Enjoy the private back acre of our 2-acre parcel. RV parking is separated from the main house by a barn and Morton building. Set up camp overlooking what used to be a grassy yard, but is now a walkable wildflower meadow. Enjoy the meadow paths and entire property's yard. Pets are welcome, but must be leashed at all times - our dog is friendly, but will also be leashed when outside.
The house and barn were built in the late 1800s and are currently being restored. There will be no construction activity during your stay, but there may be assorted projects in process visible near buildings. Please do not enter buildings unless accompanied by a property owner.
Many restaurants, breweries, distilleries and parks are just minutes away in Bellefonte! When visiting them, we recommend going straight out of our driveway onto Clemens instead of turning right onto Valentine Hill. Valentine has tight turns that are a challenge to navigate in an RV or with a trailer.

The camp sites on our farm are dry (for now) but we DO have a toilet that is cleaned regularly right by the sites. We have three leveled gravel RV/Camper spots, which are large compared to most campgrounds. The sites are pull through for most RVs and Trailers. We provide fire rings but no wood. Our farm is an operational farm with livestock and you will be camping right by our horse pasture. Our location is convenient. We are right off of I-81 and State route 22. Minutes from Hersheypark, Hollywood Casino and Penn National Race Course, The PA Renaissance Faire, as well as Ft. Indiantown Gap and Memorial Lake State Park. If you are a hiker, the Appalachian Trail is minutes from our farm. Our sites are easy access off the main road. We are in a friendly agricultural neighborhood with very little traffic or noise other than the light hum of I-81 in the distance. Wildlife is plentiful in our area and you can hike from our farm to Levitz Community Park (or drive if you prefer) to interact some great nature or have a picnic. Greene Kitchen Farm has been farmed by the Greene family since 2013. If you step back in time a few owners, the Kitchen family with 8 boys and a girl farmed the land that surrounds the little tributary to Montour Run. The Greenes have been pasturing the majority of the land in nature's image with an eye toward biomimicry and an agro-forestal, savannah landscape. The herbivores pulse through the landscape with flocks of birds following them.
Since the livestock have been fenced out of the creek, a little jewel of a wildlife refuge traverses the farm from northwest to southeast. This riparian zones shades the creek, protects the water quality, and provides great habitat for coyotes, minks, eagles, white-tailed deer, groundhogs, hawks, squirrels, woodcock, and a variety of songbirds. This is not Alaska, but it is not a KOA campground, either. We recommend you print of bring a paper map. Your GPS will not bring you to the exact driveway location. You need to be personally observant.
This is the top of a mountain ridge. The access lane is steep, rocky, and has water erosion ditches you must drive over. Do not attempt this if you have a low profile car or a new/fragile camper. 4WD/AWD is highly recommended. Low profile and fancy cars are not recommended. This camping site is for those who want to live ruggedly like Lewis Clark. To see the water ditches you must drive over, go to YouTube and search "Wilbur's Shed - Blairs Mills", and it is the account of a cat with a white face.
This location is in a mix of farmland and mountain Appalachia. You will see common species such as chipmunks, squirrels turkey and deer. Many bird species. There are also porcupines, skunks, and black snakes around. You may also see black bear - it is rare, but possible. You are visiting wildlife species in their natural habitat. Please be self-aware of your own level comfort with wildlife. Once again, this is not an RVs park where you will socialize with a hundred other campers. This is primitive and isolated. This is an ideal camping spot if you want to escape from people.
Nearby is the Tuscarora Creek which is excellent for trout fishing. The Tuscarora has a small but lovely window for kayaking from mid-March through the end of May. Please contact the host if you would like help to plan some paddle logistics.
Rental through Hipcamp does not include hunting or the use of firearms, nor the use of dirt bikes and ATVs.

Wow, what a great campsite and wonderful hosts! This is a truly special spot set on beautiful farmland, complete with a peaceful stream, a blueberry patch, and an amazing variety of birds. One of the coolest features was the fresh vegetable garden surrounding the campsite, which added so much charm and character to the experience. The setting was quiet, scenic, and relaxing—perfect for anyone looking to enjoy nature and unwind. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and will gladly return.

My wife and I stayed for a three-day weekend getaway. The space was exactly as described. There are two neighbors on either side but honestly we never seen either neighbor the entire stay. The area is beautiful, peaceful, and very relaxing. There is a very busy frieght train track a few hundred yards from the site. It was slightly annoying at first. But honestly, it really didn't bother us. There is a very nice fire ring and picnic table on location. The owner provided plenty firewood. The site was level and easy to access. I did a full day Kayak trip (5-6hrs). Put the Kayak in at the free McVeytown boat ramp and floated right to the sight. The Juniata river was beautiful and fishing we pretty good( 4-5 fall fish and about a dozen decent sized smallies.). Just be warned removing the Kayak was a little tricky, you have to pull/carry it up a pretty steep bank with a small set of metal steps. But totally worth it! Ben was a great host and rapidly answered any questions we had. We will be back many more times and would recommend it for anyone looking to relax with a beautiful view the the river.

We stayed here for our last third time.As always a great location to bike Pine Creek trail but this time we forgot out bike batteries and our host gave us some revommendatiins to see a great Amish greenhouse and ended up visiting sever other Amush businesses in the area. Just a great place to relax and recover. They also gave some great advuse for fishing up thr nearby creeks. Will be back to fish soon!

The whole experience could not have gone better. The site is near the road, which is convenient, but still secluded.
It is well kept and has everything you need. The water, septic and electric are all newer and easy access.
The owner, Kevin, made a point to stop by and introduce himself.

We enjoyed our stay. Fire on the rocks trail run brought us to the area needing a place to stay. We found all we need at pear tree cove and some much needed peace and quiet! Pear Cove is a great place to stay. We have stayed several times to watch our daughter’s final season playing soccer for a local college. We have always had a great time with no issues. The pad is as nice as you will find with newly poured concrete and equally new full hookups. The pad is the perfect size for our 30ft class A. It is a quiet location in the country but only 10 minutes to Lock Haven University and any amenities you may need. The hosts are also awesome people that make sure all is as it should be. We highly recommend this location.

We love staying at Pear Tree as its so close to our favorite bike trail, Pine Creek Trail. Has a lot of experiences nearby such as Elk Country and fall leaf viewing. Its provides he best thought out and improved pad for our trailer and has a little fegetable garden that you can pick from. Great for Starlink and the hosts are great.

This place is amazing! Large gravel loop, full hookups, free firewood! And a large yard for kids and dogs to run and play. There is Whipple Dam State Park just 2 miles down the road with a beach, hiking, and kayaking. Kevin is so nice. Warning, if you arrive after dark, ask Kevin to meet you as it is hard to see at night.

We came back for another stay at Riverside RV Camper Site, and it was just as peaceful and relaxing as we remembered. We enjoyed daily walks along the rarely traveled road that winds along the river. Evenings were spent relaxing by the fire watching the trains off in the distance.
It’s a great location for exploring nearby towns like Belleville, Reedsville, and Lewistown, all offering great little shops, restaurants, and local attractions.
The campground itself remains clean, quiet, and well-kept. If you’re looking for a relaxing place to stay with easy access to small-town charm and scenic views, Riverside RV is a wonderful choice.
