After years of looking all over the mountains for a river property we could call our own, our favorite spot on the river came up for sale. It just so happened it was nearly halfway between where we both grew up. After many sleepless nights worrying if we could succeed or not (it was much larger than properties we had been looking for), we bought it! Our favorite spot on the river was virtually inaccessible by any way other than floating. But after hundreds of hours of hard work, we think we have developed a place where others too can enjoy the things we do about the property. Neal Creek Primitive camping by the creek is located on private property. The two large campsites are approximately 300 feet apart and are located right beside the running creek. Plenty of shaded area's. We have a 6-8 person tent available to rent as well! Learn more about this land: We are only 1/2 a mile from the Interstate 85. So bring your tents, campers or your small RV and come and setup down by the babbling creek. If you don't have or own a tent, we have a large 6-8 person tent available for a small rental fee too. The property consists of 93 acres and 2780 feet (1⁄2 mile) of river frontage on the First Broad River. The First Broad River offers canoeing, kayaking, tubing, and fishing. Smallmouth and freshwater sunfishing is incredible on this stretch of the river and there are also opportunities for mountain river catfish. Tellurian’s scenic location offers stunning vista views of the surrounding countryside, sprawling views of the South Mountain and Cherry Mountain ranges, as well as long range views of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Recently one of our neighbors, who does quite a bit of camping, set up their travel trailer in the same spot while their home was being painted. All of us absolutely loved TangleWood. We'll definitely stay again. The property was beautiful, safe, clean, quiet and VAST. Blair recommended a perfect site with privacy and the stream wrapping around it: Buckeye Bank. We had a tent, truck and and a small camper van. There was plenty of room. Driving in along the stream to our spot were a few other cool options for stays (mini homes, safari tents). The sites are well spread out and the pora-johns (about one per 2 sites) were immaculate. We went on 2 hikes on their enormous property. Our dogs played in the stream together right beside our campfire. The stars were magnificent. We'd love to come back again.

Blair was an exceptional host. He takes great care of his guests and responded to things very promptly. He brought up a second solar generator for us because the first wasn't fully charged and got us tiki torch oil when we needed it. The property is beautiful and I definitely plan on going back. The hilltop safari tent is a great spot and I highly recommend it. The tent was in immaculate shape and ready for us to have a great weekend.

I loved this site! Super beautiful with the trees and river. There's ample room for 2 vehicles and 2 tents. No picnic table which would've been nice, but we brought our own and it was ok. The fire pit was nice as well. The river bank was steep so not easy to get in and out of, but I think there's a boat ramp somewhere. I would definitely love to stay here again, overall a really nice spot

We loved tent camping at the Far Out space! It was very secluded - we never saw anyone else! There was plenty of down trees for firewood and great flat spots for our tent. Mike was super helpful when we got there - he made one trip when I got there and another when my husband got there with the ATV. We were nervous about the 5-8 minute walk and not having our car right there but with Mike's help it was very doable! We will definitely be back!
