Camp Cold Springs is a newly renovated RV park situated on 14 acres along the Frio river with approximately 450 feet of Frio river frontage. Located 2 miles north of Garner State Park at 1101 Cold Spring Ranch Rd Concan, TX, we offer 50 full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50-amp connections available at every site. We have pull-through and back-in sites that either live in the shade or soak up the sun. There are two private river access points on the property for guests that lead you down to the cool, refreshing, gorgeous Frio River. Alongside the river, you will notice our spring-fed pond where many of our junior campers enjoy fishing. The river frontage at Camp Cold Springs is perfect for all ages with easy access walking down to the river. We have a large, generally flat, shallow area that is great for little ones to roam around or guests that enjoy lounging in the refreshing Frio waters. The rock island is enjoyed by our more adventurous guests that like to take an aerial approach into the river, while on the southern part of our river, guests enjoy the 2-4 foot deep swimming areas of the river. Camp Cold Springs is pet-friendly and has amenities such as a bathhouse, an office with a store, a basketball court, a volleyball court, and other lawn games.

Fort Clark began as a US Army Post in 1852; built beside the Las Moras Springs, to defend settlers along the Pecos Trail. In service until 1947, Fort Clark was a cavalry fort and home of the famed Black Seminole Indian Scouts; as well as every historic Buffalo Soldier regiment in the US Army. During WWII, it was headquarters for the 2nd Cavalry Division and it housed more than 3000 German POWs. The old Army Guardhouse is now a museum. Open air cabin is screened in to avoid natural animals but a nice breeze blows off the river which will keep you cool at night. 125 feet to the beautiful Frio River from the campsite. Enjoy walks in the morning, camp cooking, star gazing at night, a Bar-B-Que pit is provided and enjoy a fire in the fire pit. A rope swing is just minutes up river. This is primitive camping on the Frio River at its best. -4 wheel drive is mandatory to cross river.

I am looking forward to sharing its natural beauty with others, and hope that we’ll also be able to preserve this family land for future generations. We have about a hundred feet of creek acreage and five acres of land. You’ll be able to access the river from the road to the property, but as it is a co-op of private landowners, we simply ask that you respect any private property signage. I’ll be around to answer any questions you may have about where to explore.The fishing is phenomenal here, especially if you like fly fishing or creek fishing. There are largemouth bass, several perch species, and catfish in this river and its creeks. It’s one of my favorite places to fish, and I come here every weekend that I can.
