If you’re looking for accessible and convenient camping in the foothills, bring your camper/RV/tent to Green River Getaway! Not your typical campsite 🏕️-with only 1 other camp site beside you-you’ll be Surrounded by nature🌳🦌 yet convenient to shopping, dining, and sightseeing. Your site is walking distance (.5mi) from the Green River and only: 8 miles from Tryon International Equestrian Center 🐎, 20 minutes from Lake Lure and Chimney Rock, 30 minutes from Hendersonville, and 1 hour from Asheville. If you’re looking for outdoor fun, there are many local hiking trails 🥾, horseback 🐴 riding barns, and local farms 🎃🍎🍑🫐 and vineyards🍷🍷. ***Following Hurricane Helene 🌀, some trails remain closed and the river access near our campsite is quite messy. We can advise you on available hikes, sightseeing, and water activities to help make your stay enjoyable. ***If you have T-mobile service, there is little/no reception at the site. You can get it by driving up the hill in either direction***There’s a picnic table, playground, full hookup, and outdoor lighting available. This lot is gravel and is nestled in a level lot. The site is close to I-26 and is convenient to many local vineyards, hikes, waterfalls, restaurants, fishing, tubing, and horseback riding.

Nice road to get there and good gravel at the spot. Short drive to the river. Neighboring campers were very quiet. Amazing hosts gave us privacy and they were super responsive for our many questions with so many suggestions. If you’re looking for a launch pad for the area, this is great.

Great site with activities for kids as well. Beautiful area and close to town. Owners provide list of recommendations for restaurants and activities, making dinner choice easy 😎. Owners communicate very well and make sure you have everything you need.

It is directly on the road but almost no cars. We felt absolutely secluded even being on the road. Almost zero traffic the whole day. Nice playground for kids. Super clean water. Super clean spot and good graveled lot. Definitely a great time.

What a gem! We loved our stay at Green River Getaway! Location was perfect with easy access to area attractions, Columbus, and Tryon. Though site is near the road, we saw very little traffic and there was no inconvenience. Diana and Joseph were immediately responsive to inquiries and even accommodated a last minute extension to our trip. They left hookups readily accessible, sent pics to guide us in, and even left the string lights on making it warm & inviting. The next time we are in the area we will definitely book with them again.

We had such a great stay at Diana’s site! The spot was quiet and had everything we needed for the night. The host has children and it made for such a fun night for our two daughters. They have already asked if we can go back

This is a lovely spot for camping. Very quiet and peaceful. My wife and I and our Husky spent the weekend and loved it. Diana and Joseph and their kids are great hosts! Will definitely be back soon!

Perfect for what we needed

Green River Getaway
This was the perfect little spot, tucked away right off of i26. We used it as a pit stop for the night on our journey up to Kentucky but my kids asked to stay longer or come back. Easy to find, easy to pull through & hook up. The trampoline and playground in the trees were great for our kids to burn some energy. We arrived during the night and in the rain but the host still came out to greet us and assisted with making sure we had all we needed. They even asked if we needed help setting up. Super nice people. The space was clean and open, yet still tucked away enough to be quiet and cozy. The site was on a bit of a slope, but nothing that couldn’t be solved without leveling blocks. We would come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! Our hosts were kind and extremely welcoming. They provided us with great recommendations for enjoying the area and we instantly felt at home. The utilities, parking, and access were all easy. The surrounding nature is epic. We would absolutely stay again.

Nice quiet site. Close to road, but that did not take anything away from site. Diana and Joseph were very friendly and gave great tips on where to go. Able to walk our two dogs to Green River and play in the water. Overall, a very relaxing weekend! We will stay here again!
