Lovely stay right on the water with easy beach access! Responsive host helped make our weekend trip a success. Chairs, picnic table and firewood were a great bonus. This is a rural beach community, so you do hear neighbors, but all were super friendly and even shared local tips on things to do. Would stay again.

This place was absolute magic. We moved strolling the very private beach, yoga and fire pit with a view! We met the neighbors, they were really kind. We can not wait to return to this lil hidden gem!

Great getaway for our first overnight with our very first trailer! View was wonderful even under gray skies, water was calm, active marine life, easy access to the beach for a nice walk and easy to find location! Stopped at the bakery by the lake on the way out for pastries.

Our stay was exactly what we needed. Quiet, private location with beach access. The water and power hook ups made the stay a breeze. At low tide, we recommend the beach walk down to Fudge Point. We wished we would have brought our kayaks but there is always next time!

Beautiful spot up on the water. Peaceful and quiet without a lot of boat traffic so great for kayaking and paddle boarding. Nice fire pit overlooking the water. Beach/water access is a sloped gravel path and stairs. Not too bad but just something to be aware of. Would definitely stay here again!

This was probably one of our FAVORITE properties we stayed in on our 2 week road trip. The view is AMAZING! We brought out paddle boards and it was so much fun. I highly recommend booking this Hipcamp!

Wonderful and beautiful property. We enjoyed walking along the shore at low tide and sitting next to the tranquil bay while watching the moon rise. There’s also a great fire pit with grand views as well. Other than hearing some voices from a neighbor’s property, it’s so peaceful and relaxing.

We had the most relaxing weekend at Eric’s little slice of Heaven on Harstine Island. His instructions were clear and easy to follow. We have a 24 ft travel trailer and I would recommend backing in from the street for the best approach. We spent most of our time down by the fire pit enjoying the spectacular views, wildlife, and quiet. We are already talking about when we can visit again!

Eric’s property is gorgeous! We had a great time staying there. The beach was fantastic. The tide was really impressive and we saw a pod of Orca- they probably can’t guarantee that for each guest. We would stay there again in a minute

Wow. We absolutely loved our camping stay at Eric’s slice of heaven. We are a family of 4 (kids age 4 and 8) and typically do dispersed camping (no water no electricity). We were looking for an easy spot not too far from our home that could allow up to “plug in” and at the same time “unplug” from screens and normal daily distractions. Eric’s place could not have been more perfect. Important to note that while we were camping on Eric’s property, no one else was there the entire time (that wasn’t super clear from the listing to us, so I thought I’d point that out). Directions were clear and the neighbors friendly. We brought a kayak and our power bike and spent the weekend exploring the tides, kayaking, and meandering the roads of idyllic Harstine Island.

Great place! Spacious, private and peaceful -- in an entirely different league than campground camping. Gorgeous views from the fire pit area, even better down below by the water. The water was amazingly clear and even though the air temperature was only in the mid-70s, we had great fun swimming. We also brought along our own paddle board and kayak, and enjoyed venturing out.
The electrical hookup was such a luxury that, as tent campers, we are not used to. We also enjoyed camping on the grass instead of the dirt that we are so used to at campgrounds or when backpacking into the wilderness. We had good cellphone coverage through AT&T, enough to power our hotspot.
The neighbor's dog did try to roam onto the property twice, but it really was not a problem. It's very elderly and breathes so loudly that we could hear it coming long before we saw it. I've rarely seen such an obedient dog -- it immediately turned around and left when we told it to.
We camped here in mid-August, and as a bonus enjoyed some sun-ripened blackberries on the property. Another pleasant surprise -- we encountered no mosquitoes.
As you can probably guess, we hope to book a stay next summer, too. Thank you, Eric, for renting out your property!

Great location! And peaceful describes it. At first we weren't sure if someone would be in the house that is on the property, because it is close to campsite, but it was empty, so we had total privacy. If you have a trailer, we learned it was MUCH easier to back in from the main road. Hard to turn around if you pull straight in.

The title says it best: Peaceful! We really enjoyed our night stay. The property has a beautiful view and we loved being able to explore around the beach area by foot! We deeply enjoyed our drive there too as it was an area we had never been to before. The place was easy to find and although we had spotty signal leading up to it, were able to stay connected once we arrived (T-Mobile). We brought a tent and were so pleased with how calm and quiet it was at night. The water hookups came in handy and access to the beach area was just magical.

What a beautiful spot!! My husband and I keep comparing everything to Harstine Island now. Communication and directions were great. Having water and power was awesome. We were alone there and the space felt quiet and secluded while not too far (15 min) from town. Our FrontWD Highlander struggled a bit on the gravel drive so we backed our 20’ trailer under the large tree at the far corner of the lot to give plenty of room to gain momentum for the pull out. The driveway is not very steep, I just share that for others with less powerful rigs. Turning on water was an adventure - climb up through the ferns to find it. We loved kayaking the mellow inlet north and south and caught a glimpse of dolphins one day. Sunsets were stellar, nice view of Mt Ranier a bonus. Olympic Bakery was a treat (pastries & WiFi!). We’d love to stay at Eric’s again (and are already scoping out property for sale nearby LOL).

Great spot. View was excellent, particularly if you walk down to the lower firepit or beach. Our 2 and 5year old kids loved the beach when it was low tide. Host was very quick to respond to questions and super accommodating. Site was clean, quiet, and private. Host provided a helpful guide to the island, including information on the farmers market, dining, state parks, and the wild cats refuge. Guide also included helpful site information, like instructions on how to turn the water on. Would stay again.

We headed over to the “wet side” from south eastern Washington to escape the multiple days of triple-digit heat and this campsite fit the bill to a “T”! The campsite was well-maintained and offered a cute table with benches, a fire pit (no fires this time due to extremely dry and hot weather), and two comfortable Adirondack chairs. The pad is nice and level and we were very comfortable setting up our camper. It was very, very quiet.
It was our first time visiting the island, so we spent our first day exploring on our e-bikes, we saw very little traffic and miles of unspoiled nature, a deer and heard lovely birdsong. In the evening we sat lakeside and glimpsed a heron and several waterfowl, some boats and fish jumping in the water.
Our second day we rode to the state park and had a picnic lunch, viewed the beautiful marina then headed over to the wild cat refuge. We took a guided tour and viewed the beautiful cats they keep there, they do such wonderful work protecting the animals.
The only challenges we faced were finding a place to empty our waste tank and to dispose of our trash. We ended up in Olympia to dump and drove on. This was our first time camping in this area, so we will have to better educate ourselves on what services are available next time.
Harstine island is truly an oasis, much of the shoreline seems to be privately owned so it was nice to have access to a small area we could legally occupy. If you are traveling with children, though, be sure to bring plenty to entertain them as there isn’t much by way of playgrounds, other families, etc. like you may find at a big campground.

The site it's self was pretty private, easy to find, and relatively flat. The beach and camp fire area were beautiful.
