Dancing Hen Farm – Scenic Farm Camping in Benton, Pennsylvania. Dancing Hen Farm offers a charming and peaceful farm camping experience on 26 acres of rural Pennsylvania countryside. This property is perfect for campers who want to immerse themselves in farm life while still enjoying the simple comforts of a well-equipped site. The land features a tranquil pond, shady pine trees, and open fields that create a relaxed, natural setting — ideal for a weekend getaway or a longer stay exploring the outdoors. Learn about Organic farming, feed the chickens, explore , or just kick back and relax by the pond. The farm grows organic vegetables, herbs, and flowers, and is home to a flock of 6 free-roaming laying hens and now 7 chicks. , giving you a true taste of pastoral living during your stay. Camping is available in both tent and RV styles, with at least one tent site located near the pond under pine trees or in open sun if you prefer and a hilltop spot with amazing views. All camping spots allow campfires, and you’ll have access to a toilet, potable water, and electrical hookups, making it easy to settle in and enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Pets are welcome, so your furry companions can join in on the adventure. For something a bit different, there’s also a unique lodging option aboard a converted “beach bus” type skoolie that’s been outfitted with a comfy bed, kitchen facilities, fridge, sink with running water, shower, heating and air conditioning — a fun glamping choice if you prefer more structure than traditional camping. Dancing Hen Farm’s location in Benton puts you within a short driving distance of beautiful natural attractions like Ricketts Glen State Park with its waterfalls, hiking trails, and scenic landscapes, as well as other nearby parks and small towns worth exploring. It’s a great base for outdoor activities, nature walks, or simply relaxing by the fire under starry Pennsylvania skies. There are also multiple Breweries, wineries a cidery and farm to table restaurants nearby.

Perched on top of a hill across from the farm on six acres, you will experience privacy, peace and quiet, and amazing views. We only book one party at a time, so you can be assured you will have a relaxing camping experience. It’s a bit of a walk up, haul in/ haul out, but it’s worth the hike! There’s a fire pit and a camping toilet with a privacy tent. We can supply dishes, water, etc. plenty of firewood around. Tent site only

Pond site, pine trees for shade, or full sun if you prefer. Spring fed pond for swimming, floating or paddle boarding. Has a picnic table, hammock, 2 0 gravity chairs, and fire pit. The only sound you will hear is the birds and frogs. Full access to all 26 acres for hiking and exploring. This site is only for van or tent camping. It’s not suitable for large RVs. Electric hookups available upon request for $20/ night.

We have a gravel parking area in front of the barn for RVs , camper vans can use this site or the pond site. We have 30 amp electric available for $15 per night. You will have full access to all 21 acres on the farm, including the pond, and the six up the hill unless the hilltop site is reserved.

Enjoy the ultimate farm stay glamping in our surfer themed 19 ft Skoolie. It has everything you need, fully stocked for cooking, making coffee, fridge and freezer, sink with running water, shower, camping toilet, full size comfy bed, dinette, fan, heat, AC, and both rear doors open to let nature in! The bus is parked next to the pond, with amazing views in all directions.

Post hiking glamping

We stayed in the Beach Bus for one night after exploring Ricketts Glen, and our only regret is not staying longer! This place is truly incredible … such a great escape from city living & such a relaxing spot to stay after hiking. Kathleen & Don were great hosts - the bus is equipped with everything you need (and more) & they’re very accessible if anything else comes up. Definitely recommend!

We pulled up to the barn with our trailer and had the warmest welcome from the flock. Sweetest chicks will come right up to you but weren’t a menace. Pretty farm views with sunrise and sunset. We parked our 21’ trailer by the barn, nice level site. The pond was accessible by foot and is quite a special spot - also camping available by the pond for tents and smaller rigs. Our host Kathleen was friendly & hospitable offering us anything we needed as well as suggesting various restaurants and local activities. Take the hike to Rickett’s Glen State Park- beautiful spot & explore the covered bridges nearby.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Kathleen and Don were extremely accommodating and gave us the privacy we needed for our anniversary weekend. Spending time at the Spring fed pond watching the large toads,bullfrogs,and large tadpoles swimming around hearing the birds whistle watching them swoop over the water. We even got to see a deer and their mama. It was an amazing peaceful quiet weekend. The camper bus was quaintly decorated showing many different states Incorporated in the decorating. The bed was comfortable. The bathroom might be tight, but it’s a bathroom guys. I wouldn’t be too worried about it. It’s better than a porta potty or a compost toilet. The bus was clean.With all the windows and doors open we never needed to use any AC although the day was warm, the nights cooler.. Kathleen and Don were very accommodating and kind. They even gifted us wine to celebrate our anniversary weekend which was so thoughtful. Having the fire pit to cook on at night and sit by the water at the picnic table was extremely romantic.As you can see in the picture I put battery operated tea lights everywhere and we cooked our fillet and baked potatoes and eat as the night got darker and darker. It was just beautiful.

I loved camping at the hen farm in their RV. Kathleen was super friendly and pleasant to speak to.She was extremely helpful with great knowledge of the area for things to do with family. I stayed in the RV with my grandson and it was perfect for the 2 of us.They have a pond if you want to swim .The fresh eggs delivered daily were a real treat. It was my first camping trip in an RV and was a wonderful bonding time with my grandson. I highly recommend this place for anyone wanting a camping experience.

We absolutely loved our stay! We explored the whole area with hikes and the hosts showed us their greenhouses. The pond was beautiful and the farm animals were lovely! The bus was wonderful as well!

Cute little spot on farm. Hosts were very welcoming and available and present taking care of their farm Chickens are part of atmosphere and extra fresh eggs were a nice surprise Cute free roaming dog is friendly and other dog friendly . went to Bills Bike barn, which was a ideal activity for a rainy day camping trip.
