This is a 160 square foot tiny house/cabin in a small wooded area at the rear of my 2 acre property. A separate 90 square foot bath house is also provided. Both are primitive, ie, no electric or running water. The are some solar lights and candles for nighttime. Enjoy laying in the hammocks with a nice camp fire in the evening. The house is heated with a small wood stove but there is no air conditioning. Cook either on the wood stove or over the fire outside. In the summertime it is nice and private with the surrounding vegetation
Please keep in mind. This is a primitive setting in the woods. It will be hot in the summer and temperature must be maintained in the winter with the wood stove or Buddy Heater.
While I do spray for bugs to the best of my ability, there is a good chance you will encounter at least a few.
We are in a residential country setting, so you may experience other wildlife as well.
In the summertime while the foliage is up it is quite private, although you can still hear the neighbors. In the winter you will be able to see the neighbors as the trees are bare.

Adorable little cabin with all the comforts you could imagine without electricity! Solar lights and electric candles, propane heat as well as an awesome little wood stove.
We had a great time sitting around the fire outside. We also visited the Black-Coffey Cavern and had dinner at Gems in town.

We absolutely loved camping on Ralph's farm. The eggs and honey was delicious. He has horses, cows, sheep and a very friendly donkey. We were able to fish on the property and they had cut wood available for purchase which was very convenient. Ralph was very accommodating. There is a bathroom with a shower, a place to wash dishes, each campsite had a fire pit and plenty to explore. Definitely a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. I definitely want to come back in the future! Thanks to Ralph for a wonderful experience

We loved staying at the cabin. It was comfortable and fun, and we loved meeting the animals. The view and scenery was beautiful and relaxing. Making a fire and cooking on the fire was so fun, & I loved the conveniences of the stove and microwave when we needed it. The cabin was very well equipped too!

Staying at Carp Cove was an incredible experience that I will remember for the rest of my life. Even if I go back one day, which I plan to do, I know it will never be the same as my first time. Ralph is a lovely and gracious host who very obviously gives meticulous attention to ensuring that his property and sites are all in pristine condition. He graciously worked around my arrival time as as to ensure that he could meet me so that he could show me where to camp.
The sites are all next to the river and each is well kept and free of any trash or rubbish. Totally pristine.
There is also a full bathroom with a hot shower which I greatly appreciated each morning.
Walking around Ralph's property, I was moved to tears more than once, marveling at the natural beauty of the farm and surrounding West Virginia wilderness. I camped for 6 nights and I'll remember it forever.
10/10 hands down. Absolutely wonderful.

Ralph's cabin was absolutely amazing! You are definitely out in the country as it is about 10 minutes from the main road. The cabin was fully functional for at least 6 people but was also perfect for just the two of us. With amenities galore and the river just a few feet away, this was the perfect getaway. We definitely recommend and hope to return. Thank you Ralph.

Such a sweet little getaway! It’s clear time and care have been put into this cabin. It feels like a little private oasis even though you’re not that far from others. The bed is nice and firm and comfy. Chris was great and made sure I knew where I was going even though I got in late. The drive in is a little bumpy so if you have a low riding car you may want to park and walk in but I drove in no problem. I definitely recommend staying here!
