Absolutely lovely! This family is the definition of hospitality! They go out of their way to make your stay special. I realized we did not have enough firewood, and this sweet family hand delivered some logs to our campsite! Gorgeous and peaceful property. The camp sites are spread out, even though other campers were there, we felt like we had the place to ourselves. My kids asked if we could come back every year, now we have a new family tradition! Some very special lifelong family memories were made during our stay!

This is my first time camping (site 6) and this place absolutely has made me want to do camping much more frequently. This site provided a blend of cozying up in the wood but still has a nice and open area. The view and nature are beautiful but still has the convenience of the restroom of your home. The lake was nice to do some rowing despite the hot days of Texas.

Weekend Trip to Outpost 203 - Camp & Glamp

We booked for our memorial long weekend. The place is great and we had a good time. We booked a cabin for 8 members. The only downside is we only had one wall mount AC unit in the hall and only fans in the bedrooms.

Weekend Trip to The Navasota River Ranch

I booked the grades but due to high brush we were recommended the area near the pond. Despite the heat I had an amazing time. The pond had some nice sized fish, I'm not really sure what they are called but there's variety. There is alot of see weed so we caught that most of the time. I did add firewood and an extra tent but there was no firewood until the day after we checked in. But it wasn't a big issue the first night, we got approval to use any deadwood we find. The bathroom had an infestation of what looked like wasp, but we were relived to find they were wasp like but not exactly, they don't sting, either way it was taken care of afterwards. The heat was pretty hot midday and I was tempted into going in the pond to cool off, but with the amount of seaweed I didn't want to risk my feet getting tangled. We were able to walk the property as we were the only ones there the first 2 days and I will definitely be coming back in the cooler months and trying out the forested areas deep in the property, I wish we were able to get to the river. Maybe next time. All in all it was a great experience with a few hiccups but the warden was very amicable and responded in a timely manner on our concerns. Plus he had a cute little puppy with the most gorgeous eyes.

Me and my family had a great time at the property, we rented out the boats very user friendly didn’t catch any big fish in the lake but we didn’t go far either. AC was working very well the owner was very helpful and very approachable. Had an awesome time!

Went there for a night to be close to lake livingston state park. Small, quiet, and Quant. Cabin was way bigger that I was expecting and had all the amenities. Price was very affordable too. Will definitely recommend and will be back.

Lovely campground. Jeanna and Chris are very interesting and helpful in pointing out fun things to do in the area. I plan to camp here again when we return to the Lake Conroe area.

Weekend Trip to 5D RANCH

Site 19 was such a great spot. Walking distance to the lake where you can fish, boating and swimming. It has so much room for you and family. I loved the area and great shading that allows wind and great campfire scenery. We ended our stay with some bird watching and caught some Cardinals and Blue Jays

4 nights at Cummins Cozy Corral

Jeanna and Kris are good hosts, have sites with level concrete pads, hookups easily accessible to the trailer, free laundry in a shed between two of the pads, and the sites are surrounded by greenery. Jeanna made sure of connecting with us, ready to answer questions along with giving info on the surrounding area for dining, etc. It has been a great base for our time as we had business in College Station and family to visit in Houston. We would have to pay at least double for the same site/service back home in New York state.

Terry was friendly, patient and understanding as I made my way into town, exhausted from a long workday and hours on the road. The property was secluded and quiet, and the amenities were well-crafted, quality built, and meaningful. I loved it here, and will certainly try to find my way back!

Absolutely beautiful property. The campsite we stayed at for the weekend was exactly how it was described online- we loved it!! Plenty of fantastic hiking trails and a little late to go for a swim or take one of the canoes out in. Definitely come back!!

This is a wonderful place to stay! Jeanna and her husband were warm and welcoming from the moment of my arrival. Jeanna’s husband helped me get set up and made sure I had everything I needed. Jeanna became my contact throughout my stay, making sure I was satisfied with everything. It’s a very pretty spot with lots of trees and chickens roaming the property. As a single female camper, I need to be aware of my surroundings. I felt very safe at the fenced and gated, rural Cummins’ Corral. One of the nicest amenities (besides your host and hostess) is the free laundry they provide! I live in my RV full-time and as a Thousand Trails member, I am in need of a place to stay one week out of every month. With the pleasant atmosphere, the lovely hosts, the safe environment, and the great rates, I definitely consider Cummins’ Corral my new monthly go-to!

Our property is meant to be calming, fun and relaxing. Camping with class is what we like to say. We are constantly upgrading our areas and property to be safe and entertaining. Our pond is charming and the focal point of the camping adventure. We have a paddle boat and an electric john boat to toodle around in. Want to go fishing? The pond is stocked with bass, catfish, crappie, bluegill and perch. There is also a small island we call “Angel Island” that you can fish from or just sit on the deck with your favorite beverage and enjoy the view. There is a riding/walking trail that is approximately 0.7 miles in distance and basically encompasses the perimeter of the back area. Walking is common, bikes are welcome and small 4 wheelers are also welcome. No side by sides please. You won’t be over crowded here as we currently only have 7 total camping sites. However, we do have enough property to accommodate large parties, reunions or any other type of get-togethers. Come see us and enjoy time away from the fast paced city! You might hear the sounds of the coyotes yipping in the night or perhaps one of the great horned owls calling out from a big oak tree. You may also see some deer, rabbits, squirrels and even armadillos. We are rustic but classy. Time to get away and relax! The Rock Pit

Learn more about this land: The Rock Pit is a 5 acre swimming hole located in Trinity County that has been there over 50 years. Long ago they had dug out an area on a hill for rock on the dirt roads, and hit and underground water table. There are no fish in the Rock Pit, as the pH is 4.5, so no fish will live in it. I recall swimming there as a small boy, and wanted to share my memories with others. Depth ranges all over, but the deep end is around 15 feet. I have 5 kayaks currently, but bring yours if you have them, along with your vests. There is fishing in Lake Livingston, my place is north of it. There is access to Lake Livingston via White Rock Creek. A public boat ramp in on Highway 94, just outside Trinity. Or you can go back towards Trinity, to highway 357 and go to a ramp closer to the big lake. Tall pine tress, a few Oaks, and maple trees surround the place. Bring your mosquito repellant, as you are in the country! The place is raw right now, but I am planning improvements such as a few A frame cabins, a showering area and so on. So many things to do! We have 5 acres available to guests that is surrounded by pastures and forest. There is a creek bordering the property that is dry much of the year and flowing in the spring after heavy rains. There are trails to the creek, and a road along the pastures. Wild blackberries grow along the drive in the spring, beauty berries in the summer, and grapes throughout the property. A great off-grid stay with septic, well water, and solar or generated power. We are pet friendly - please contact us to ensure your pets meet our (minimal) requirements. Quiet natural location away from the busy city. Located on a private access uneven dirt road so a 4x4 or all wheel drive vehicle is recommended. There is a firepit but please burn inside the cinder blocks area and keep it under control (not too big). Do not burn when it is windy. There is plenty of branches and wood to use for the fire pit. Please make sure to completely put fire out when done. There are 6 acres and you are welcome to camp anywhere you like, in the open areas or in the woody areas in the back. We have a RV barn area that can be used for shade, sitting, eating, relaxing, etc. You can use the tables and chairs. There is also a white water container on the table that you can use for washing. There is a 32 gallon trash bucket that you can put trash in but make sure lid is closed when you're done to keep animals out. This site does not have electric power or running water so please plan accordingly. There is currently not a toilet available but I'm planning on building a composting toilet soon. For now, use the natural way and make sure to bury. For security, there is one camera on the property located near the front entrance. It is mainly for monitoring the front entrance area. This site can also be used for long term parking/storing your RV or vehicle but we are not liable for anything that happens. If interested, please contact me or use the app called "Neighbor". The RV barn currently already has a RV inside it so that parking space can't be used. Our long-term plan is to also make the RV available but we would need to install an in ground septic system and electricity first. Disclaimer: The area is located in nature.
