#4 Pavilion Campsite

Vicki and Vicki’s land were wonderful. My buddy and I came from up north for some mtb and exploration around here. First time for me and I was blown away by all of it. Best of all was Vicki’s property when the day was done. Quiet, incredible spot. Well kept, just great vibes overall. The on-site amenities were spot on, and the shower came in clutch after a long ride at Berm Park.

Glamping just outside Pisgah

I enjoyed glamping at site #2 on Vicki’s property. There was a sturdy tent w/cot, air mattress, sleeping bags, chair, picnic table, a fire pit w/a couple chairs, potty bucket with sanitizing spray, soil to cover & hand sanitizer and all of this was backed up to a lovely creek. Location only a few minutes from Pisgah. Felt very safe as a woman camping alone and private. Vicki was warm & welcoming! Down falls were few but could be dealbreakers for some including traffic noise at all hours (earplugs were included although), tear in screen of tent (not an issue for me since few bugs & cool in evening), no trash service and no running water for drinking, cooking or washing hands but there was a hot shower (but I did not use). I was also very cold my first night using summer bags provided, so suggest bringing cooler weather bags for camping outside of the summer months. Finally there was a burn ban which prevented me from going on the trail I planned to hike and having a campfire, both disappointing but not in Vicki’s control.

This is the most beautiful place- giving heartfelt meaning to its name. The hosts are authentic, kind, and good. The setting is a charming forest, nestled along a peaceful stream, artfully arranged with all the accommodations one needs to enjoy nature’s best- including a private trail, common area for gathering, fire pits, picnic tables, chickens, and ducks (and their delicious fresh eggs!). Whether you want to wander and enjoy western North Carolina (easy access to cool places!), or be still and soak in the song of the woods—this is a perfect setting.

Peaceful Creek Sleep

My pup and I stayed in the uber-comfy site 3 tent by the creek. There's a little bench where I sat and crocheted until dusk and we slept so soundly in the bed. Woke up early and hiked Vicki's suggested Moore's Cove and it was perfect. Vicki and Brian were super friendly and greeted us with literal open arms. Will stay again!

The camp is located minutes from hikes and breweries, with easy access to Pisgah and downtown Brevard. Yet it still feels secluded enough to still be camping.

5 stars! Vicki is an amazing host and very attentive. She went out of her way to make sure my pup and I were comfortable and warm during the colder nights. The property is stunning set within the rhododendrons. Such a cool spot, not to miss! We’ll be back this Summer!

My husband and I loved this whole camping experience! The tent is super spacious with a beautiful view of the creek. We'd wake up to the sound of happy ducks playing in the water too. I have back problems and was worried about the bed at first, but man! It was SO comfortable. I was even able to use the swing yoga rig at the pavilion to do some decompression for my back. Vicki was so kind and very communicative with any and all questions. I also loved all the little signs that give detailed instructions for any and every thing. 100/10 can't wait to go back!

This was an absolutely adorable place to stay! Everyone was very friendly and it was great that there were shared spaces, but I still felt like I could have privacy at my site. The whole campground was well maintained, and perfectly located between hiking at DuPont State Forest and the night life of Asheville!

Vicki had the tent set up and ready for us when we arrived. The cots had a an inflatable pad on them which made it even comftier! She also left wood and herbs for us. Would stay again.

We stayed in our camper van for a few nights. It’s a super beautiful place with cool chickens and ducks and turkeys. Nice area to walk around. Vicki was an awesome host and a super cool person! Will be back !

I enjoyed my stay at Vicki's place. The campsite was a perfect set up and nestled right by a creek. As others have said, there is road noise, so be prepared for that. The shower was lovely and relaxing.

We had an incredible stay! Vicki is a phenomenal host who has clearly dedicated lots of time to creating a peaceful atmosphere to enjoy the outdoors. She had proactively reached out to me when Site 3 opened up and offered to upgrade us, so happy that we did! All of the sites are wonderful and offers a perfect getaway base camp for exploring the nearby outdoors and Asheville. We hope to be back!

Great tent area next to a small creek with fire pit, covered picnic table, and a tent pad. A short walking path takes you to a custom built outhouse and a hot shower. Vicki and Brian were great hosts and provided some awesome guitar/violin tunes around the community campfire.

What a great experience such a cute place! Will definitely be back! The host was awesome the tent sites were perfect having everything we needed for a three night stay. Its perfect location we came up to rock climb and hike. The sites were super clean!

Perfect Peace at Pisgah

We had a gorgeous trip to Pisgah Forest when the leaves were starting to change in October. Staying on Vicki’s land was a great experience. Everything was clean and tidy and exactly how it’s described on the website. It’s also a perfect location for hikes, bike rides, restaurants, and activities/shopping. We plan to go back soon to visit the chickens!

I have traveled the US quite a bit and this was one of the most pleasant experiences I've had. From the host communication to the beautiful setting, it is hard to imagine a better spot this near the national forest! The hosts were so kind through the booking process and happy to answer my questions. What a perfect location, a short drive from the Land of the waterfalls and the Blue Ridge Parkway. The campground itself is beautifully built. Communal fire pit, central outdoor kitchen and a hot shower. I read some reviews about road noise but in my RV there was absolutely no problem. This is a place I would have gladly extended my stay if not for previous plans. Highly recommended!

1. The host, Vicki, is a very good person and genuinely friendly. No complaint. I do not like giving negative reviews or comments, as I know it can damage the business. 2. The bed was not comfortable at all. The bed was made from 2 single camp beds, which were not level. One bed was higher than the other. The mattress was made from 6 individual small pieces, which kept moving the entire night. I had to leave the place because of back pain. 3. Too much noise from the highway. This is something that I know can't be fixed.

Vicki’s land is a sweet get away! We loved the chickens but especially enjoyed meeting her turkey Sweet Pea! She has a great nature walk on the property. Also the shower was divine after a day of biking. Vicki is making her property magical for guests to enjoy and wishing her all the best!

The spot was very secluded from other sites on the property and was a great home base for local adventures. Vicki was quick to respond with communications and very accommodating during our stay. The highway noise is definitely noticeable, as noted by others, but the provided ear plugs were a nice touch! The shower was hot and very welcomed after a long day of hiking.
