3 nights at Riverside Campground at Seneca

Intimate little setting. I ended up having to camp by myself, however, David kept me informed on the wildlife (resident bear) and that my visitors would most likely be 4 legged friendly dogs. They were good company. I was glad to hike and wade around with them.im definitely going to re- visit!

Weekend Trip to Magical Riverside Yurt w/hot tub

JoDee's Yurt was extremely relaxing. There are plenty of activities to do in and around the area and nearby Floyd has good food and shops. There was fishing gear and kindling that we didn't use but thought was a great addition to have. The bed was more comfortable than we had anticipated which was a good surprise.

Glamping on Beau’s land was magical! My mom and I enjoyed the peaceful nature and sounds of the falls. Beau was very accommodating and responsive, and the cabin/communal space had everything we needed. Highly recommend staying here!

The descriptions don’t do it justice. The property is gorgeous and we feel very lucky Beau and family have chosen to share this gem with the public. We stayed at Top of the Rocks cabin and the views were epic! Going to bed and waking up to the sound of the waterfall was beautiful as well. Totally worth the trip.

Great camping experience with cover from the rain! We camped for 2 nights and booked this site because of the pretty much constant rain. We had an amazing time and the cabin was perfect. Would definitely come back again sometime.

2 nights at Blue Bird with Heat/AC!!

It's a beautiful piece of land that was perfectly calm and quiet for my mini retreat (2 days). There was an odd cold front that moved through and Scott had a small heater already in the bus when I arrived. That plus the 3 blankets kept me cozy. I was glad to have brought bedroom slippers! Scott provided 4 small bottles of water for drinking (+5 gallons for washing) but I was happy I'd brought a gallon of drinking water because I drank it all!

Weekend Trip to Wilderness Adventure

Cabin camping at this little slice of heaven was everything I was looking for. Everyone working there and staying there were all kind and down to earth. They are pet friendly, reasonably priced, and just good people... What more could you ask for? The property is huge with lots of options for adventure (kayaking, tubing, and canoeing) as well as some hiking paths. The pups and I will most certainly be back!

The busy was super cute and comfy. I really appreciated having a toilet, ac, and heater. The cat never came to visit, but it was fun watching the chickens and wildlife. We'll definitely be back.

1 night at Marshall Creek Farm

This cabin is adorable! Super secluded and great location for anyone looking for an off grid stay. We hiked pilot mountain which is only 20 min away and a beautiful hike. And it’s dog friendly! We will definitely be back.

1 night at Green Acres Resort

We really enjoyed our stay here! We only planned to stay here one night in the Daisy camper, but when our other camping site fell through, we wound up coming a day early and setting up in the tent site. Bruce was super welcoming and took the time to show us all of our options for camping out. The tent site was flat, comfortable, and close to the bathhouse. We loved falling asleep to the sound of frogs and crickets. :) lots of cool birds here, too! We spent the second night in the Daisy camper which was super cute and cozy. The location of Green Acres is also really nice. It’s a quick walk to downtown Floyd, and about a 35 minute drive to Fairy Stone State Park. Overall, highly recommend staying here!

I spent several nights camping at the Sweet Springs site with my toddler and dog, and it was nothing short of magical. The tent was absolutely pristine—clean, spacious, and thoughtfully set up—making it feel like a luxury experience in the heart of nature. The campsite came equipped with everything we needed to prepare meals with ease, and the on-site trailer was a total lifesaver for backup essentials like ice and firewood. The land itself is breathtaking. We were surrounded by the raw beauty of waterfalls, open fields, and lush forest. From our site, the views were stunning—especially in the afternoon when the sunlight poured in, making everything feel even more peaceful and vibrant. It’s rare to find a place that feels this untouched yet so well cared for. Beau, our host, was incredible—warm, attentive, and clearly passionate about his beautiful land and surrounding area. He checked in just the right amount, making sure we had enough propane for the chilly nights, while still respecting our space and privacy. Leah and the rest of the support team were equally kind and welcoming. The trails on the property were well maintained and offered a perfect balance of adventure and serenity. We loved exploring and never ran out of places to wander. This was, hands down, the best vacation we’ve had. Beaverdam Falls offers the perfect mix of comfort, nature, and hospitality. We’ll definitely be back—and soon.

2 nights at Why B Square mountain yurt rentals

We had a great time in the yurt for two nights. The yurt was cute and quirky and the location was beautiful and quiet. We had a small problem with the heat the first night but Erika was quick to fix it! The yurt has all the utensils you need for cooking and way more ingredients than you usually find in a rental like this. The ultra local eggs in the fridge were a nice touch and we enjoyed eating them for breakfast. Even our 9 month old approved. We also had a great day doing several of the activities that Erika recommended

Excellent place! It was really a perfect spot. The cabin is simply adorable. We spent two days hiking at hanging rock and slept the night at the cabin. Everything was perfect-the cabin, the bed, the fire pit, the shower, the port-a potty. Easy to find, excellent directions and easy to access the cabin with code.

DIRECTIONS: Upon entry the gravel road is shared with my neighbor and it is about 1.5 miles from the entry gate to the site. You'll enter thru a gate (it may be closed, if closed please close behind you as my neighbor sometimes has cows). Go approx 1 mile the road will split...go up the hill on the right. Continue past the Hay barn another half mile. Park on the left side of the gravel road along the tree line. Another 50ft you'll see a wood foot bridge across the creek. The sites are ahead, PawPaw is first, then Bloodroot Base Camp (bell tent), and lastly Cohosh Cove is the most private. Each site has a sign as well When driving, please be respectful of the right of way. Drive slowly and respect the farm equipment. Also please do not venture onto the neighbor’s property other than entry and exit. About the property 20 minutes from Blacksburg and 35 minutes from Roanoke, our campground gives you great access to the “Triple Crown” of the Appalachian trail, consisting of McAfee Knob, Tinker Cliffs, and Dragon’s Tooth. Conquer these iconic peaks of Virginia’s Blue Ridge Mountains for spectacular views of the surrounding wilderness. Additionally, explore Falls Ridge Nature preserve, Cascades waterfall, and Carvin’s Cove for hiking, kayaking and mountain biking. Or just stay on the campground and enjoy the hiking and swimming we offer here. Nearby in Blacksburg take advantage of the local breweries or Virginia Tech football home games. The property is over 100 acres in Greenbrier county WV. There is a lot of history in this area. There are tons of wildlife on the property as well. We have awesome trails with GREAT Views for hiking or horse back riding should you decide to bring your own equine. Pets are allowed with prior notice (not to be left unattended in the cabins). We have a private dog park that you will have access to on the property. We also offer doggie daycare & boarding here at the farm (prior proof of vaccine is required) should you need our services. We also house horses/ponies/ goats/sheep/geese/ducks & chickens here on the farm. We are located 4 miles from downtown Lewisburg which has wonderful stores, antique shops and restaurants. Some of the attractions in town include Toot (taste of our town) , The Chocolate festival, WV State Fair, Carnegie Hall not to mention The Greenbrier Resort which is only 15 mins away. Also in the area is the Greenbrier River Trail 77 miles long for hiking, biking and horseback riding. Greenbrier State Forrest , Beartown State Park, Droop Mountain Battlefield State Park, Cranberry Glades Botanical Area, Scenic highway, Lost World Caverns & Pomona Salt Cave and Spa. Close by is Hawk Knob Hard Cider & Mead, Smooth Ambler Distillery and Greenbrier Valley Brewing company etc. To many things to list this is just a few.
