**Immediate availability for long term RV tenant.** Monthly discount available. Property is a 5-acre gated horse farm surrounded by wooded military property on 3 sides. Conveniently located 10 mins from Tacoma, 20 mins from Olympia. Just 5 mins to Starbucks/coffee and grocery stores but far enough away from the city so it feels more secluded. My port-a-potty was destroyed in a storm so THERE IS NO BATHROOM AVAILABLE. American Lake and Spanaway Lake (and their parks with playgrounds) for swimming and paddle boarding are both just 5 mins away! The owner lives on site, as well as several horses, sheep, and a dog. Large stone fire pit with chairs near house is available for camper use. RV dry camping anywhere outside horse areas. For RVs needing dedicated electrical/water hookup, there are specific sites closer to the house. ***If you are travelling with more than one vehicle, please purchase an car extra parking spot.*** Only four 30amp RV spots are available and are most easily accessible for RVs under 30'. Standard 110volt outlets can also be available for RV use. Certain breed restrictions - no pit bulls, chows, or other potentially aggressive breeds allowed on property per my insurance. ***No RVs, campers or trailers older than 2015 model, or unsightly as per owners discretion. No vehicles, RVs, or trailers needing work or repairs.**** Woodbrook Hunt Club, the oldest fox hunting club west of the Mississippi, is a neighbor so lots of horseback riding goes on in the neighborhood. (Dragged scent only, no live foxes are harmed.) Private horseback riding lessons or guided trail rides available by reservation only, subject to weather and owner availability. Use of military trails adjacent to property for hiking and bike riding subject to open land usage and permitting by military base. Happy HipCamping! 😊

Dry RV parking in pastures or close to house on level grass or gravel with access to 110 volt electricity with your own extension cord and water. Please see other sites for 30amp electrical availability. Max 35’ RV preferred to allow maneuvering space. Property is a 5-acre horse ranch surrounded by military trails.  Just 2 miles from beautiful American Lake, I5 freeway, Spanaway golf, etc. 15-25 mins from downtown Tacoma and Olympia.  Conveniently located - (5 mins to Starbucks and grocery store) but far enough away from the city.  **Guests are considered those over 18 so 2-adult limit per reservation please.  Also, please limit children camping to your own children for liability and safety around horses... (Don't bring the entire classroom with just two adults to supervise!)** Horses available for guided trail rides at $80hr/person. Please book riding directly through me as I can’t guarantee availability if booked on website. Horses are usually booked a few weeks to a month out. Unfortunately, I am not always available to accommodate last minute trail rides, but feel free to inquire! Children inexperienced with riding will be required to have a horse riding lesson in the pasture instead of out on the trail for safety purposes. 200lb weight limit. I can only accommodate 2 riders at a time for safety but additional people are welcome to come on foot or bikes.    WiFi is available close to the house (working on exterior extenders) but not far out in horse pastures. Site 4 is adjacent to a blue garden shed, convenient water and 30amp electrical hook up are directly on west side of shed. Horse pasture views to the back. Can pull in parallel to fence line and back up to shed if trailer is shorter (25' or less). Come through main gate off road and keep driving past garage to park near shed behind house.

Site 1 is closest to the road as it's adjacent/in front of my garage, but it's the most private away from any potential foot traffic to the horse pastures/barn, other campers, etc. Slighty sloped gras and gravel parking area with view of pasture off to east, and my front yard (which I don't use) off to other side. Area in front of pink/purple rhodys to left of garage in picture. Can be challenging to back into for longer trailers so preferably under 25' only. 30amp hookup directly on side of house.

Easy pull-up along horse pasture #2
Choose this site for spring shakeout. Loved being able to spread out and relax while petting the mules and horses. Easy access and plenty of space.

We have never used Hipcamp before so I do not have anything to compare it with but here goes - if you are a light sleeper ( like me) I do not recommend you stay here because of the VERY busy road right in front of the farm. Also, never saw/talked with owner and parking spots were not marked at all, so since we came back after dark the second night it was very hard to tell what areas were open and/or available for public parking.

Easy access chill spot. Not a lot to choose from so we were happy to find. Pretty much exactly what the review say and also the description. We were in town for a wedding and it served the purpose. The access gate is really tight and kind of at a weird angle. I pull trailer a lot so I’m quite confident, but that gate is a bit tricky

Safe and simple, but there was some confusion between the guests on which 1 of the 6 spots we each reserved on the app. Maybe it's purposeful but I wished each was numbered.

The place is a good fit if you just need a place to park and maybe some hookups and you don’t need a warm fuzzy feeling from the host. I reserved a “site” for my campervan. There were three campers, their associated vehicles, and a car camper or two during my stay. There was less space and privacy than I expected but it met my needs. Communication beyond the canned intro message was very minimal but direct. The portapotty wasn’t bad. It was stocked with TP and hand sanitizer and seemed clean. The livestock was cool to see and mostly kept to themselves. It was easy to come and go as I pleased using the gate code. If you reserve a site without dedicated electric, watch for the dirt. There’s a patch of very very fine dirt that will coat and cling to everything! It was a bit of a hassle that I easily avoided the rest of my stay by pulling up to the grass. I recommend this stay if you are truly low maintenance and don’t need much interaction from your host.

The setting is amazing and having horses and sheep around was a peaceful experience overall. The campsite itself could have been raked and cleaned a bit more to eliminate the horse manure and pine cones. Also there were tools left on the picnic table so we weren’t able to use that for breakfast. Overall an awesome surrounding that needs some fine tuning for an even better stay.

What a nice place! The location was ideal and the property was perfect for a stay. It was very peaceful and although close to things felt very remote. I would definitely stay here again if my travel brings me this way.

Great escape from the hustle life

The simple set up was perfect for first time trial run camping with a new set up with young ones. Bethanne was very accommodating and communicative with all questions someone may have. We appreciate your patience with everything, we asked about a quick horse ride for my 7 and 10 yr old and she had beyond the patience I have with my own. Highly recommend it if your trying to escape from the city yet close enough to amenities.

I made a last minute request and to my surprise, not only did Bethanne reply right away she was able to get us a spot very next day. The campsite was close to town but far enough to feel like you are in nature with her animals. It was perfect for my bf and I, and was peaceful and beautiful too. I would recommend tent camping with lots of options on where to camp. Thanks Bethanne for sharing your beautiful property for other people to enjoy. She has horses and they were sweet and well behaved. We enjoyed our time and may be back again!

Overall it was a good stay for one night. The description where to park wasn’t too clear, which annoyed a permanent camper when several people asked about arrangements and facilities, but when Bettane arrived things could be sorted out. The place is nice and quiet.

Initially, parking for our campervan was a little confusing. But, a call to Bethanne straightened things out. During the day there's quite a bit of nearby road noise, but that seemed to lessen by the evening. Overall, it was a very peaceful experience.

Bethanne is very responsive, and we really enjoyed her sharing her horse farm with us! Such a peaceful place to be and so close to everything, we definitely would recommend this property to anyone who enjoys a peaceful night on a farm that is close to the city. Not to mention being secured behind a gated entrance is second to none. This will go into my favorites folder for sure!!

We made the best of things but I wouldn’t t stay again. It’s on a very busy road which doesn’t really quite down ever. The property is next to military land so the trails were not available as we had hoped. So with nothing to do we went to a nearby farm and enjoyed the day. Just not what I a looking for in a weekend away.

Bethanne’s spot is perfect! It was close to town and Mt Rainer. On top of that you get to see the amazing horses and chickens roaming the grounds. But my fave is Ryder her dog. He was a great host he checked on me every morning ❤️. Bethanne was also super nice! We will be back when we return next year.

This was a great spot to park our trailer while visiting with family and attending events in Tacoma. The location was great as it was close to i5, and safe. Horses were friendly too! We will be back!
