We have three camp sites on a 200-acre parcel of secluded, rural farm land. We are a working pasture based farm where you can see how grass fed beef, pork, chicken, and eggs are produced. There's nothing quite like fresh eggs and bacon after waking up to the sunrise over a fog-filled valley!
When you arrive we will provide a complimentary carton of pastured raised eggs and you are welcome to visit our web site (redhouseranch . net) or store to order meats for your stay and/or to take with you upon your departure. We have a wide variety of grass fed beef, pasture raised pork, snack sticks for long hikes, and dog bones and smoked treats for your furry friends. Many of our items are well suited for campfire cooking. Keep in mind that all our products are frozen so be sure to plan for time to thaw. If you're not sure what that involves - we're here to help.
We are a working farm but, much of our property is not grazed or farmed. You are welcome to explore the entire area while also getting a glimpse of sustainable, pasture-based, farming methods. Learn more about us and the history of the farm at our website.
As you roam the hills and forests you'll eventually bump into some of our animals. Please do not enter the animal enclosures or touch any of the electrified fence lines. If you really want to pet a piggie or hold a chicken - just reach out to Ike or Dave and we will gladly arrange this for you.
Red House Ranch is also the perfect spot for wildlife enthusiasts and bird watchers. During your stay you may encounter eagles, blue herons, coyotes, turtles, wild turkeys, foxes, the endangered bobolink bird (its unique call sounds a bit like R2D2), deer, great horned owls, and many unique plants. It's not uncommon to hear the coyotes howling at night.
In addition to hiking trails with incredible views, there are four ponds on the property easily accessible with mown paths. One is very large with a dock and suitable for swimming, paddling, fishing, or just relaxing but the water. The other three are smaller and are now primarily wildlife habitat. easily accessible with mown paths
If you're feeling adventurous, there is a more strenuous hike down into the creek bed where you can find miniature versions of the gorges and waterfalls that our region is known for. We are happy to provide maps and guidance or leave you to your own devices.
When skies are clear our area has very little light pollution and excellent star visibility. It's a great place to view the night sky during a meteor shower.

If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. This camp offers a Country/Forest/Meadow/Creek setting with 4 acres is just 2 miles above SUNY Binghamton Campus on a quite road in the Town of Vestal. Set up at "Sunny Meadow" for open lawn closer to driveway and port-a-potty. Maybe you feel like hanging hammocks to setting the tent at "Creek Side" site down deeper in the forrest. The property runs from Brown Rd. to Powderhouse Rd. All 4 corners are marked with bird houses and along the property line on the North. A fire pit area with benches and lots of level space to pitch tents. Our close to nature spot offers open level lawn, rolling forest and Sugar Creek passing through. Property is lined with Blue Bird houses along with an Owl House, Bat House and a Fox Den.(Not sure what's been occupied so far.) We are building a nature preserve with song birds singing, frogs crooking and deer passing though the area. The road features some beautiful homes and ask guests to show courtesy and to be a good neighbor. Please understand that our property is in the process of removing the dying Ash Trees (Emerald Ash Borer is a problem) and ask for campers to set up near open area/driveway and not the site in the middle of the woods. We are just going to be extra cautious until our removal and re-planting process is completed.**PLEASE NOTE** Cell service is 1/4 mile at top of hill going North toward Fuller Howell Rd.

"Sugar Creek Camp" is actually in the Town of Vestal in the "Vestal Hills" at; 34 Brown Rd., Vestal,NY 13780. Just 2 miles above the SUNY Binghamton Campus. This camp offers a Country/Forest/Meadow/Creek setting with 4 acres is just 2 miles above SUNY Binghamton Campus on a quite road in the Town of Vestal. Set up at "Sunny Meadow" for open lawn closer to driveway and port-a-potty. Maybe you feel like hanging hammocks to setting the tent at "Creek Side" site down deeper in the forrest. The property runs from Brown Rd. to Powderhouse Rd. All 4 corners are marked with bird houses and along the property line on the North. A fire pit area with benches and lots of level space to pitch tents. Our close to nature spot offers open level lawn, rolling forest and Sugar Creek passing through. Property is lined with Blue Bird houses along with an Owl House, Bat House and a Fox Den.(Not sure what's been occupied so far.) We are building a nature preserve with song birds singing, frogs crooking and deer passing though the area. The road features some beautiful homes and ask guests to show courtesy and to be a good neighbor. Please understand that our property is in the process of removing the dying Ash Trees (Emerald Ash Borer is a problem) and ask for campers to set up near open area/driveway and not the site in the middle of the woods. We are just going to be extra cautious until our removal and re-planting process is completed.**PLEASE NOTE** Cell service is 1/4 mile at top of hill going North toward Fuller Howell Rd.

We spent 2 nights and had a nice stay. It was cooler weather so not many people camping, nice and quiet. Rus who manages the campground was awesome. Friendly, helpful, fun guy.
Some feedback for the Hipcamp listing, all we got was an address which lead us to a cabin a mile or so away from the actual site. We had to knock on someone’s door to get help figuring out where to go. I had messaged the host early in the day to let them know when we’d be arriving. No response.

Had such a lovely stay with Jackie and Chris. Not only were they super accommodating of our last minute booking, they moved our campsite to one safer and dryer in the weather. We spent a beautiful cozy night despite the rain, we even got to have a little fire before it got too wet! Wood bundles for purchase are large and generous. Got to meet both Chris and Jackie and felt like we'd known them for years. Highly recommend this sweet little spot-- we'll be back!!

Open field site with a lovely overlook of the river. I checked in at the main office, took the offer for their (permanent? sleeps 4-6) tent on the property, and the host even kindly helped jump start my car on my last morning as it had had some battery issues recently. Wifi available but spotty far away from the main office, I didn't have a chance to check out the bath facilities.

Our group had a great time at Fairie Tale Farms - Moondance Retreat and would highly recommend! Susan was very welcoming, showing us to our campsite and checking on us during our stay. We enjoyed walking around the property checking out the lake and watching the horses. During our stay we did a casual hike at Ricketts Glen State park and checked out a community fair.

This was our second time staying at Red House Ranch and once again we loved it. We had a wonderful weekend enjoying the beautiful views and the peaceful setting. The kids loved the swing at our site and spent most of the weekend taking turns on it. We really appreciated how accommodating Ike was and the ease of communication with him. The eggs they gave us were delicious as well. We enjoyed spending some time fishing at the pond and caught quite a few! There is something so special about this farm and we hope to come back again and again.

Beautiful property with rolling hills and farmland to take in. Nice little campsite tucked away in the back and close to the restroom. Susan was flexible with our arrival time and very kind. We had everything we needed easy to access and taken care of, only thing we ran out of is time!! Book a long stay so you can enjoy it all! 15 mins from Ricketts Glen, but plenty to enjoy camping too!

Beautiful view! Plenty of level grass for tent set up. Nice large picnic table and fire pit. Having potable water available and rustic outhouse are a huge bonus! Ike and Dave are very welcoming! Susan’s farm was a beautiful setting for our camping trip! Highly recommend. The family, including 2 boys, 5 & 7 and our chocolate lab enjoyed the secluded spacious campsite, beautiful views of the valley and stars at night while having the horses visit as our site was close the the fence line of the pasture. It was everything we needed…peace and quiet, fire pits and wood, water and a clean port a potty.

My group of 8 gals had an absolute blast camping over the Labor Day weekend on Chris & Jackie’s property. They had everything we needed - firewood, a grill, tiki torches, a portable bathroom, drinking water, and a great sink that made washing dishes so easy. Chris and Jackie were both so kind and helpful, and they answered any questions we had about the campsite and getting to the state park. Each campsite was spread out enough that we really felt like we had our own personal haven. We enjoyed campfire songs, stargazing, and of course, Chris’s cool car collection. It was a perfect way to end the summer. Thank you Chris & Jackie for everything! :)

Booked two nights with my dog and ended up staying three! The site sits on a small hill with great views of the farm and surrounding area. Even though it’s between the other two sites, it felt private — I barely noticed the other campers. The platform fit my Gazelle T3 tent perfectly, with room for a chair and dog bed.
Loved walking the farm trails with my dog, and the location is super convenient — only six minutes to Bloomsburg’s Main Street (coffee at Martha’s, tacos at Forth Taco, and Endless for books/records). Nearby hikes include the shaded Hess Trail Loop and the Railroad Trail in town, but also walking along the path next to the water in town has amazing views. I even stopped at Mays which is a few mintues from the farm and ate out back while my dog walked around the huge lawn.
All three sites are nice, but the view here really stood out. The hosts were friendly and unobtrusive, and while you’ll hear some farm noise since it’s a working farm, the vibe is peaceful and relaxing. I got to sit and read by the fire for hours each day. Saw a bunch of hawks and it was really cool how there ar birdhouses all along the fencing of the property. Hope to be back again soon to explore the area more!

This is the perfect get away from it all place. Ike and his brother Dave are incredible hosts. There if you need anything but giving you plenty of space. The farm is amazing, the views spectacular, the stars at night incredible. This is the 3rd time back for my wife and I and we intend to keep making it a yearly pilgrimage. Great place. I camped at Aspen and it was nice and quiet. Not the most secluded, you have a clear view of the house, but there is a nice shaded area to pitch a tent and the owners didn’t come near the spot at all. Electric fences around the site also put my mind at ease where bears were concerned. Definitely keep food tucked away though. We had a lovely family of raccoons eat my mothers resses cup one night
