Angell Creek Campground is located in beautiful Island Park Idaho. It has been in our family for over 50 years. We are surrounded by pine trees, and it is a quiet place to escape the noise of the world. It is a place to recharge and enjoy the outdoors. Our campsite is close to West Yellowstone and only 30 mi. from Yellowstone National Park. Island Park has a lot to offer including: boating, waterskiing, fishing, canoeing, swimming, hiking, trail riding and much more. All of these activities are within a few minutes away. We are in close proximity to highway 20 and easy access to services and dining. We have a very large parking area where you can park trailers and vehicles. We have about 3 acres and have 5 RV spots. We have a central sheltered picnic area and a big fire pit on each RV spot. Each pad is rented at $35 a night with provided 50 and 20 amp service with an adapter provided for 30 amp service. No water or sewer is provided. There is a porta potty on location from mid May until end of October. Must pack out all of your trash or be a accessed a cleaning fee per lot. Although wanting to keep this campground in a primitive state, we will be adding a few updates in coming years. Pets allowed on a leash only.

Like a postcard photograph, Bigfoot Campout sits perched over Mirror Lake on one end of a mountain bowl. Campers will have gorgeous views and sunsets over the lake. Fishing, swimming, kayaking, paddle boarding, sailing, hiking and wildlife watching abound. The campsite is off-the-beaten path so you'll be away from the crowds, yet the site is still close to other area attractions like Lake Pend Oreille (10 min. drive), charming downtown Sandpoint (15 min. drive) and Silverwood Theme Park (30 min. drive).
The beauty and allure of Mirror Lake led to it being featured in two Hollywood movies -- Dante's Peak (1997) and Mel (1998). The lake itself is excellent for fishing, and stocked with Kokanee, Brook Trout, Rainbow Trout, and Cutthroat Trout. The stocking is typically scheduled for the first week of June each year, so if you are an angler, it's best to come after June 7th for the best fishing.
Paying homage to the Bigfoot legend in northern Idaho, the theme of this campground is all things Sasquatch! Can you find all 9 Sasquatch hiding throughout the campground?
Swimming in nearby Talache Landing (a.k.a. Talache Beach) on the shores of Lake Pend Oreille is an absolute must-do. The views are absolutely stunning and the water is crystal clear -- and quite refreshing on a hot day.
Fishing is best done in a canoe or small boat which can be put in at our campground dock (free) or at the nearby public boat ramp ($5 fee).

Please make sure RV tanks are empty in order to hook up to septic. No RV dump station on site.

With the river location, we get very windy conditions along the river corridor. Awnings can easily become damaged during these conditions. Please take notice and consider putting awnings away so that they don't get damaged. Along the same lines, please don't have campfires if the winds are high.
Make sure your dogs are on a leash. We have mules on the property that DO NOT like dogs. This is for the safety of your dog.
No fireworks on the premises.
We do have a couple small trash cans that get dumped on Thursdays...that being said....we are NOT a dump. If trash cans are full or you have large items, please haul your trash to Lemhi County Landfill. They are open Monday-Friday: 7am-5:15pm and have dumpsters open on the weekend.

The address to the house next door is 519 MiddleFork Rd, Garden Valley, ID 83622. That will get you to the property. The property is right after 519 it is a large open lot that leads down to the river. There is a black military vehicle parked on the very end close to the house.
So there are two sections 1st is a flat section where you have plenty of room to set up tents and RVs. It is right off the road, and any car can get to the site with ease. The 2nd section is more wooded and has access to the river. You are welcome to tent camp here it is just getting an RV down there and out can be a challenge I don't recommend it. Also, the bridge across the river is the neighbors and so is the property across the river. There are roughly 4 campsites on the property but can camp where you want really.
Large flat spot above the river that has access to the water. Half of the property is a flat spot for RV's and tents the 2nd half is more green, woody and has access to the river. There is a deeper spot in the river that is 3-4 feet deep and is perfect to lounge in during the hot parts of the summer. Please pack out what you pack in and keep the place nice for the next camper. This spot was great if you want to stay in downtown Boise. It is just a parking spot behind a house but we knew that going in. We were able to walk to two brew pubs. We did not have any issues with noise but we were there on a Sunday night. I was able to fill up my water tank which sealed the deal!

We loved this little hidden gem! So quiet and easy to get to Yellowstone and the sights around Island Park. Nice restaurant next door with homestyle comfort food. We stayed four nights at the end of September when the weather is perfect and were the only campers most nights. Stayed in #2 and loved it. We kept extending our stay because we loved it so much and the price was so reasonable. The owner was easy to work with and quickly responsive to us. She was very generous and even gave us a free night. We will for sure be back!

Stayed here in the off season so it was nicely empty and felt secluded. Def read all directions from host as we misread some that would have made our stay better! Would stay if in the area again!

I usually look for sites with shade and more space but the amenities and value more than make up for lack of size and shade. The hot tub and pool is fantastic, the bathrooms and showers are really nice, but breakfast really was the icing on a nice cake. Scrambled eggs, sausage, fried potatoes, biscuits and gravy, pancakes, cereal, fruit. Oatmeal. We were paying $40 for the two of us to eat breakfast. We got breakfast and a campsite with full hookups for less.

Each time I travel through Boise I stop to rest here. The location is great. It is in the city and easy to get to restaurants and do activities. There are some bike jumps a short ride away and other mountain biking too. There is an amazing skatepark under an overpass down the street as well. This is just a parking lot with a hose but a solid location

Stacy was a great host! Made sure we had everything we needed. He added in fun surprises & cute signs & resting spots to find along the trail - nice touch! We’d like to go back and do some kind of talent show at the Ampitheater sometime. BEAUTIFUL VIEWS! The Snake River, the sunsets & the waterfalls were stunning. Our dogs were able to roam around and also had so much fun!
If the wind starts kicking up at night, it could be an issue for anything not secured & those in tents. The lava cliffs are incredibly beautiful. Little kids & over active teens with no fear would need to be watched at all times for safety.
We would like to go back sometime for sure!

This site is the reason that HipCamp exists. The view is unreal, quiet and peaceful. The owner has put a lot of work into the campsite as well. I especially loved the cliff-side trails with the boulders set up as benches to sit on. The only downside is the subtle whiff of the cattle farms in the distance if the wind blows from the east. But, it was not bad at all. I'll definitely stay here again.
