Weekend Trip to Boulderdash Cabin & Camping

We loved camping out at Boulderdash! The campsites were clean and well maintained. There are amenities like freshwater, WiFi, and electricity available if you’d like, but it doesn’t feel like glamping. If you forget anything, Carol-Anne and Lyn have it handy. The riverside sites are a short walk to wading in the Medina river. The kids and dogs had a blast. Campers who come here should abide by the camp’s simple rule; don’t be a jerk. We’re looking forward to coming back as soon as possible!

I would definitely consider myself an avid outdoorsman/camper, and let me tell you that I am glad that I found this spot. This location has everything you need, restrooms, community sink, and amazing access to the river. The campgrounds are very clean, and the RV sites are perfect. Carol Ann and Lyn put their passion for camping and traveling into their property. And it shows. These people made us feel like we were family, and honestly just want you to have a great experience while you’re at Boulderdash. If I could give this place 10 stars I gladly would. Thank you all very much me and my family, Hope to see you all soon again!

WOW! These vibes are incredible. Blew me out of the water especially for the price of a tent site with yoga studio/game room, 4 private bathrooms, 2 small pools and a sauna, not to mention the full kitchen with free oatmeal and pancakes (cook your own). Also loved the hammock grove that we camped near with plenty of shade from the sun on the left side of the road. She was very friendly and had amazing attention to detail. I’m impressed and will definitely be back to try the A-line cabins. The view was also outstanding.

Both my husband and I really enjoyed our weekend in the hill country, especially here at Seco Ridge! Woody was kind, responsive, and his directions were very clear. The campground itself is spacious, clean, and very quiet which was a plus! Bathrooms and showers were available as well. Each site is numbered and has its own unique characteristics; we reserved site 6 which had the BEST sunrise view. We came on a holiday so we were surprised to find that we were the only ones on the campground. Needless to say, we will definitely be back again and hope to enjoy the band/brewery on the campground next time!

Camping at Boulderdash was absolutely amazing. We rented tent site 1 and our friends rented tent site 2 and it worked perfectly to have that area together. The sites were clean, quiet and had awesome amenities including the outdoor kitchen area to share with each other. This made washing dishes, charging devices and washing hands so easy. The river is beautiful despite being low and there is easy access to it. They are pet friendly as long as your pet is friendly and that's a huge plus. The hosts were so kind as well, they even put on an easter egg hunt for all the kids on site Saturday night. I can't say enough great things and will definitely be back.

This was a beautiful spot. We camped with friends in tents and the amenities were awesome. There was tons of space between the RV sites, tent sites, cabin and trailer. Carol-Anne and Lyn were very helpful and accommodating. There were very nice extras like an Easter egg hunt and feed corn at the site. We will definitely be back.

This campsite was BEYOND amazing !!!!! This place had an awesome section to spend time with the other campers AND had live music Saturday night !! Bathroom’s and showers were clean and updated !! Very much recommend staying here. Stayed in campsite 1 and was very secluded if you’re looking for something more to yourself and/or your family. Will definitely be back !! This ranch is beautiful! Fritz was very hospitable the whole stay. He went out of his way to be sure we were good during some weather. The spots were both stunning and very private. We stayed with 2 young children and they had a blast. We definitely reccomend staying here!

2 nights at Seco Ridge Campgrounds

Everything about this site is absolutely beautiful. It was just the right size for a perfect getaway to relax and spend some time outdoors. The host were very friendly, including the dog and cat that hang out around the kitchen/bathrooms. This little hideaway had some small trails to explore, while the host had several unique art installations around the property as well. Can’t wait to plan another trip out there soon!!

Fantastic camping spot! We booked out both of the river spots so that we had more room and privacy. It was perfect! The walk up to the bath house wasn’t bad at all. Facilities were nice and clean and cared for. We didn’t use the WiFi. The sink and electric were very conveniently located. There was an issue with the outlets, but the hosts were super quick to respond and got us set up with alternate electricity sites in the meantime. Incredibly accommodating. Being next to the water was perfect! The dogs loved it. Plenty of flat spots for tents and parking. Beautiful site. I’ve camped quite a bit within about a 3 hour radius of Austin, and this has been the best! Loved it

Fantastic spot to set up camp at a central location in the hill country. This campsite is secluded as described. Lots of shade in the trees if you desire. Only a couple minute walk to the clean bathrooms and showers. A short stroll the other direction and you will see a clearing with epic hill country sunset views. We’re definitely coming back some day.

About 2 miles as a crow flies from Lost Maples State Park. You drive through a 13,000-acre ranch to get to us. We are at the end of a dead-end road with one way in and one way out. NO FISHING Free firewood for use during your stay and can make a good deal if you want to take some home! As our topo map shows we have a wide variety of terrain ranging from steep cliffs with huge views to shady canyons. The river cuts through the middle of the place and is surrounded by four hills that each have their unique characteristics ranging from flat oak-covered to rocky steep ridges. I guarantee you will find beauty all around. We do have a couple of fun areas to try your 4-wheel drive out. Please dont make your own....stay on trails. There are plenty of places to swim. When the Ladder is reserved, you may not swim there. Please be respectful. We have 1.5 miles of both sides of the river so plenty of places to swim. It varies a lot in depth and width over the ranch. Every camp spot has access to all the swimming holes except the ladder when it is booked. The main swimming holes are-- 1. Below the Green Cabin 2.
