Take a break from the city and connect with nature by staying at our magical farm property located on the very south end of Whidbey Island, WA (12 minutes from the Clinton ferry dock). You can enjoy such activities as swinging in one of the many hammocks, getting goldfish pedicures, feeding some of the sweet animals, talking with the parrot, doing goat yoga, picking fresh fruits and vegetables for dinner you can prepare in our outdoor cabana kitchen, eating s'mores at one of the many firepits, visiting the beautiful flower gardens or simply enjoying the peace and quiet.
Wildlife galore including bald and golden eagles, red tail hawks, deer, raccoons, heron and coyotes.
Some nights, we have live music in the evening by one of South Whidbey's amazing bands and beer flowing from the taps built into the wall of the cabana.
It is just me and an occasional worker operating the property so you may see us weeding, feeding farm animals or watering some of the many gardens. You are encouraged to participate in activities on the farm and children are welcome to do the same.
We are 5 minutes from Bailey's Corner Store, Whidbey's best burger joint, which has great music various nights of the week, and Ogres Brewery which also has great entertainment and beer. Langley and Freeland are each 20 minutes away.

Around the hill and below in the "wild meadow" we've cleared out a vehicle trail to a secluded spot for camping. Though we raise chickens, goats, a cow and a pig nearby, you would never know it from your camp site.
Our property is far enough from the city to feel remote and surrounded by wildlife, yet we are a 15 minute bicycle ride from the beach and the town of Langley and all the benefits that civilization has to offer. Beachcombing, wine tasting, concerts, hiking, fishing, crabbing, kayaking, swimming, and dining, just to name a few.
• Dogs are welcome, but not allowed to roam freely. Please leash while exploring and please pick up after them.

We are located on South Whidbey Island, in a thickly forested area. You will be surrounded by tall fir trees and salal bushes, waking up to the birds' morning song. Just two miles from the Seaside Village of Langley, you are minutes from some of the best coffee and morning treats or a breezy rooftop dinner overlooking the Salish Sea.
We live on our property, and have kids, dogs and chickens. You may hear us working, animals making animal sounds, and the kids riding their bikes up and down the driveway. You are also welcome to wander and check out the trails. Our home is a short walk up the driveway from the camp site, and you can partially see it from your parking spot. We live in a small neighborhood of 5 acre parcels, the neighbors are quiet but their vehicles are visible through the trees when they drive past.
Whidbey Island is rural and therefore has spotty cell service. Some campers have said that their carrier does not get good cell service at our campsite, so be aware of that please. If needed, you can walk up to our yard where the sky is a little clearer to make a phone call or send a text.
Please only park vehicles and campers in the gravel parking area.
You are welcome to unplug the string of lights for a darker nighttime experience.

The *Purple Cottage* -- was found & salvaged (recycled!)-- moved onto the back of my property in 2012. This 16 X 12' place has been my studio in the past, but has offered overflow for friends & ; family. Nestled in the woods and ever-so-private, the cottage has a pull-out double futon, plus a small sleeping loft and can accommodate 1 -2 nicely (we will consider 3 if you have a small child, but it would be a tight fit!... There is a very small sleeping loft in the cottage.). There is a “en suite kitchen in the cottage that has a small fridge, microwave, and two burner stovetop cooking unit.
The cottage offers privacy in a wooded garden setting. The bathhouse, with hot shower, vanity and; toilet --are all steps away (and covered) from the main cabin.
The Purple Cottage sits on a shy wooded acre, with greenbelt buffers all around, maximizing the sense of privacy. our vintage Shasta Trailer across the driveway of the Purple Cottage is currently used as a music studio (and rarely as family/guest overflow), and I have my own small Artist Studio located also on the back of the property. Even with all the little enclave of buildings, The Purple Cottage retains a private feel all to itself, with reliable Wi-Fi available at the cottage. . It is located in a quiet little neighborhood, about 6 miles from Langley & 6 miles from Freeland.. Private beach access is across the road and a 15 minute walk up the street, where you can beach comb & explore the shoreline out at our little point. The private deck off the side of the Purple Cottage offers views of the gardens & flora, and has a little gas barbecue. There is also a delightful hot tub on the deck, which is a wonderful feature. We are located 6 miles from the picturesque town of Langley and equal distance from Freeland, on the south end of Whidbey. Our area is very *bike-able* and either direction will get you to town!

Lawnacres is a 20 acre farm that focuses on enhancing wellbeing through the presence of horses and nature. The Bunky itself is a converted horse stall in one of the barns on the property.
The glamping space is approximately 10x12, with a queen size log bed and wide rustic cedar plank flooring. The “stall” to the north houses an outdoor shower and sauna. It’s about a 30 foot walk to the outhouse.
The stalls to the south are usually used by horses during the day, but they sleep in a different barn at night.
Guests are free to amble about the acreage, which has a stream, a wooded path and some wide open meadow.

Amazing and unique! Alison was so warm, thoughtful and helpful in all ways. What a wonderful place, with horses, donkeys, wild deer, bunnies barn swallows and more. That’s not even mentioning the lovely sauna and outdoor shower. If you like one of a kind stays with sweet animals and some stand out amenities this is your kinda place.

Dont know where to start on how amazing my stay on Alison’s property was! She was very quick with responding and helped me quickly with adjusting my accommodation, when I arrived she made everything clear on where everything around the property was. Enjoyed the quietness and trots of the horses around the barn was a spectacular experience. Sauna was amazing and coming back late from a night hike, showering under the starts was magical. 100% enjoyed every bit of Alison’s barn and definitely recommend and will be visiting again :))

Such a cool place to stay and experience! Loved the stained glass and twinkle lights. Super cozy with the woodstove and seating area around it. It is close to the home but saw that in the reviews and wasn't bothered by it at all. Didn't get to check out the trail but it looked super cool

Weekend Trip to Simple Roots Ranch
We had a lovely time at Sharon and Dave’s potting shed. We got to walk the lovely walking trails, the cooking area had everything we could need, they provided a hammock for lounging and corn-hole, as well as some outdoor swings. The cabin was clean and perfectly spaced for 2-3 people. Would highly recommend and definitely come again!

The spot was beautiful and super private we were the only ones this weekend and the hosts are so incredibly kind and gracious. They left hammocks for us were accommodating about the bathroom and wood since it got cold since its still early in the season. The instructions made it super easy to get to the site and its not a long or bad walk to the bathroom and everything. I would agree that if you go on the grass road just go slow and be careful but they laid rocks for us as well to make it easier. If youre thinking about booking this place this is your sign to go ahead and book it!! Me and my friends will be coming back and I will be recommending this spot to people for the summer when wanting to sight see in whidbey! Its not too far from oak harbor or the ferry to get back to main land and seattle.

The site is nestled among other homes but we hardly saw anyone and definitely didn’t hear anyone. We had 3 dogs with us and it was nice to not have other dogs barking and agitating them. We were able to relax and enjoy the view. The site was well kept and clean. We really enjoyed our stay.
