Awesome Stay
My wife and I deeply enjoyed this campsite. It was just us, our dog, and 21 acres. We had an abundance of privacy, and loved the getting away from the city and coming to this country getaway with full hook ups. If you’re considering staying here, I recommend you do it! You will not regret it.

We enjoyed our stay. The views are terrific and the property is fun to explore. Lots of room for the dogs to run. Vaughn is also responsive. We had an issue with the electrical hookup and he responded and got it resolved.

Love the site but.....
Love the site but, when we arrived there was a contractor working on the water system. We had to wait 3 hours before he left before we could park and setup. It was 6:30 PM at that point. Every was a bit Hangry! Contractor advised us to NOT drink the water. We were fine, but our Kids didn't fill their tank with water. Luckily we had enough for everyone.
The turn around was a bit of a tight squeeze for our 40 ft trailer as the contractors trailer and the wood debris pile were in the way.
Would return as long as we are assured there isn't any work going on at the site!

The property was nice and private. Enjoyed watching the universe at night. We did not walk down to the lake but it was a quick drive to get there. Plenty of room for our dog to run around. It wasn’t far from the small town of Mossyrock or Morton if you needed to pick up some supplies.

Pet friendly and relaxing!
We had a great experience camping on Gilbert’s land! It was beautiful, wide open, easy to find, and the dogs had a wonderful time. We have a 34 ft toy hauler and there was so much extra space, and could of invited a few more campers. Altogether a very relaxing few days! Thanks for hosting us.

Private WIDE open space!
Exactly what we were looking for! Easy to get to, WIDE open space, extremely private, and a very responsive and helpful host.
Close to Riffe Lake for kayaking/boating.
The stars at night were awesome, hello Milky Way!
Even though the shop was new and unexpected, we did not mind it at all, It gave us two power sources on a hot day. And we were able to fill RV water tanks from the well pump.
We will definitely be back for another stay.
I'm guessing the host will eventually build a home on the site but selfishly, I'm hoping he takes his time and waits another 10 years :)

Great for Dogs!
Gilbert’s place is fantastic. The views are even more beautiful in person. There is a large shop on the property, and the shade from that came in handy during the 100 degree heat. There’s an electric outlet at the shop, as well as water. It was great to have access to water for the dogs. The dogs had an awesome time running and sniffing everything. We walked down to the lake twice, but finding some nice beach was tricky but we found a great location. This hipcamp spot is so quiet and the stars are awesome. Directions and info was clear, and the host was great. It felt very safe and secure, so I felt no stress about leaving my stuff for the day. I would definitely recommend this place and book again in the future.

There is a building/shop on the gravel pad now that wasn’t in the pictures. We were still able to park a 21’ travel trailer and a pop up trailer and 2 trucks. The field was all waist deep (or higher) grass which limited the amount we chose to explore the property. The kids and dog spent some time playing in the tall grass and no one seems to get any ticks. It would be nice if the grass was mowed or if there were some trails through it, or if the pictures were updated. There was one trail that was, I’m guessing, created when running the power line. The lake was a few minutes drive down the road. The water and power worked. We did need an extension for the power. We brought an extra large extension for the water but didn’t need it because we parked close enough to it. We saw a few deers in the field. Sunset from the property was beautiful and we all in all had a peaceful beautiful time.

This was a perfect refuge to get away from the busy city. Woke up every morning with a country side view. The easy access to Riffe Lake was a huge bonus. So happy to have found this spot. Will definitely come. Ack again in the future.

Beautiful Property! So quiet!
The property is beautiful and private. So quiet. Easy directions - I had cell service the entire weekend (for navigation). Our dogs loved running off leash all weekend. We arrived and unfortunately didn’t have the 30amp power we anticipated. But Vaughn was immediately responsive and apologetic. The PUD hadn’t fulfilled the work to switch the power on at the shop. Vaughn immediately deployed his dad who lives local to lend us an extra extension for 110. Thankfully, it was a cool weekend so we had no need for AC, and we were able to run everything necessary. Despite that small issue, it was the perfect spot to unwind, drink coffee, and enjoy the quiet. The driveway is laid with a black “shale-like” rock which can be rough on fur baby feet, but there was so much property that was grass and dirt that they were living their best life. Would definitely stay here again!

A fantastic site with amazing views
A great place to setup camp and be away from all the noise. This site had plenty of room for our 3 trailers and even more space for our children to stretch their legs. It offered amazing views with seemingly unlimited outdoor adventures within walking or a short drives distance. The town of Mossyrock (the Ace hardware has most of what you could need) and Morton are just close enough if you forget something. We were able to hike from the property to Mossyrock park and let the kids play on the big toy (bring rain boots for the tall grass if it’s wet). Took a couple trips to Swofford Pond, Ike Kinswa State park and Mossyrock Dam for fishing with the kids. Ike Kinswa State park also had a fantastic hike that was very easy on even the smallest legs. Overall this was a fantastic site to use as a basecamp for the surrounding activities or perfect to just sit back and take in the view. The beautiful new shop that has been built on the property is on the pad setup for campers but it really didn’t take anything away from the experience for us. We chose to park our campers along one side of it so they opened up to the field view and it was never a distraction from the peacefulness of the site. The well water and electricity was a nice feature, especially since we had some cold and wet weather for most of our visit. We can’t wait to come back (already booked for the end of summer) and hopefully the sun will decide to show up the next time.

Neat private spot with great views. Nice gravel driveway and pad. We were surprised how close the new shop is as we didn’t see any pictures of it, but wasn’t an issue as no one was there. Location is great being so close to Swofford Pond, kids caught a bunch of fish trolling around the small lake. Only thing we couldn’t find was the water, so I would suggest bringing enough for your trip.

Private- Beautiful- Ideal location
Gilbert's property is private with beautiful and stunning views of the Mossyrock hillsides and unbeatable access to Mossyrock Park right on Riffe Lake. We camped with a 23ft trailer and truck camper with four dogs and had plenty of room to spread out with room for more. As the listing indicates, bring extra-long extension cords (100ft minimum) and a hose (100ft minimum). We will certainly be coming back!
Extra shout out to the host for providing a fire pit to allow us to enjoy some evening camp fires and smores.

Beautiful Land out in the Open
This is a beautiful, quiet site that more than accommodated our 38 foot RV. Our Waze map got us to the exact location though there is no signage for actual road the site is located on. We wandered down to the Riffe Lake park, which was a nice, easy walk. There was good cell service (Verizon), which is always a plus. Plenty of wildlife, deer, owls, bald eagles. For one site, this is well worth it whether you are camping alone or with a group. Thank you for sharing your property with us, we will return!

Great property! Owner was very accommodating! We had a issue with our camper that did not allow usxto transport it on last day of trip l. The owner was very gracious and let us keep the trailer on the property until we could remedy the problem. Stars for Days and a herd of elk just ran through one morning. Highly recommend!

We loved staying in this spot! Our camper van did great with the gravel road and the view was so nice. It’s a peaceful place with a park in walking distance and the perfect amount of any shop needs right in town. Our dogs loved the space and we loved the quiet privacy with hookups.

Perfect getaway!
We could not imagine a more beautiful or peaceful place to spend our long weekend away! This spot is just a few minutes walk from Riffe Lake and is so private! The views are gorgeous, too. We saw deer and enjoyed long walks around the property. The owner was very pleasant and helpful in all communications. We can’t wait to go back!
