Weekend Trip to The River's Edge

We really enjoyed camping on Thomas' land. The view was beautiful looking out over the rushing river and we even saw a bald eagle a few times across the river. The campsite itself is a bit narrow, so keep that in mind if you have small children. But there was plenty of room for the three of us. The canvas tent and bed made for an excellent experience of being outside without sacrificing too many luxuries. And having an extra tent already set up for us was so helpful considering it was raining when we arrived. This camp site includes a large canopy, tables, silverware and dishes, and a well maintained grill. If you are looking to camp but don't want to pack half the kitchen, this site will have you covered.

Fantastic time ! Great set up with everything you could possibly need. Would absolutely stay there again ! Thomas was really nice and extremely helpful with information about the area. Definitely recommend staying there.

2 nights at Quilted Woods

Dan's site is everything you want from a Hipcamp. Nestled amongst nature with plenty of privacy, safety, and planning. "Site 3" is perfect for those with an SUV or similar and there's a deck so that setting up the tent is super easy, there's also a fire pit (with fire wood nearby) with a bunch of tree stumps to sit on. Dan is what makes this Hipcamp truly shine though - a host that is friendly and welcoming goes a long way. He went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and even helped me plan out a route that I could ride on my motorcycle. BONUS: My truck broke down in the site, Dan helped me get it out and the whole scenario went a lot smoother because of him and all his help - a true gent :) Cheers Dan, you're the best - can't wait to ride some tracks with you!

Weekend Trip to Fairie Tale Farm

This is a beautiful farm with the best host! We have been here a few times now with our two young children and we have a wonderful time each time we go. The grounds are wonderfully maintained and Susan, the host, and her dog Stevie are so friendly and helpful. And having water and firewood at the site is a huge plus. There is a lovely lake and it’s never too crowded. A perfect respite from city life.

Pulled into a very well labeled easy to find site, well kept, and absolutely perfectly set up. It was a very peaceful getaway. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

We loved camping at Hundred Mile View! It rained the whole day but we still had a great time! The view was spectacular from our campsite. The restrooms were clean. We will definitely be back!

The location was very convenient for the activities we had planned. kayaking on the Del. The site was level, clean, easy to access. The facilities and attention were above and beyond. I've never had a host check in to see if I needed anything. Typically I have to track them down. this site was on top of it. If you needed it, they had it. I will be going back and I will recommend to others.

Our group had a great time camping here! Nice, level maintained grassy area for car camping with access down to the Delaware for kayaking and swimming. There was multiple camping areas within view in the main field area, but spots were far enough apart where it didn't feel too crowded. Porta-potties were well kept and the hosts provided us with clean potable water and firewood. Would definitely stay again!

A Gem of a Campground - Highly Recommend! We just returned from a fantastic camping trip and had to share our experience at Round Stone. This place is a true gem! From the moment we arrived, the check-in process was smooth and easy. Casey's communications on expectations were on point. We stayed at Tent Site 4, which was perfect for our needs. It was spacious, well-maintained, and offered a good amount of shade. The ground was level, making setting up our tent a breeze. We also had a great fire pit and picnic table at our site. One thing that truly stood out was the cleanliness of the facilities. We've been to campgrounds where the portable toilets are less than desirable, but the porta-potties here were spotless! It's clear the staff takes great pride in keeping the grounds clean and comfortable for everyone. This alone makes a huge difference in the overall camping experience. Beyond our site and the clean restrooms, the campground itself was wonderful. The atmosphere was peaceful and exactly what we were looking for in a getaway. Overall, we were incredibly impressed with Roundstone and are already planning our next trip back. If you're looking for an excellent campground with great sites and exceptionally clean facilities, look no further! Highly recommend!

We loved staying at Paper Mill Pines, the place is even better than the pictures, Donna thought of EVERYTHING! we showed up with our food and our clothes, everything else was provided, from kitchen utensils, blankets, endless amounts of firewood, clean outhouse, lights, etc etc! this was the true definition of glamping! And the hospitality was truly unmatched!! it was such a relaxing weekend!

This campsite provides a great location to use as a base for day hikes. The tent site is situated beneath a canopy of two large Red Oak trees. This property was formerly a farm and has since grown back to a pioneer Hardwood Forest. There are stone rows throughout the farm and some areas that have been cleared of invasive vegetation and planted with native grasses to enhance the deer population. We suggest day hikes such as Catfish Fire Tower, Van Campen's Glen, and Buttermilk Falls. Here's a list of our recommendations for hiking, fishing, and just plain old exploring: The Delaware Water Gap National Recreational Area (DWG) and nearby Walpack Fish and Wildlife Management Area in Layton have many hiking trails (See the National Park Service's website). Great areas for sightseeing, hiking, biking, fishing, hunting. Buttermilk Falls, (find the trailhead on) Mountain Road in Layton. Hike to the top of the beautiful waterfalls near Walpack and take a 6.8 mile loop trail to Crater Lake. Walpack Inn, National Park Service Rd 615, Layton. A beautiful restaurant with an entire back wall of windows with a view of the Kittatinny Valley. The Walpack is open on weekends for dinner only. Appalachian Trail (AT). Check out the AMC Mohican Outdoor Center located along the trail in Blairstown. The AT runs through the DWG. Offers hiking and sightseeing. Long Pine Pond amp; Crater Lake in Walpack. Both are spring fed and great for swimming and boating (clear water). Van Campen's Glen, Old Mine Road, Hardwick. The 2.1 mile loop trail features several cascades and waterfalls, a narrow stone valley, and a lush hemlock ravine. Catfish Fire Tower, Millbrook Road, Hardwick. A rocky 2.0 or longer 4.4 mile hike to the top of the ridge. Great views on NJ and PA. Also check out "Hiking Our Preserves" on the Ridge and Valley Conservancy's website for information on 4 local hiking trails. Delaware River- Great for swimming, boating, tubing, canoeing, fishing. Keep your eye out for Bald Eagles! White Lake - 97 Stillwater Rd. Hardwick, NJ 07825. The Paulinskill (Blairstown) and FlatBrook (Old Mine Road, Hardwick) rivers are local spots for trout fishing. On Saturdays during the summer, you may want to try out the Blairstown Farmers Market on Stillwater Road. Hours 9:30 to 1:00 pm.

We are a working blueberry and flower farm near the town of Tunkhannock, in the Endless Mountains Region of Pennsylvania. We also have nature and some fun recreational opportunities both on property and close by. On our property we have an 18 hole disc golf course (more info can be found on Udisc or Facebook page "Campsite Disc Golf"). The course has all PDGA approved chain baskets with wood chip or grass tee boxes. We are constantly upgrading the course, it gets better every year! We have some beautiful places for walks (or easy hikes) including walking the course even if you don't play disc golf....it makes for some nice clear trails through the woods. There is a 2 1/2 acre pond where you are welcome to kayak, canoe or paddleboard. A 10 acre swamp, a small creek (that does often dry up in the summer....it's beautiful in the spring), and bountiful wildlife. Nearby are many more recreational opportunities. Within driving distances varying from 5 minutes to an hour (most things within 20 minutes) are a river, two creeks, several lakes (all with public boat access, some with swimming), hiking and biking trails, wineries, brewery, restaurants, a movie theater and shopping (grocery stores and the small downtown are less than 10 minutes). We can provide more information and directions for any activities you are interested in. Our private road which leads to the areas available for camping has only one resident who lives past (with access rights to use the road to get to his property) so it is secluded with no traffic. It can be very dark on moonless nights which is fantastic for stargazing. Intrepid winter campers will find the sky is most crisp clear and incredible in the winter....but the summer is still quite spectacular. Blueberry season is all of July and spilling into August (although winding down by then). During that time the Grassy corner site is more out of the way and quieter. The Most Convenient Woods is close but separate, no one except a passing disc golfer can easily look into your site. You will hear activity in the blueberry field during the day. Possibly including a noise maker that makes a periodic boom in the mornings to keep the birds from stealing all the berries (we are looking for quieter bird scaring options for the future). We try to keep that to a minimum especially if campers are present but can't promise silence. The noise maker is turned off as soon as customers are present so it is just a little while in the morning.

The Lookout

Our property consists of 20 acres of the beautiful Blue Mountain. At the Lookout you can see for 40 Miles across the valley below. With views from Allentown, Lyons and Reading. The area with the view is a shared area for both sites. Feel free to use the fire ring while you sit and watch the evening sky. It is breathtaking at night. At the bottom of the mountain there is a Gunclub with a shooting range and you will hear shooting from the property. Please note it is far away and there is no danger Our property is mostly the mountain side. But with an area that is flat for tent camping. The property is close to Route 309 but there is a camping area away from the road. Our land is next to the road and you will hear some road noise. The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October (say 'hi' to Jim). In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. Mowed paths throughout camping section; both sunny and shady spots on both sides of stream. The lake and dock area and the boats, the gazebo, and metal fire ring and picnic tables, are communal. Parking is in a large gravel area behind cottage. Campsites are located across a small stream, easily accessible (less than a 3 min walk) from the parking area. Path immediately next to parking leads to a nice camping area alongside stream. Truck and car-top tents in the parking area may be allowed upon request. We ask that cars stay in the parking area, but there is a wheelbarrow for use in transporting your gear to the spot you choose. There is no bathroom. (Cottage is private.) You must pack it out, or bring your own portable toilet with disposable liner bags. Trash and recycling cans are provided. No shower, but the lake is great for swimming.
