Weekend Trip to Wilbur's Shed

As I was sitting around the fire with my wife I told her I would leave a bad review only to keep this a best kept secret. This spot is amazing, the simple fact of being away from everyone and everything is wonderful. Having our two dogs and kids both be able to run free without any worries of nearby campers or stranger and busy roads brings a whole level of stress relief that people with dogs and kids can truly appreciate while camping here. The amenities that are on site are very nice from power hookups to a portajohn, along with other small items such as cooking forks and potable water in jugs really assist in making camp easy. For those who are nervous about the drive into the site I’ll say this follow the mile markers from the major intersections and it will put you just about on par with the driveway. The drive up to the site has a couple small washouts that anyone in a modest clearance vehicle can traverse, and no I don’t mean corvettes or lowered vehicles you will be in trouble. But is like to think with some basic skill, a stock sedan could make it up there and suv/truck no problem. I will definitely be planning on coming back again and maybe for a longer trip with friends hopefully after such a great experience.

Weekend Trip to Conowingo Creek Campsite

Absolutely perfect little site. We are experienced campers and usually do our own tent/grill/chairs and so on, but really enjoyed taking an easier route to set up this time and got to focus more of our time on the best parts of camping! There is some ambient noise from the surrounding farms and roadways, but the overall enjoyment of the site made us forget about it quickly. The easy walk to the creek was a fun way to spend some time, and our dogs loved romping in the water. Our hosts were gracious and communicated perfectly. We are already planning to come back again!

2 nights at Conowingo Creek Campsite

From the moment we arrived, we knew this campsite was something special. The tent was absolutely perfect. It was spacious, clean, and incredibly cozy. The bed was so comfortable, we slept like logs each night under the stars. Some of our favorite memories were made cooking dinner and chatting around the fire with my daughters. There’s something so grounding about sharing stories under a canopy of trees, the flames crackling and laughter echoing into the night. We also loved the peaceful walks to the nearby creek. It was such a beautiful, tranquil spot. It became our little escape, where we could splash, explore, or simply sit and enjoy the serenity. This was a memory-making experience that we’ll carry with us forever. Highly, highly recommend!

Weekend Trip to The Creekside at Goat Hill

Owner was great meeting us as we arrived and walked us to the site; explained the surrounding area and unique features (like the creek, swimming hole, etc). Site is rustic and it’s a few min walk to the site through a field. Rained heavy but the structure cover and tent cover kept us dry. If you’re ok with rustic farm, try it out.

Weekend Trip to Spyglass Ridge Winery

Place is laid back and relaxed. Tom is very friendly and personable. We stayed down by the pond which had full electric. The restaurant is beautiful and the food was excellent as was the wine. We would definitely return.

Weekend Trip to Little Mahanoy Creek Campground

Cute little riverside cabin. Just loved it here. Plenty of firewood on site and easy to find with the directions. 15 mins away from my favorite winery and food at spyglass ridge. I will definitely stay again next winery trip.

Weekend Trip to Solace Cabinette

Recently had a great 2 night weekend stay! The cabin is like the pictures showed. It was a little chilly on the first night due to rain. Glad I was prepared and brung blankets & Karen had plenty of blankets on bed to help with that as well. Also had access to bathroom at the B&B if needed. No electricity as stated in the cabin, it wasn't bad at all. We had our own camping light. Me and husband really enjoyed our stay. It felt like you were in your own secluded world of your own and it was quiet, pleasant, and enjoyable. Definitely would visit again. Cabin was great. Thanks Karen for a much needed stay!

3 nights at Fiddlers Green Farm

We had an awesome time. We stayed on the bear creek side and it was better then we thought. Very clean and plenty of wood. The owner treated us to an unexpected "bonfire". Lol.. lol. We were able to relax near the creek and set up the tents just 20 ft from the creeks edge. Hopper(the dog) was cool too, he checked on us a few times. The owner was great, very responsive, very laid back, very cool. We will definitely book again. And most importantly, the bathroom was super clean and toilet paper and wet wipes stocked.

Weekend Trip to Circle S Farm Camping

We love this spot for a stop on our roadtrips. The view of the sky, waving grass, and horse are beautiful. It is conveniently located but still quiet. The port-a-potty is super clean.

Weekend Trip to Creekside Orchard

We had a great time at site #2 Bywater. It was a beautiful spot next to the creek. We nestled our tent into the bamboo alcove and had plenty of privacy. We will definitely stay here again!

Weekend Trip to Fairview Farms Airfield

I never wanted to leave the Treehouse! I was actually surprised at how comfortable and cozy it was! I booked this weekend getaway to decompress and refill my cup. I certainly chose the right place to do those things! The property is absolutely gorgeous and very well cared for! As are all of the incredible animals! The views are spectacular, no matter where you look! The farm is in close proximity to gas stations, stores, restuarants and many different activities, but you really don't even need to leave the farm to have a great time! Thank you for a magnificent stay! Can't wait to return!

We enjoyed camping at Old Soul Farm! Catherine was very responsive. We camped at the point and highly recommend it. Very peaceful and feels isolated even with the close proximity to all that Gettysburg has to offer. Would definitely stay again!

The perfect place to get away from everything for a few days. Its close enough to everything to get last minute items, and yet private enough to feel cozy and safe. I love this place and will be back again!

My family of four adults had a short but wonderful stay at Conowingo Creek! Gini was a terrific host and very accomodating when we had to modify our schedule. Everything about the site was beautifully and thoughtfully considered and executed, and it was very clear that Gini and her husband put a lot of effort into making each visit special. The loft bed was a little tricky to get in and out of as an adult, but it was comfortable once up there and I was able to sit up without hitting my head on the roof. The twinkle lights were a nice touch! Warm with the afternoon sun but cooled off nicely for sleeping (end of April). Very cool property!

We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. Note: For the winter months we are closed, we reopen in march. The furthest we are open at any given moment is about six months. We close when hunting season comes in during the fall. Description of camp: This is not a glampsite! There are limited utilities here. No Drinking water, just water for the fire. There is a self serve firewood store, you may also forage dead wood. Here only one group may camp at a time. The campsite is a big level hilltop clearing surrounded by acres of woods. There is stone driveway that leads to the site that gets you back into the woods. The driveway is wide enough for trucks, trailers, vans, etc. Since the site is up high it gets a great breeze which helps on warm days and gets good cell service. The campsite gets great sun and has shaded areas along the sides that make for good tent pitching. We have had people set up hammocks, tents, tarps, or camp in their vehicle. We provide a privy (outhouse), an outdoor showerroom/changing room, picnic tables, and a metal fire pit with grill rack that you can put in the fire pit if you wish to cook/grill over it. The woods are hilly so biking is not recomended. On the property we have 2+ miles of hiking trails. PLEASE feel free to contact us for any questions. Also please look at our pictures for a better idea of what we offer. Nearby Activities: A short drive from here will take you to Gettysburg, York, or Hanover. Little Mahanoy Creek Campground

There are 3 campsites located in the gap of the little Mahanoy Mountain and line Mountain range along the little Mahanoy creek. All four campsites have creek access and come with picnic table garbage can and fire ring and Firewood is usually available. There are two Porta potty‘s one located at each end of the sites. There are trails for hiking which extends along an abandoned railroad bed and also up into State game lands and into the deep woods. The hiking in the woods is on an incline. But the hiking on the railroad bed is pretty unintense. There is parking at each site. The sites are spread out along the creek bed ranging from more of a rustic primitive tent camping on site 4 to an open site on site 1.

Welcome to our fifth generation, mini-valley, woodland, and rolling hills. Empty Cupboard Farm has been family owned since 1918. It is presently planted in soy and corn. Wildlife abounds, including deer, small mammals, and geese. Bald eagles and Heron even take a pond dip periodically. Woodland trails are accessible and new tree plantings can be observed. We welcome RVs under 30'. It will be too hilly for anything longer. (Be aware: inclement weather is not your friend here if your vehicle can't handle potentially slippery conditions.) Enjoy the following activities: Mountain biking, pedal onlyPond fishing. (Sorry, no swimming in the pond; but an "An open to the public", private pool is 13 miles/20min. As is the Y. Lawn games and a fire pit are available. So are the stars at night; cloud permitting. Consider the free star gazing app, SkyView Lite, even in the day and under clouds. Don't miss our stunning sunsets at the "Red Door," our entrance. Historical towns within 10 miles any direction are reached over rolling countryside. Gettysburg is less than 20 miles. Baltimore is less than an hours ride by open highway. Blue Ridge mountains 18 miles. Taneytown, 1836, has an extraordinary antique store that is a delight to browse; as well as fine dining, drive through, an open air beer garden and close by grocery stores. Homemade ice cream is found at Baugher's and Hoffmans in Westminster. Baugher's Orchard has "pick your own" available. There is a mini farm animal petting zoo at the orchard.
