfect for relaxing and getting away from the hustle of town life.
With just three RV sites, each offering full hookups, it’s a small, quiet setup that gives you plenty of space to unwind. The setting is all about nature—trees, calm surroundings, and that true “middle of nowhere” feeling (in the best way).
Rich, the host, really makes the stay even better. He’s friendly, welcoming, and full of great recommendations for nearby dinner spots and coffee stops—always a bonus when you’re exploring a new area.
If you want to experience the beauty of the Inland Northwest without crowds or noise, this is a perfect place to settle in for a bit.

We LOVED this spot! We camped in our 30ft class C. Each of the spots (there are 3) we would have enjoyed. Rich called us to make sure we had everything we needed. Full hookups was wonderful. He provided a firepit and trash cans. We were sad to leave and can't wait to come back.

If you're needing a camp spot anywhere in the area - this is the one!
We've stayed at many hipcamps all over the country and I'd have to say that Rich's camp was the cleanest, nicest, and over all best one we've stayed at so far.
The site:
It was peaceful and surrounded by woods. Rich put a lot of thought into designing the layout and it absolutely shows.
We were far enough off the road (dirt and quiet) that the few cars that did pass were no issue at all. You can't even see the road from the situation your camper .
The gravel pad was perfectly level and didn't even require leveling blocks (a first for us). We had the place all to ourselves, except for the wild turkeys who would pass through occasionally.
The view of pines from every window was just so nice and relaxing. There was also a gazebo with picnic table provided that was fantastic. Clean, sturdy and very important - spider free!
Rich:
What a truly nice man! The world would be a better place if there were more people like Rich.
He reached out before check-in and gave us directions to the spot, eating recommendations for in town, activity ideas, and checked on us day of to see how our travel was going. He stopped by to ensure that we were doing ok during our stay, and stayed to chat for while. It was lovely.
Needless to say we would absolutely stay again.

The Perfect Basecamp for North ID

A very nicely appointed site a short drive from town and plenty other great outdoor activities. It's the perfect base camp for exploring the area of Northern ID. Sites have full hookups, are level, private and wide, with a covered picnic bench and a small, lockable shed. The amenities at this Hipcamp reset my expectations and are now the baseline by which all others will be judged. Other than a short semi-steep climb off the road, it's very easy to get into your spot (even for large rigs).
A few FYI's to be aware of. First, bring Yellow Jacket traps. They were constant when we visited in late August. They're chasing moisture, so keep wet stuff away from you and you'll be fine. Second, this is the real Idaho. There's a sandpit a few miles away where people shoot, as well as a local competition on Sunday at another location near the Hipcamp. Both are shooting away from your location, so you're not "down range"...but something to be aware of.

I loved camping here. Rich called the day before to check in and day before checkout. Rich was very pleasant. The site was amazing. It was very quiet and peaceful, just what I needed. There were lots of places to ride the side by side and quad. I recommend this beautiful place just bring mosquitoes repellent.

We loved camping at Rich's property in Spirit Lake Idaho. Honestly one of the nicest places we've stayed, each spot has its own shed and own gazebo with a picnic table. We were also provided with an enclosed firepit and plenty of firewood which was an awesome bonus. The property was peaceful with a small amount of road noise but nothing crazy, if it was not a dirt road I doubt you'd hear anything at all. There is 50amp and 30 amp hookups for electric and the other full hookups are very nice as well everything was fantastic, the spot we were in was exceptionally level side to side, no leveling blocks needed. One thing to note for certain people is we have AT&T for cell service, we had just enough service to make a phone call but not much else, no big deal for us but just something to note. All in all I would give this site a 5/5 rating, Rich was very hospitable and we very much enjoyed our stay here.

WOW... and we mean this in a very positive way! The photos show exactly where you will park your RV.... with a beautiful gazebo and a picnic table underneath. We entered Idaho from the West on I-90, and Rich's directions were perfect. There are two other sites where two RVers stay from April through September. We met one of them, Bill, who walked over and introduced himself. We had a nice chat, and he explained the shortcut over to Athol. This is a fun route, as we were able to see more of the area.
When we arrived, you could hear gunshots (Rich informed us that this can and does happen). People are practicing and this did not bother us. What DID bother us was the extremely loud "music", especially the echoing bass from a nearby piece of acreage. We did not come here to listen to that. Bill said that it goes on all day. Well, this was upsetting. Fortunately, Rich gives you a phone call to check in with you to make sure everything is ok. I told him everything is lovely except the BOOM, BOOM, BOOM of the music. Rich said this is NOT ok and he will be coming over and will call the owner of that property, as they are building a house and the contractors are playing the music. Rich's efforts paid off and we did not hear it again. We also met Rich when he came over and enjoyed a very nice chat with him!
This lot and campsite are both beautiful in the trees, well designed, and oh......... the scent of the trees!!!
Rich is the perfect host, and yes, we would stay here again!

This place was WONDERFUL! I was hesitant at first based on a comment about dogs barking, gunshots, and road noise. Honestly the dogs are not outside and barking the whole time and it's far enough away it is easy to tune out. The same with the hunting range. As for the road traffic, it wasn't bad at all when we stayed there. Very few cars drove by. All the noises could not be heard in our camper. This place was spacious, clean, and affordable. This is FAR better than an RV park. Rich was very kind and communicative. He provided firewood and kindling. All in all a great spot and we will definitely be back!!

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Rich’s site. The area is well maintained, great location. Rich provides all necessary things, fire pit and grille, wood, garbage, storage shed. There’s a wonderful picnic table spot under a covered gazebo. Really nice time at his property!

Rich’s spot is absolutely amazing. Close to Silverwood, close to Spirit Lake and very close to Sandpoint and the lake. We would highly recommend this place!
We tow a 33’ passport and had no problems back in and the hookups were top notch. We will return!

Our trip to Clagstone Acres was both memorable and easy! Perfect location for a trip to Silverwood and exploring the surrounding area. Booking the site was straight forward, all information needed was on the site and Rich was very communicative throughout the trip. The site was clean, easy to maneuver, and quiet. Rich suggested a few lakes for swimming and fishing, hiking trails, and ice cream shops. We were within 45 minutes of everything you would want to do in the area; Silverwood, Sandpoint, Coeur D’Alene, Farragut SP, and numerous lakes in the area. Great experience and look forward to staying here again. Thank you Rich!

Rich’s place was as described. Easy in and out with level parking. There were lots of side roads/OHV trails off the main road for me to walk my dog for miles, which was great. We saw many wild turkey during our stay. It is a peaceful area, but it’s also countryside and you will hear gunshots in the distance pretty regularly. Otherwise very quiet, especially at night. It’s very close to Spirit Lake, so easy to pop in and get what you need from town. I would stay again and recommend it as a great place to stay to anyone.

We really enjoyed the location for many reasons! There is a nice distance between us and the other campers and it was a pretty great location to places like Sandpoint, Postfalls or Silverwood! Rich was available and helpful through our stay! With all of the hookups for an RV and a pretty quiet place to stay we were happy with our choice!
