This spot is perfectly located two blocks from the Straits of Juan de Fuca, where bird watching, fishing, boating, swimming and sunsets are the norm. There are hiking trails and dairy and u-pick farms all around. It is located about 10 minutes to stores and Starbucks. Amenities are water, sewer and electricity. Olympic game farm is only a few minutes away. We have put 50, 30 and 20 amp plugs for electricity (220v, and 110v)
We have put in a fire pit and we have wood for additional cost. This is open unless there s a fire ban.

18 acres of the property is agricultural land that is open space. The owners have a small garden and some fruit trees that are for owner's use only, but you are happy to walk around and tour the garden. Approximately 5 acres of the property is mowed for recreational use.
There is a dock for fishing, paddle boarding, kayaking or boating. The lake is open to boats, but no jet skis are allowed. You can bring your own water toys and play on the lake all day. There is open space for camping but no running water. The property has a firepit and porta potty for campers use.
You will likely see wildlife like eagles (nest nearby), deer, geese, ducks, birds and of course clear, starry night, skies.
*This is a working farm so while often you will have the property to yourself and other campers the owners may be present, occasionally, to work on farm projects and property maintenance in the periphery. We will always be respectful or your space and keep our projects to reasonable hours.

Large open meadow with nice views. We camped here in mid winter so meadow and a few of the sites were pretty wet but there were enough dry ones to choose from. Owner was very responsive. Good value!

What a lovely horsecamp! Beautiful setting with peek a boo views of Mt Baker and Straits of San Juan. Hosts Bill and Anna were so friendly and easy to work with. We rode horses and really appreciated the map showing all the great trails. I would highly recommend and would love to go back!

My husband and I enjoyed staying at Greenstone Farms. The farm and the view are quite beautiful. We had fresh eggs for breakfast which was lovely. The horses visited us before headed home.
The restroom was very clean and nice and had a heater which was nice since it was raining the night we showed up. We would have stayed longer but my husband wanted his recliner for the Mariners playoff game. I didn’t foresee that obstacle.

This was my first time camping with horses and the way this camp was set up made everything so easy! Excellent horse camp with lots of trail obstacles to play with and a decent sized arena. I especially liked that the arena had corrals, too. Trail does have atv/dirt bikes but everyone I met was very good about slowing down around the animals. Good spot to car camp even if you don’t have horses. Looking forward to coming back when the fire ban is repealed so I can sit at that great fire ring with my pals.

Our group really enjoyed camping at this beautiful lakefront site. It was lovely to wake up to a view of the water and surrounding hills. We had fun paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake. We appreciated having the space all to ourselves. Picking some of the most delicious blackberries on site was a bonus! The only downsides to the site were a porta potty that needed servicing and some frequent noise from a power washer and other equipment being used by the host.

Tips for snagging a campsite
- You can reserve all of the park’s 172 tent sites, 134 partial-hookup sites, and five hiker/biker sites online.
- Deception Pass is a popular state park. Reservations should be made in advance, especially for summer weekends. All campsites can be reserved online, up to nine months in advance of the arrival date.
- The Ben Ure Cabin on Ben Ure Island is accessible only by kayak or rowboat, and guests must bring their own water.
When to go
Deception Pass State Park is open year-round. In the Coastal Northwest’s relatively mild climate, there’s never a bad time to visit. Summers, especially on weekends and holidays, are very busy here. But come in the shoulder season—in the spring or early summer, before July 4—or early fall, after Memorial Day, and you’re more likely to find seclusion. Weekdays are generally a better bet, too.
Know before you go
- You can rent kayaks and stand-up paddleboards at the Bowman Bay concession stand from April through September.
- Visitors will need to display a day-use or annual Discover Pass. The park has automated pay stations dispensing both, along with boat launch permits.
- The park has 1.2 miles of ADA hiking trails, in addition to three miles of bike trails, six miles of horse trails, and 38 miles of hiking trails.
