We spent two nights at #3. It is very well situated in regards to the trail and house. We forgot a pot for coffee and were able to borrow from the house, which we are grateful for. We went 5 min down the road into Bluemont for a visit to the general store and community playground. Great woods, wonderful campfire, kids (6 & 8) had a blast!

These sites are located at the Bear's Den Center along the AT in Virginia. Super cool location, and you can walk to a large brewery/restaurant within 15 minutes. I'd definitely camp here again. Fair warning: while the tent sites are quite large, they are all arranged in a circle. If any of the sites are rambunctious, you will hear it. Didn't bother, but don't come here expecting to be alone.

Weekend Trip to Taylors Landing Camping Club

Greg was very friendly and made the whole experience awesome. He shared fun stories and helped us out when we needed a blowtorch for our stove, and even let us stay at a site that we didn't book which has an amazing view of the night sky. The place and bathrooms were clean, and the sites were stocked with firewood. One of the best aspects of the trip were his friendly huskies and cats which made it feel even more welcoming. The area is right by the C&O Canal Trail, and there’s a cool cave nearby that’s worth checking out. Overall, 11/10 camping spot with a great host and great vibes, highly recommend.

We enjoyed our walks along the C&O, was really beautiful this time of year. And the cave was fun to check out. Greg was great to work with. We stayed on site one. Had water and electric. It was on a hill where we could look out and see beauty in all directions. It was so quiet, without environmental noise, that it took us a little bit of time to adjust to not being overwhelmed from the outside world. Great place to lay back, take walks, and enjoy the land, the animals, along with the stars at night. Curtis was pleasant as a host. He stopped by but wasn’t too intrusive. Thanks!

Weekend Trip to Narrow Gate Farm

Jim was friendly and welcoming. Campsite had fresh water, fire pits, and flat ground. Would’ve been great for stargazing but it was cloudy during our stay. Perfect for a quick and easy get away in the outdoors.

This site is named after the wooden table it has bear claw marks on it from one of our local black bears who visit occasionally.

So incredible to have so much room to ourselves. The dogs had the time of their lives running around exploring. Really lovely spot, super clean bathroom, beautiful foggy morning farm views.

Greg was amazing! He was accommodating to us in everything we could ever ask for and more. Love the site and how open it all is. Perfect for a family or friend trip. Water was nearby for fishing (if you’re lucky haha) and an amazing trail that has alot to see. Cant recommend Greg and this camp site enough! Thanks again
