Located only a 5 minute drive to Mayfield Lake in Lewis County, our property is a rustic retreat from the hustle and bustle. There are plenty of outdoor exploration opportunities in the area. We have 5 acres with a great camping spot with a fire pit nestled among large evergreen trees. The tress provide shade in the summer months. For bird lovers and botanists, we have left our land native with grass lands among the trees. This is a gorgeous park-like RV campground situated between the trees of the arboretum. NO TENTS, please. Also we have NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS. Beautiful view of the mountains and forests here in western Washington. We are close to Mt. St. Helens and Mt. Rainier and several lakes.
There are walking trails all around the site. The 12 acre campground is located on a 136 acre property that is an active Christmas tree farm. Trails continue throughout the tree farm.
Many trails have a view of the Tilton River, which can be reached via a challenging 3/4 mile trail. Sites are on 12 acres planted with many different species of trees that are about 30 years old. Giant Redwoods, Cedars, and Maples are just a few of the varieties present. Part of the farm is still a working Christmas tree farm.
The trails are wide and grassy. The old logging road that we use as a trail to the river has an elevation change of about 500 feet, the trail can be quite challenging. Bear Creek empties into the Tilton river at the end of the trail.
There is an ART GALLERY where you can learn to pound flowers, see the host's artwork and get a cup of coffee! This is upstairs through the check-in entry-way. Tilton River Studio Gallery.
Three sites have electrical hookups. Every site has a water spigot (use a pressure regulator if you want to hook up). No restrooms or sewer hookups. Garbage disposal site (dumpster) available Memorial Day to Labor Day.

Located about 10-15 minutes from Mayfield Lake. 20 minutes from Mossyrock. There are several nearby logging roads for exploring.
This site is very quiet except for a few cars that drive by each day.
There is a picnic table and fire pit with grill (except during burn bans, usually July-September). There is also some firewood available for use.
Site has full hookups: 50 amp (240v) electrical service (adapter available to 30 amp, 120v), sewer, and water (not tested for drinking).

15 minutes from Interstate 5. We are one hour from Mt Rainer and one hour and fifteen minutes from Mt Saint Helens. The camping area is an old christmas tree farm. We maintain two spots for camping. We have one porta-potty shared between campsites. Each campsite has one picnic table, fire-ring and access to a porta-potty. The area is quiet and secluded. Black-tailed Columbian deer are regular visitors, while the barn owls will serenade you in the evening. You will be able to see ALL the stars!
The road is suitable for small RVs, campervans, truck camping, small school buses, and cars (as long as the cars have some ground clearance). Not suitable for Class A RVs. It is an old logging road made of compacted rock. Cell service is OK. Upload/download speeds might be slow.

Pleasant Places campground is clean, quiet, spacious, and private with lots of nooks for R&R, as well as ample space for play and activities. It is an ideal location for large groups and in order to keep the campground as a single site, larger groups are given preference. Birdsong comes early here, and crickets and frogs light up the evenings. There aren't any city lights, so stargazing is a real delight. Centrally located and with 10 acres of field, forest, and farm, there is something of interest for everyone.
In camp, you will find a rustic kitchen with three picnic tables, and a fire pit with accessories. There is a sink for your convenience so remember to bring water containers for hand and dish washing.
The resource area for campers is at the second gate and has an electrical outlet, a water hose, and a wagon for transporting items to camp. We have several items for sale, including nice firewood bundles, farm-fresh eggs, and snacks for hand-feeding the farm animals. Lawn games (volleyball, badmintton, bocci ball), hammocks, a parachute, etc. are available for rent.

What a pleasant surprise this place was. Trish was super helpful and friendly. She quickly answered any questions we had. They are close enough to help if needed but far enough away where you felt complete privacy. Full hookups was a big perk. The view was amazing, tons of birds singing, wildlife to explore, acres of land to roam, a pond for the doggies to enjoy, and river access. We plan our RV trips around our golden retrievers ability to enjoy them and this place was heaven to them. Many wonderful memories made. 10/10

This place is phenomenal and exceptionally well thought out. Dawson was super helpful and responsive. The deck view was stunning and the place had everything we needed to make an amazing meal. This area is also beautiful and the drive to and from is unreal. Hope to be back soon.

What we love most about this campground is how spacious it was. We have a very long bumper pull trailer and a large van because we haul lots of kids and a dog, we were able to pull in without a problem. There was plenty of room to turn around. It is hard to find a spot that has enough room for our large camper with power and water hook up. We also had a large car trailer in tow with us too, and there was enough room to park both of them.
The covered Gazebo had light so we hung out under it and played UNO for a bit.
It was so nice being able to rent out the yurt. It was very cool. There’s a pool table in there so the kids had a lot of fun shooting pool and playing games plus it was a great place to do the dishes and a little bit of cooking. There is a full-size bathroom inside the yurt, which was awesome because our tanks are not that big on our trailer so everybody got to shower. There was not a burn ban, so of course we had a great fire and kids got s’mores !!! The host even had firewood there for our use!! Most places charge extra for that.
This is a 10 out of 10 recommend!!! We will absolutely be back!!!

Sarah's spot was an absolute godsend! It was perfectly located after a day spent exploring Mt Rainier, in a super cute and very small town with a great little grocery store and an absolutely wonderful thrift shop. Sarah herself was very communicative, and the amenities were fabulous. I've stayed at a lot of campsites, and to have the ability to use a private bathroom and shower, do laundry, use a microwave, have a fenced in yard for a puppy to explore, and a firepit... awesome! Sarah and her mom were both super kind, attentive and helpful, and I would absolutely stay again.

We loved our stay at Sarah’s BlackBerry Basecamp! Super easy instructions and fast responses helped us set up quickly. This was a perfect spot to stay before heading to Mt. Rainier. We parked our camper van next to her shed which helped shelter us from the weather. Had access to a toilet, shower and laundry. Sarah even has a little buffet area where she offers filtered water, a microwave and snacks. Downtown Morton is a mile away and I highly recommend visiting Main Ave Cofferhouse and Bakery, which has cinnamon rolls the size of your pillow.

This place was amazing. Everything we were hoping for. Trish and Kary were fantastic. Very easy communication prior to the stay. Kary met us upon arrival. They had a great gift bag for us and even cool stuff for our pups.
The spot itself is really something. We saw a number of deer along our way. Lots of different bird varieties and countless stars at night. The river was pretty ashy after some hesvy rains but was easily accessible and there are multiple spots with seating and fire pits around. The vintage trailer on site was really nice and I showered comfortably. I’m 6’5 and had no issue!
Although I’d like to keep this place as our little secret, it’s too special not to endorse to anyone on Hipcamp!

Weekend Trip to Alder Grove Retreat
Amazing, absolutely amazing land that we stayed on. Dawson (camp host) was excellent in communicating with us if we had any questions or concerns. We had a wonderful stay away from the world we live in today.
The cabin we stayed in was maintained very well, upkeep on the trail leading to the cabin was top notch. We began our stay in wet and cold conditions. The trail had fresh wood chips to counter the slippery conditions. The parking area was freshly laid with a bed of thick gravel, this made parking and unloading our belongings safe for us.
We recommend this stay to anyone looking for paradise in the mountains. To note, we stayed nice and warm throughout the night which was pleasant. We plan to stay many times when the weather is warmer.

We had a very relaxing and lovely time! We travel in a 30ft class C. We fit perfectly. We also travel with a medium size dog. There is an old logging road right across the street perfect for walks. There are areas on site that are perfect for middle of the night when puppy has to go. Yes, the owners are on site, but other than the initial greeting we didn't see them. We were relaxed. There was enough room to park our extra vehicle and set out chairs. We work remotely, so while our phones were fine, we did struggle to get strong enough service to work. But if you are not working, it is perfect. It was a wonderful spot and we will be back. Oh, Starlink worked great.

Great camping spot for our group of (3) adults but could see this as an ideal spot for a couple. You’re close enough to civilization in case of an emergency but far enough to feel private aside from the occasional distant dog bark or donkey bray. Having a picturesque walking trail built-in was fantastic and offered a good opportunity to exercise and soak in some afternoon sun to warm during a very cold weekend.
