The River's Edge campsites sit on the shoreline of the Delaware River at the western edge of New York State overlooking the mountains of Pennsylvania. Our canvas tents and open air platforms perch between the river and the former Delaware & Hudson Canal which was once was used to transport raw goods by barge to New York City via the 'port' of Port Jervis. The remnants of the canal walls are throughout the property including a 300 person theater which we created to both preserve and feature this industrial history. It also makes a great place for an event or a movie night. Today, the original canal towpath, along which barges would be pulled and floated downstream, is a trail that links all of the campsites over 5 acres and at the furthest end an eel fishing camp that is in operation from June to October. In the early 1900s, the train replaced the canal as the primary method of moving goods into New York and if you are lucky — you will hear the train rumble by along the river on the Pennsylvania side. There is something spectacular in the absolute still and grandness of the river, the mountains and the ongoing industrial history of the valley. It is a reminder of the way things used to be. The farmhouse and cabins are located opposite the campsites on other side of route 97. Next to them are 50 acres of wild forest to hike and explore. These accommodations are great for guests who want more amenities but still with easy access to river. Pair campsites and cabins so that all your guests have their best experience. Contact us to coordinate for larger group bookings. Please note that a significant portion of county tax/fees and cancellation or change fees may be avoided by booking the base amount of people (4) and at a much later date adding extra guests. We don't sell fuel or offer services beyond camping so we primarily have only air traffic with few to no landings each year. The beautiful sunsets and stargazing night skies are a real treat for anyone that comes to visit. Lots of deer, birds, and other wildlife can be seen out and about. Bring your telescope and binoculars to view all the property has to offer! Note that we are always working to improve our slice of heaven, thus we do have tools, vehicles, and equipment stored around the farm that if not used now will be one day. We appreciate your understanding that some areas are used for our personal / farm storage. If you're not into looking at our farmware, there are a few nearby campgrounds. The history of the Pump House began in 1878, when three ambitious men hatched a plan for the world's first long-distance underground oil pipeline which would transport oil from well to refinery more quickly and efficiently than the horse-drawn wagons of the time. Pumping stations were needed every fifty miles along this long route to keep pressure on the pipeline so that the oil could reach its destination. Pump House Bed and Breakfast is one of the only properties in the country in which the both the original homes of the foremen and the large brick buildings remain. Doug, owner, has spent more than 20 years lovingly restoring these foreman houses as well as the large industrial brick buildings. The Brick Barn Hall once housed steam pumps to pressurize the pipe and keep the oil moving, and the Catawissa Cabin behind it served as the telegraph office. The Studio Hall contained boilers that produced the steam to power the pumps, while the adjoining Studio Cabin functioned as a blacksmith's workspace. Today, the buildings function as reception spaces for weddings and other special events, and house private suites as well as an art studio where Doug pursues his work and teaches drawing, ceramics, and stained glass classes. We are a suburban oasis, surrounded by a little bit of everything. Our homestead has plenty of activity including kids, dogs, chickens, and bees! We have a fully wooded area available to explore across the creek, and weather dependent- the creek is a great place to stay cool. You'll see lots of growing fruit trees in our developing orchard and we are happy to share our vision for this beautiful land! We have two campsites available for you to choose between for your stay. Both sites are along the creek, however, one has a view of some nearby houses and is a short walk to the parking spot [Creekside]. The other site is more secluded, past the tree line, but a further walk from where you are able to park. [Hillside] If needed, we are happy to lend you a wagon to haul your gear. Our family campground is open, now with over 130 sites and is currently being expanded, to add more deluxe back-in and pull-thru sites! Our campground and cabin rentals are available year-round and all of our RV sites are full hookup sites! Come and enjoy a getaway while enjoying our 63 acres, 10-acre lake, great fishing, playground, weekend activities, and kayaking/paddle boating! "The Nest" presents a secluded cabin nestled along Tionesta Creek, situated in the heart of Allegheny National Forest. Offering complete privacy and serenity, this retreat boasts no visible neighbors, allowing guests to unwind amidst the tranquil sounds of nature and the babbling creek. With breathtaking views from every angle, visitors can anticipate sightings of eagles, blue heron, black bear, and other wildlife while savoring morning coffee on the deck. Additionally, guests have access to two kayaks to enhance their stay. The cabin comfortably accommodates five guests and features a full bathroom equipped with an off-grid water system, ensuring continuous access to hot water. Parking for The Nest is along the widened shoulder of Route 666. From the parking spot, an approximately 100 ft lightly sloped dirt foot path with stairs leads to the cabin. Nominal amount of firewood is provided for every guest.

I cannot say enough good things about Cozy Embers Campground & Cabins! We stayed here recently and were blown away by how much care the owners and staff put into the place. It is so clean, the sites are spacious, and it is the perfect launchpad for hiking the Allegheny National Forest. The new upgrades and amenities make it so comfortable and it's so close to the reservoir. Such a gem in Bradford, PA. We will definitely be back!

Our stay at Cozy Embers was absolutely wonderful! The cabin was cozy and surrounded by beautiful woods, making it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Jessica and Scott were exceptional hosts. From the moment we arrived, they made us feel so welcome and truly went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. They checked in with us every day to make sure we were comfortable and had everything we needed, which was such a thoughtful touch. The bathrooms were clean & well-maintained. It was clear that they take great pride in keeping the property in excellent condition. We especially appreciated the peaceful atmosphere. If you're looking for a quiet getaway with warm, caring hosts, I can't recommend Cozy Embers enough. Thank you, Jessica and Scott, for your incredible hospitality. Weekend Trip to The River's Edge

When we arrived at the campsite, they had set up everything beautifully. We started putting up our tent, while some of our friends started grilling and others made rice over the fire pit. There were 11 of us in total. While we were having a snack, it started to thunder and lighten. And then, the rain and heavy winds started. The storm hit so hard that all our tents were blown away, and huge trees were falling down on both sides. All of us sheltered in a pop-up canopy, but that one blew away too. We were all screaming, scared, and didn't know what to do. A half-broken tree was hanging right above our car. Luckily, we were able to move our cars. However, the roads were blocked by big trees, so we couldn’t leave. The host came to see us, and we told him everything that had happened. He cleared the road right away. The host gave us some options: if we leave they would refund us, but if we stayed, they would clear everything up. We decided to stay because most of the guys had been drinking, so even if we left, it wouldn't be safe to drive. We asked if there was another spot with an open space because we didn't want to stay in the same place. The host and a lady came over—we unfortunately forgot to ask her name. She showed us a big, open area where her kids usually play. They set up five new tents with air mattresses for us. They really did everything they could to help. They had even made a new fire pit, put chairs all around it, and got us a propane grill with an extra tank

The land was beautiful and very peaceful up in the second tier of RV sites. We had ample shade and some great views out down the hillside. We saw a lot of deer and the hiking trails looked very enticing (timing didn't allow much exploration).

This place is a slice of heaven! I stayed here two nights with my girlfriend and we had an amazing, relaxing time, dipping in the river and watching the wildlife. Thomas set us up with everything we needed, the tent and bed were comfy, the commode was clean, and it was simply perfect. Will definitely take another trip there in the future!

The view of the river captures everyone’s vision of a peaceful nature scape. Site was wide and clean. Nieghbors were extremely nice and helpful. For those self sufficient individuals not needing tons of things to do it was great. Local store filled in with what was needed. Only downside was the limited WiFi which only covered the parking lot. Will be returning in the fall to see the autumn colors.

Very secluded little peninsula with two tent camping sites on the river. Lots of open room. Bathrooms and showers are spotless! If you ever get the opportunity to rent both sites, do it. There's a very cool story to the place.
