WEST CAVE OUTDOOR DISCOVERY CENTER (2.6 mi) is open by reservation only for guided tours of the waterfall/cave-no swimming allowed. No dogs allowed at West Cave
PEDERNALES FALLS STATE PARK (34 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking and swimming. Dogs on a leash allowed
ENCHANTED ROCK STATE NATURAL AREA (71 mi) is open by reservation only for day use hiking on weekends and holidays.

1. Fuel up in Alpine or Study Butte, depending on which direction you are traveling from.
-From Alpine: take HWY 118 South out of Alpine approximately 62 miles until you come to the only left turn lane. Turn left on Terlingua Ranch Road. You will see the large white Terlingua Ranch Lodge sign.
-From Study Butte: take Hwy 118 North 16 miles from the ALON gas station, turn right at the Terlingua Ranch Lodge sign.
2. Follow Terlingua Ranch Road approximately 16 miles. The first 13 miles are asphalt. There is not a center stripe, please stay on your side of the road. THE LAST THREE MILES ARE ON A MAINTAINED DIRT AND GRAVEL ROAD. It can be wash-boarded in areas. Please drive slowly and observe speed limits to help protect our roads
We are proud to be a part of The Greater Big Bend International Dark Sky Reserve. All guests are requested to keep their site as dark as possible between 10pm and 6am.
Fire Ban: Due to extreme drought, only gas grills and propane burners are allowed. NO charcoal or wood fires.

While we are adjacent to Big Bend National Park, it is approximately 36 miles to the Maverick Junction entrance of Big Bend National Park and an additional 22 miles to Panther Junction Headquarters and Visitors Center.
We are about 32 miles to Study Butte and about 37 miles to Terlingua Ghost Town area.
Terlingua Ranch is 192,000 acres of desert and mountains between Big Bend National Park and Big Bend Ranch State Park in far SW Texas. Our campsites are in the area of the Terlingua Ranch Lodge, which features a swimming pool, cafe, laundry, bathhouse, disc golf course, access to hiking trails, and other amenities. Kaz always had a DREAM to help kids with Life Skills & Mentor in God’s Principles because she had Christian Mentors growing up! They were always there for her through her life and kept her focused down the right path and stayed out of trouble and learned a tremendous amount from them! Bill her husband supports her and they raised 7 children together and have 10 grandkids. Kaz father was Asperger's Autistic and from 5 years old started showing Kaz hands on learning skills that are still instilled in her today! She found this to be a Valuable Lesson from her Dad. These methods and skills through the years working with her own children and other children through the years with different organizations confirm to be very beneficial and encouraging for the children growing up. Bill and Kaz have shared equally through all they’re projects during they’re 40 years of marriage. They’re Jack Of All Trades, Artists, Shown in Art Shows, Remodeled Homes, Churches, Work on the Ranch Together, and Etc. They are able to teach others how to do things that can benefit kids till they graduate and have a better understanding of what they want to do in their lives as an adult and PLUS have the mentoring to guide them through life.
The Ranch has its main Mission to work with youth but is open to Renting the Ranch House that Sleeps 1 to 20 guests, and RV/5th Wheeled Campers Camp Sites and Tent Camping for them to Enjoy the Marvels that God has Created and Lot's to Experience, Explore, and Observe!

Man this place was awesome, it was my 1st time camping and using this app but I had an amazing time. I love the crystal clear water, people are chill, the owners are responsive . The place and experience was awesome. I’m definitely going to book again.

I loved the Ranch House/ Cabin! I brought my 3 teen grandchildren. ALWAYS on phone...so I looked for something remote and open...loved the whole ranch. Got there and we got to look around. It was HOT but kids were okay with that. Went and got some hot dogs and stuff for s'mores. The sunset was beautiful! They couldn't use their phones so we did what I had hoped to do. They started a fire....grilled hot dogs and roasted s'mores...and we talked by the fire! Kids said they truly enjoyed being unplugged! The place itself was large enough to accommodate us 4. I can't wait to do this again. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to unplug. No TV was a plus! Lana has the perfect place to just get away. We also got to gaze at the stars. The open sky was just amazing!

Weekend Trip to Country Woods Inn
We loved our weekend a Country Woods Inn. The airstream was as cute and cozy we had hoped. Breakfast in the barn was delicious. It even included carrots for the donkey and horse that joined us! We had a great time… We have already referred others…. We will be going back.

Overall, we had a great stay! Everything was clean and well-maintained. My babies absolutely loved the bunk beds—they were definitely a highlight of the trip. The waterfront property was beautiful, and it was just a short walk to the river, which we really enjoyed. The location was also perfect—close to a little town that has everything you might need if you forget anything, and less than an hour’s drive to Enchanted Rock and Fredericksburg, making it a great home base for exploring the area. The host was very responsive and easy to communicate with. We would definitely stay here again!

Very enjoyable time. Went on a Sunday hoping it would be less busy than over the weekend and it was so peaceful. Weather showed expected rain. I was easily upgraded into one of their jupe tents. Very pretty campsite right on the river. Very helpful staff and owners were easily reached by phone and on the app. Definitely will be returning.

It was our first time camping and we loved every bit of it. The campground we got was real close to the river and just a walk away from the restroom and showers. The view was amazing and space was more than abundant. Wish it wasn’t cloudy so we could of seen the starry night sky and the sunrise, but other than that I would recommend this place to anybody who wants to escape the city life and relax with nature. We will definitely be going back once the cool weather starts so our kids can enjoy it!

I took my girlfriend here who had never been camping before and she loved it. We got to tent camp next to the creek and watch the stars on the roof of my 4Runner, which made for a safe and fun experience.
The shower came in clutch, since we wanted to go to Mass on Sunday and both got to drive up to the building and freshen up really well before Church.
The location is really perfect too because we were only 30 minutes from Enchanted Rock, Fredericksburg and plenty of places to get food and find a Catholic Church with a morning mass we could make.

Beautiful night sky from a hammock. Cleanest river in Texas. From tent to cabin, they've got it covered. Clean and air-conditioned bathhouse. Rock hunting, island exploring, river floating. Every site has a fire ring and a grill.addded bonus, no mosquitoes!

1 night at Dos Rios - Hill Country Adventure
I loved being able to explore the land along the river. Interesting rock formations and plants. I didn't know it, but the area is one of the best in Texas for rock hunting!
The camp is peaceful. I enjoyed lying in one of the many hammocks, stargazing and listening to the cicadas and tree frogs.
No cell service was a blessing but there's civilization 10 minutes away if you need anything.
The Jupe was comfortable. Next time, I want to bring some family and rent a cabin. Tent site one looks perfect for hammock camping. The bathhouse was clean and air conditioned, which was a welcome surprise.
I would have liked to have gone on a tubing adventure, but couldn't get in contact with the owners. That's my only caveat and it's minor since there were so many things to do.

19 ft rooftop tent
This was our first time there and the place was fantastic! The views were amazing and if stargazing is your thing then this is the place! We got some great shots of the Milky way. The restrooms with showers is close by and the Bad Rabbit Café was wonderful! The chef made my eggs perfectly. Lol.
