Majestic Meadows is located on the back forested side of 10 acres. Each campsite is placed far enough apart to have privacy to enjoy the serenity of the camping experience. The property is filled with wild life. Mornings will be greeted with birdsong and our fields occasionally with elk, dear, and coyotes. Our property is a bird haven, so if you love watching birds we get regular sightings of Hawks, Eagles, Sparrows, Robins and little peaks of the adorable Humming birds. Our bunny population has no issues reproducing and filling all our bushes with their cute tails. If adventure is your desire, we are located perfectly!
Mt. Rainier scenic drive can be enjoyed from either 401 or a short drive to the southern entrance. Passing through Elbe where you can stop for a nice bite to eat on a train at the Mt. Rainier Railroad Dining Co. or visit a car show in the small quaint town of Eatonville. There's a plethora of things to do from hiking to kayaking, fishing, scenic drives, memorable dining, buying local organic fruit, visiting the Northwest Trek Wildlife Park and so much more. We truly love our property and it's location and we're excited to share it with you.

Please do not leave your trash in it. Pack it out with you. We maintain our property and clean the toilets once or twice a week. We are a one hundred year old family owned farm with an organic garden, Permaculture garden, an apiary, and Christmas trees on six acres. We have Horseshoes, Tether ball, Disk Golf, Corn Hole and a small library for you to enjoy. Early spring the frogs go crazy later followed by the sounds of nesting birds. Fall is the season for migrating birds that rest at the ponds next door. August is the time to fill up on blackberries. There are individual campsites with a barbecue and picnic table and a shared fire pit. The fire pit didn't see much use last two years because of the fire danger so we have moved it to an open area that will be safer and hopefully be open longer, there is also an area at each campsite if you want to bring a propane fire ring (or we will have some for rent). You can star gaze from the fields and the major constellations can be seen on a dark night. We are becoming increasingly suburban and there is some road noise that can be heard and even with farms on three sides of us, you still might hear our neighbors in the distance. Campsites one and four are across the road from each other and campsites two and three are adjacent to each other, perfect if you have another family traveling with you. The Washington State Fair is 3.9 miles/ 13 minutes away, Tacoma Dome 7.5 miles/ 18 minutes, Point Defiance Park Zoo and Aquarium 19 miles/ 30 minutes and Wild Waves water park is 15 miles/ 26 minutes away. There is a gallery of wild life photography taken on the farm displayed in the outhouse. Eagles, hawks and Ospreys are frequent visitors to our property.

A little about Orting - Nestled in the foothills of Mt Rainier between the Puyallup and Carbon Rivers, Orting is a quaint Turn-of-the-Century village that you will not forget.
The town center is anchored by three parks filled with giant maples and evergreens. You will be awed by the view of Mt. Rainier from Washington Avenue.
The levees on the east and west sides of town are perfect for hikes along the rivers. The 20 mile Foothills Trail meanders right through the middle of town and then takes you along the Carbon River levee. Bike, walk, take the stroller and the family pet. Enjoy the turn-of-the-century architecture of downtown and eat at one of the 15 restaurants.
If your timing is right you can take part in the Daffodil festival and parade the first Saturday of April. The Kingsmen Car show comes to town the third Saturday in June. Then there is the Pumpkin festival the second weekend of October. Finally the year is capped off with the Christmas festival throughout December. Then there are the many foot and bike races that take place on the foothills trail throughout the year.

Offering a lovely, personal campsite area surrounded by beautiful trees nestled at back of a ranch with horses (and chickens) on the outskirts of the small, charming town of Yelm. (In some of the pictures you will see horses in camp area, but are not turned out when campers are there.) There is 20 amp elec. (which can safely power a 30 amp rv unless you run too many things at once) and water/hose. There is a porta-potty and a shower shed with a tankless water heater for your convenience.
We also offer a small bunk room in the barn. Heated and cooled (fan) with a small "kitchen" area, it has a pull out futon which sleeps 2 and requires you supply your own bedding and towels.
Our Internet connection out here in the country sometimes has outages which we cannot control. IF having reliable internet access is important to you, we may not be your best choice.
1 Hour to Mt. Rainier Nat. Park. 1 1/2 hours to Olympia Nat. Park. 2 1/2 hours to Mt. St. Helens. 1 hour to Seattle. Close to Puget Sound and loads of nature spots. Local hiking and fishing aplenty. Our property is surrounded by nature, yet only a 5 minute drive into town where you will find charming shops, restaurants, cafes and coffee houses, a fabulous movie theater and only 15 minutes to Red Wind Casino.
There is a railroad track next to the property, only used on Tues. and Thurs. between 10 am and 1 pm. Rarely, it may have an additional passing but it has never run after dark or early morning.
(We are close enough to roads that you may hear some traffic. They are county roads and not highly traveled for the most part.)
**Trigger Warnings: We are near JBLM military base so you may occasionally hear military doings.
Country neighbors occasionally do target practice, so you may hear some shooting.

(Summer fires are not allowed.) Short walk to the beach to the north. Short walk south to the edge of the Oro Bay as well. Kayaks can be rented on island. (Not related to the host.) Multiple hikes / walks within Jacob's Point, Andy's Marine Park, and 7 other parks on island. One wonderful little grocery store on island for fresh or incidental items along with one cafe, and one restaurant. The historic Johnson Farm and Museum can be a great place to sample island life from 100+ years ago. Pay extra for use of the twin electric bikes to ride the many quiet, scenic roads around the island. These roads can take you to the hikes, the store, cafe, or sample the sights like the 1928 ferry "Ocean City" slowly sinking into the mud in Oro Bay. There is often deer, hawks, eagles, coyotes, bunnies, and sometimes humpback or orca whales, all within sight of the cabin. It's a great place to escape the hectic pace of the city and enjoy the solitude interrupted only by the sound of the birds, and perhaps the distant trains about 3 miles away. Writer looking for a spot to focus on your next book? Reader wanting to finish a good book? Both are a perfect fit. Dogs are welcome but cannot run free due to the native animals that call the area home. The ferry is a 1 hour walk so cars are recommended. The Steilacoom ferry to Anderson Island leaves from the wonderful historic town of Steilacoom which is also well worth visiting. There is no smoking of any kind in the cabin or on the property. Welcome to The Plank and Pillow on Pirate Cove, a quirky, pirate-themed lakeside cabin tucked along the quiet shores of Lake St. Clair, just outside Olympia, WA. Whether you’re a landlubber or seasoned adventurer, this offbeat hideaway is the perfect place to unplug and unwind.
Our cozy cabin sleeps up to 6 guests and includes:
• 1 main bedroom
• 1 bunk room (perfect for little pirates!)
• A hide-a-bed couch in the living area
You’ll have a fully equipped kitchen, an outdoor grill, ceiling fans, portable heaters, and a wood stove that is seasonally available. The cabin has grid electricity, running water, and a weekly serviced port-a-potty. There’s also a refreshing outdoor shower for rinsing off after lake swims or treasure hunts.
We’re proud to be a low-impact, no single-use plastic property. You’ll find reusable aluminum cups and a large supply of fresh drinking water to refill your personal bottles—because pirates protect their waters, too.
Enjoy direct lake access for kayaking, swimming, fishing, or stargazing from the dock. Bring your pup along—well behaved pets are welcome!

We really loved the camp site. Jeff stopped by, gave us suggestions on hiking. (We asked) . Seen a deer doe and baby walk through camp this morning. It was nice and quiet. Will stay again in the future. Great spot, close to hiking, town if you need to go to town. On creek/river.

Khohay and Jenel were so kind and the accommodations were fantastic. Hot shower, stocked kitchen (even a chasen, and tea kettle to heat to specific temps for my Hojicha!), beautiful setting. We were in the spot to the left of the blackberry spot and the trees were perfect for the hammock. He loved Khohay’s recommendation of Anchor House for a café.

Len & Kimberly were such friendly, gracious hosts! This was our first time in an RV, and they were incredibly welcoming and helpful! The animals were friendly, and the atmosphere was so peaceful! 11/10 recommend!

To Alder lake and a quick drive to Mt Rainier National Park! Sites were clean and spacious.
The beautiful creek running along the edge of the property was huge plus. We highly recommend this peaceful spot if adventuring into the central Washington forest.

The owner, Michelle was very responsive and communicative. Sheila the camp host was an absolute blessing recruiting help to move us to a different camping spot and help get our tent working that was giving me grief the property is beautiful. The horses were very gentle and sweet. My daughter loved feeding and brushing them. We came right next to a little creek walks down a trail to the river and floated on inner tubes. There were a lot of blackberry and raspberry bushes along the way, we felt safe, and the staff was very friendly.

James was an incredible host! Not only was the property beautiful but it had games to play. Corn hole, tether ball, frisbee golf and horseshoes. The little public library had a selection of books for adults and kids! My kiddos were quite happy about that. The campgrounds were clean; came with a picnic table and a grill. There was a ton of room after setting up our tent to play and eat, with trees to shade us. And an incredible bonus was the doggo Mango who welcomed us warmly! She sure loved her pets and followed James around the property. So cute. Thank you James for the wonderful stay at your farm!

We loved James’ Hipcamp. It was in a super ideal spot, extremely clean, close to all our needs (grocery store, gas station, quick access to the highway) but felt like you were camping in the woods. It was beautifully shaded, the bathroom facilities were clean and well appointed. The horseshoes, tether ball and disc golf were an added bonus, and very well loved by our kiddos. James was lovely, friendly and walked down to our camp to welcome us when we arrived, along with his sweet pup Mango. There is slight noise from the highway and airport, but nothing we all didn’t peacefully sleep through. We would 100% stay again!

Great location right off the Foothills Trail and only a 5 minute bike ride into downtown Orting. There are several small groves of trees that provide separation from other campers.

Jenel and Khohay are SO lovely! My partner and I really enjoyed our stay on their property. We stayed at the site behind the blackberry bushes, and it was perfectly secluded. We were visited by sheep and silly goats multiple times, which we loved (especially the small goat with the head tilt). Everyone there was so helpful with recommendations and the communal area was a HUGE plus. Highly recommend! ♥️

Beautiful property in a quiet, relaxing area. We awoke to the quiet bleating of the sweet little goats, beautiful sunrise, and fresh air. The spot was fairly level and the water, electricity, and septic hookups were close by and easy to access. We saw multiple deer and the goats are just precious. The owners came by to check on us and they are super nice. We loved staying here and look forward to staying again next year.
