Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.
Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. There are 3 campsites and one cabin located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Welcome to Forks Farm Campground! Forks Farm is an 86 acre farm located in Fishing Creek, Columbia County, Pennsylvania. The grass and timber farm is nestled along Huntington Creek at the base of a south-facing slope with beautiful views of Knob Mountain and Huntington Mountains to the south.
There is a fire pit, picnic tables, a swimming hole, wooded campsites, fishing, Josiah Hess Covered Bridge, an outhouse, and an open area for recreational use. Please remember we are a working farm. The farm store is open 24/7 for self-service. Forks Farm Market has been providing the community with locally produced foods every 2nd and 4th Saturday, May - December, for thirty years and has established itself as the area's first and only on-farm, producer-only farm market offering the local community chemical-free, pasture-raised meats, dairy, and farmstead cheese in addition to a wide variety of locally produced foods, fiber, and crafts from over twenty vendors.
The campground is easily accessed from the Bloomsburg exit of Interstate 80, ten miles north on SR 487, and 1.5 miles east of Forks on Winding Road. The nearest major town is Bloomsburg, 10 miles to the south, and both Philadelphia and New York City are within a 3-hour drive.

The 66-acre property has been licensed as an airport (PS20) since the 1980s. It is currently an active, private airport. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. In other words, it is very quiet here except during the occasional low pass. We are very eager for pilots to fly in and camp out! The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds.

We are within walking distance of Swatara State Park and close to the Appalachian Trail. Short drive to the local winery, bowling alley, pub/diner, and movie theater. Hershey Park is approximately a 30-minute drive from our location. Rausch Creek, Anthracite, and Reading off-road areas are also nearby.

This place is really an amazing place. I found it to be very cozy and pleasant. Don’t question it you should absolutely book a stay here. The host was extremely hospitable, they gave me a full tour in the morning and I got to meet all of the animals and their awesome personalities. I will definitely be booking another trip to this enchanting oasis.

I’m not new to this - I’m true to this. However it was my husband's and dog’s first time camping. This site was a DREAM! Expansively perched upon a hilltop within reach of the stars, it was everything you’d want for an newbie experience.
Susan was an awesome host:

Absolutely beautiful experience. Great value. Will definitely be back. We will try the cabin next time we can. Used the camper this time. Camper had heat. Its quiet up there and Absolutely beautiful. Emus were fun to watch and just coming running when they see you. Couldn't have ask for a better experience. Weather was a little chilly Saturday but thats not their fault and the fact the heat worked was helpful. One small note. If you have physical disabilities, it can be alot of walking but you can drive your vehicle right to the toilet. Everything else is some walking.

Great spot well away from other sites and literally right on the water. Heavy cover from trees so nice and shady. Site was not very "buggy" and nobody in my party got a tick though we did employ repellent. Flat space is somewhat at a premium but you can definitely place 2-3 tents. Access is via fairly steep stairs and slope but there is a railing. I would say hiking boots are a necessity. Those with leg mobility issues are probably better off at the other sites which are more easily accessed. Moderate rain for most of the trip raised the creek level a bit but not to where there was any fear of cresting the edge. Very clean porta-potty maybe 75-100' away on the access road. 24-hour Sunoco/7-11 about a 10-15 minute drive away. Mark is a great host, very communicative and responsive. Cost of wood was very reasonable.

Great camping experience in central PA! Susan is a wonderful host and has a beautiful farm. A 5 gallon jug of water is provided and firewood is available. Each site has a fire ring and secluded from others. A porta John is available, shared among several sites.

My family stayed in Bill and Erin’s RV by the goats, highland cows and guardian dog, Yeti for a few days. It rained nearly the entire time we were there, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying our time on their lovely farm. The animals were the best, and they were our favorite part of the trip. The RV was roomy, clean and comfortable. I would absolutely recommend staying here to anyone. We will look to stay there again when we travel out that way. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

The absolute best thing about this site (and there were many awesome things) was that they only let one group rent at a time, but the site is HUGE. It’s RIGHT on the water and we saw so much amazing wildlife. We caught trout and went turkey hunting on the public land in the area. The market was adorable and we got breakfast there to cook on the fire. We would definitely stay again!

Absolutely amazing Birthday adventure!! Beautiful entry into a great site. Got to meet Al and Donna and their family.. so responsive and friendly as ever .. so nice to meet you all… First night a little cold 🥶 around 6am I was able to get warm enough to sleep.. didn’t expect it to be that chilly.. thank goodness for our pup Mile he kept my feet warm 😊 Morning was a better start .. fire .. coffee and food!! Had everything u could need!!! was able to keep a small fire going all day and helped keep us comfortable.. took a walk around the pond and enjoyed the evening sounds of nature.. and the smell of strawberry smores!!! we have absolutely loved every moment of our Adventures and will be coming back!!! Thank you for your hospitality!! ❤️

We had a great weekend here with our two dogs and our teardrop camper. The amenities were as described in the listing. (Electric hook up, water available a very short walk away, no bathroom.) Thomas was very helpful, chill, and personable!
The winery property was extremely busy both days we were there with a local dance company hosting their spring show at the performance stage on the other side of the property. We could hear the music, but even with the hundreds of people just a few hundred yards away, we felt tucked away in our little grassy corner, and we were still able to eat a couple of meals on the patio of the restaurant where there is an amazing view of the vineyard and the rolling hills in the distance. Both morning, we could hear turkeys gobbling in the trees not far off.
We did some hiking at nearby Shikellamy State Park m, and I squeezed in a nice, scenic, and hilly run down the back roads surrounding the winery. A great, relaxing stay in a beautiful location.

Cool primitive spot at the top of a PA mountain. Views are good, road up is slightly gnarly but worth it.
Didn’t hear any road noise or gunfire like other reviews stated but maybe we got lucky.
If you’re truck bed or rooftop camping bring something to help level out your setup.
Would recommend.

Dug and Lisa were so welcoming! We really enjoyed our time camping and swimming in the river. The tent site was just a short walk from the cars, and there were wagons to help you move your stuff. We fit 3 tents and a hammock camping set up at the campsite at the tip of the peninsula. Will definitely come back to this site!
