Whether you’re a seasoned camper or new to the experience, our tent camping provides an ideal escape into the beauty of the Oregon Coast.
It is your responsibility to make sure that your RV and/or vehicle
fit within the site you reserved.
We provide you with the RV space size and which pull-outs are allowed per site.
Please make the reservation under the name of the person staying in that site.
(It is by law that we keep records of the license plate and name of people staying at our establishment.)
Cancellation & Reservation Policies
*(any changes to your reservation arrival &/or departure date must be made two weeks prior to arrival to avoid any extra fees.
At the time of reservation, 50% of your total stay will be charged as a deposit.
The remaining balance is due on your arrival date.
One-night stays are paid in full.
CANCELLATIONS
Reservations must be cancelled 2 weeks prior to your arrival date. Cancellations made within 2 weeks of your arrival date are non-refundable.
Tents: The Retreat at Cannon Beach has a limit of 1 tent per site. Campers with multiple tents will be charged the full amount of another tent site per tent. (We value open space between sleeping units and the privacy of the neighboring guests). All vans, campers, RVs and trailers must be on an RV site regardless of size unless approved by management.
Cabins: The Retreat at Cannon Beach will provide you with a clean cabin when you check-in. A cleaning fee is included in the reservation. If after your departure the cabin requires replacement of broken appliances, missing items or extra cleaning, your credit card on file will be charged accordingly. Pets are allowed in our cabins with an additional $25 fee per night.
RV Sites: All sites are for 1 sleeping unit. No additional trailers or tents are allowed.
Other:You authorize The Retreat at Cannon Beach to charge your credit card for any property damages caused by you during your stay. Chopping trees, tables, log borders or any other activity that may damage property is not allowed. Failure to comply with these terms may result in a $300 fine.
We do have overflow parking here in the campground, additional fees may apply, please contact the office for more details. We provide the site measurements; however, you are responsible for making sure any/all rigs fit within the site you have reserved.
At check-in, the guest names, occupants, pets &/or vehicles in the party must match the information on the reservation. If any changes are needed, they must be made at the time of check-in. Failure to do so could result in additional fees.
Check in time for tents and RV sites is any time after 1:30 pm. Check in time for the cabins is 3 pm. After hours cabin check-in arrangements must be made before the office closes.
Check-out time is at 12:00 pm for RVs/Tents and at
11:00 am for Cabins.
No aggressive animals are allowed. All pets must be on a leash and you must pick up their waste. Doggie bags are provided throughout the resort.

ADD ONS TO POLICY
1. Each site accommodates one sleeping unit and one vehicle. If the sleeping unit is on the vehicle, it is considered to be one sleeping unit and one tent. Any additional vehicles and/or sleeping units are an additional fee.
2. Paying for an additional tent and/or vehicle does not automatically mean that the site will accommodate the additional tent/vehicle. You will need to contact the office to determine if your reserved site has the available space for an additional tent and/or vehicle.
3. If you have not checked out of your site by fifteen minutes after the check out time, you will be charged a late departure fee.
4. If you leave your site trashed, including pet excrements, you will be charged a fee.
5. There is a pet fee of $5.00 per pet, per night. If your dog is not on a leash, you may be charged an additional fee for each time that your pet is found to not be on a leash.
6. If you reserve a site within the two-week cancellation policy, you will not receive a refund if you need to cancel.
7. If you fail to check in for your reservation for the first night, your site will be opened back up for reservation at noon the following day, unless you contact the office to notify the staff you plan to arrive.
8. If you bring a trailer of any kind into the campground with your vehicle, you will be charged, as there is not room in most sites for trailers.
9. Additional vehicles and trailers are an additional $10.00 per night.
10. Cannon Beach ordinance restricts any loud noise from the hours of 10 p.m. to 8:00 a.m. the next day.
11. We have partial hook-up sites and full-hook up sites. If you are in a partial hook-up site and need to dump, there is a dump station available, but there is a $15.00 dump fee.
12. Cancellation Fee of $25 is applied if prior to 14 days before reservation.
13. Non-campers on site, must be reported to the office staff. They are not permitted to park their vehicle in your spot, even if there is room, without paying a parking fee of $25.00 per day.

Sometimes our beach is large, some years it's small. Access to beach changes as well. There is a steep decline to the beach in 2026, but the beach is much larger this year than last!
Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock. A day trip to Mt St Helens is very possible.
Two full hookup sites are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well.
Horses are welcome on the property, we are looking at building a corral in the near future. We also welcome leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river only, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals!
Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available.
We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits in our gravel fire pits during burn bans. We follow the Cowlitz County ban, July 15-Sept 30.
We also have a community fire pit for our dry campers (or large groups) called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area. It's located in the middle of the loop.
Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed for transport of gear to/from the river and also for those with mobile disabilities or difficulties. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly.
Please note: we will no longer refund due to poor weather. Hipcamp offers insurance for this.
No fireworks allowed.
*During Independence day celebrations, our neighbors usually participate with fireworks though. Be aware it can be loud.

We have a 1/2 acre property on the Cowlitz River in the middle of Cooks Ferry Park in Castle Rock WA. We bought the property to relax in a beautiful setting close to home. We only live 15 minutes away.
The property is made up of dredge spoils from when Mt. Saint Helens blew and is inside of a park where people can go to fish and enjoy the river. There are only 8 lots privately owned and we are the first lot that you come to.
There is plenty of room for an RV. Guests can also tent camp or stay in our shack that has a sleeper sofa. There are snacks, a sign in book, an axe, briquets, a fire extinguisher, and other items the shack. There is a picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and wood stove. There is a porta potty on the property.
We value your privacy. We do have cameras on the property that are on when no one is there. Once a Hipcamper arrives at the property, they are turned off. We also keep our travel trailer there to enjoy when we can. We will never be there camping when you are there. In the summer, we sometimes kayak. We put in upriver and get out at the property. If it is booked at that time, we will always check first to see if it is okay for us to get out there.
If you continue going past our property, there are some nice rock beaches with pretty views. People fish there and wade in the water in the summer.
Castle Rock is a cute little town with some nice shops, restaurants and bars. I recommend checking it out!
We are not picky about check in/check out time. It would only matter if someone else was checking in the day you are checking out. Please ask if you expect to arrive earlier or want to check out later.

Tucked Away Retreat evolved from empty acreage to an easy retreat from the city and an opportunity to share our love of the rural life. Located in the Chapman area of Scappoose, this area is rich in logging history; the Crown Zellerbach trail is an old logging road and now an 18 mile hiking/biking "story board" of the life and culture of both the Native American Indians that lived in the area and the evolution of logging. Just over the peak of the CZ trail (which is approximately 3 miles from our property) is an old mine, just one example of many hidden areas to explore. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States.
Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan frisbee-golf course, or just relax. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy Park.
The B side is on gravel on the upper drive and is shaded most of the day. This site is best suited for camper vans, truck campers or small trailers due to trees along the back curve of the driveway. Large trailers/RV's and motorhomes will fit but you may need to back in.
The B side is backed by our private, small shop. It is adjacent to our tiny house, with a privacy fence separating the two areas. The site has water, power and septic hook ups. There is also WiFi, although it can be spotty inside your trailer.
The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge.
Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We will consider an exception if you have a RV/trailer and kids who want to sleep in a tent. Please reach out to us prior to booking for this exception.
We do not allow "shower" tents.
Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone.
These sites are on our private property. We live onsite but the B side and tiny house are situated facing away from our main home. Please reach out with any questions.

Enjoy the beauty of Goble Creek. This site is 2 acres there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Located in Rose Valley (Kelso) Washington off of South Goble Creek Road. It is in a rural neighborhood and a road runs above the property so there may be some minimal car noise.
Please be aware that because we are in a rural residential area, MANY people have private shooting ranges. Gun fire may be heard periodically as people prepare for hunting season etc. NO ranges are on the property or directed toward the property in any capacity.

My new favorite site for so many reasons !!
First of all…..the drive from Portland was breathtaking!, so relaxing and picturesque! Hope’s directions were perfect, I love that it was a pull thru site and saw the “Otter Cove” sign right away!
So many pluses about this place ..from the water , and wood onsite for no extra fee is really unheard of!
And they also let you borrow a kayak and life vests! SO GENEROUS! Hope was also very responsive and even though it was a solo camping trip , I felt safe and welcomed ! My only regret is that I didn’t get to meet Hope, it was a such a short trip! I can’t wait to go back for more nights!

We had a really nice stay at J Squared River Ranch. It was quiet and felt private, even though we could see some of the other campsites. The sites were spaced far enough apart that we never felt crowded.
There was some traffic noise, but for us that was a reasonable tradeoff for being closer to town, stores, and other conveniences. We also enjoyed walking down to the river and taking a walk along the water.
Overall, it was a peaceful and comfortable place to camp, and we would definitely stay here again.

This was a beautiful site very easy to pull into the river was nice and easy to walk to the river edge is a sandy beach nice place to put your feet in. Lots of space between campsites was kept nice and clean. And the garbage was picked up regularly and the out house was nice and clean.
And Tami and Greg were wonderful. Definitely will be back soon.

Loved camping at Tyler's place. I learned a bit about the history of the site and how each site got it's name. We camped with family from Tacoma and this was the perfect halfway point for all of us.
Our site was level and hook ups were easy. We definitely will be back for family camping trips.

This is a beautiful property! We were able to find a last minute weekend getaway. So glad we did! This is a fisher's campground, so if you enjoy fishing, you can throw a line in the river from your campsite. It is close enough to Long Beach to be able to get to the coast. The wildlife refuges along the way are gorgeous. The campsite host is amazing and made us feel welcome.

We enjoyed our time at this Rv campsite! Yes the spaces were close to each other as mentioned. However, staff was very friendly, it was about a .3 mile walk to a gorgeous beach, there was a rec room with some games and puzzles that we enjoyed, and other amenities like a place to clean fish. The full hook ups were great, too. A very short drive (20) to Cape Disappointment which was not disappointing at all :)
