Melanie was an amazing host from the jump. She met with us as soon as we pulled in and told us about all the amenities the campgrounds had. It was a beautiful land with a nice pond in the middle. We fished, star gazed, went on a nice walk, and made a nice fire. It was the perfect getaway for my wife and 2 children. Ages 8 & 3.

Absolutely perfect! We lived it, my 2 year old nephew got to pick fresh eggs. And couldn't stop talking about the foats and pigs, and had his first ride on a pattle boat. So relaxing! Melanie is an amazing host, they really took care of us. We will defetely go back to enjoy this place again. Love it! ❤️

What a beautiful ranch! We loved the openess of the land, and the animals. The horses actually came right up to our camp. It took awhile to coax them to eat out of our hands, but they finally did. Beautiful.animals. Heath is a great host.

We camped for a week in our Argosy Airstream. The road is paved right up to the campground. It was peaceful, quiet and nestled among the trees. We camped during Christmastime and visited with family and friends during the holidays. There is a train close by but it wasn’t too loud or often. We would camp there again!

This was the perfect place to get away from the well mannered frivolity at RenFest but still feel like we were enjoying the great outdoors disconnected from the digital world. The camp was clean and quiet. We never found the showers but only stayed a night. The Zen Den was just what we needed after a fun day of eating, drinking and being a tad too merry!

We had a great stay here. Jeanna and her husband were wonderful hosts. We had a lovely time staying here and exploring the area. We enjoyed seeing the chickens and cats everyday. Jeanna had some fresh eggs for us and they were incredibly delicious.

On a Saturday morning, my husband told me about a dream of 3 very tall and Magnificent Trees, soaring way up in the sky. A few days later we were walking through the forest looking at a 20 acre tract of land for sale with our realtor, I'm thinking, "oh how would we ever get this cleared, this is a lot of work" Then, up ahead was a clearing and right in the middle were 3 of the tallest, most magnificent Cedar trees. They were perfectly planted standing side by side. We both looked at each other and said," Oh this must be it". The rest is history. Lake Conroe is located about 6 miles west. The Sam Houston National Forest entrance is about 18 miles north. Beyond the national forest is Huntsville and Sam Houston State University 24 miles. To the East is Lake Livingston 35 miles and a continuation of the national forest. To the south are the cities of Conroe, The Woodlands, Spring, and Houston. Downtown Houston is about 49 miles away.
