The site is gravel so you may need to level your rig. We have a fantastic outdoor area complete with couch, loungers, BBQ and fire pit. The high desert offers some of the most amazing views of the Cascade Mountains with clear blue skies and some of the best star gazing around. Casa del Lago is a dark sky site. There is a fantastic view of Mount Jefferson from the couch and the sunsets are absolutely beautiful. During the Summer we usually enjoy beautiful sunny days and cool comfortable nights. You can hang out down at the lake and find a spot on the beach to have a picnic. You can also bring your boat or rent one at the Cove Palisades Marina and enjoy water sports. Hosts live in house on property. We are located 4 miles from the lake and are nestled in a rural country neighborhood.

Zach was easy to communicate with, understood my needs for immune precautions, and got me quickly set up with everything I needed to know to be comfortable in the space. It was easy to find, convenient for errands in town, but away from the busy-ness. I didn’t end up staying overnight due to a personal issue that changed my plans but would recommend for others. You’ll definitely want an extension cord and water hose on the longer side for this spot, especially if you have a larger rig or opt to back in. Thanks for hosting!

This was such a beautiful and serene little place! There are multiple little areas for campers but we happened to have the place all to ourselves which is just how I’d prefer it. We had our camper but we could have shown up with nothing but our tents, blankets, clothes and food. There are camping supplies, soft lighting, comfortable outdoor furniture, a clean porta potty, clean outdoor shower (with instant hot water!), an outdoor sink with running water, shade and privacy. Even though the major Flat fire was right next to us and we lost water for a bit, it was one of my most favorite camping trips! We were right near Lake Billy Chinook & Three Rivers and a little store/gas station. Susan is the best host! She is so kind and responsive and it’s apparent she takes great pride in the look and care of this magical little place. We will definitely be back!

We went to Redmond to attend the Fairwell Music Festival. Kristen’s setup was perfect. The location was quiet and easy to get in and out. We had our two small dogs with us and it was really nice to be able to walk them around the farm. We used this location to visit a number of sites around the area. We made a trip to Crater Lake National Park and it was well worth the couple hours drive. We definitely would recommend this location to others and hope to come back again for another stay.

Susan is a such a considerate host. . She provided many amenities to ensure a comfortable, relaxing stay. (Shower, cleanest port-o-potty I’ve ever seen!, outdoor kitchen and cozy lounge area, picnic tables, etc). I was surprised at how private it felt, considering we were staying in someone’s yard! The Mountain View and surrounding parks are beautiful.

We had a great time at Susan’s campsite- it was so thoughtfully set up! In addition to a tent site there was a large with a grill, couch, games, and cooking amenities that we had all to ourselves. She even brought out a mini kid pool for our 2 year old and dog! Bathroom and outdoor shower were clean. Beautiful surrounding and stargazing at night. Also only a short drive to the lake. Highly recommend!

Fantastic stay!! We had a wonderful time on Rick and Kristen's property. Loved the gated approach. Close to town for convenience but far enough to country. Our RV site was clean with full hookups ups and Rick even asked if i needed to borrow a 50A to 30A converter, which i did. Well manicured and these two are always working so hard for their guests! We felt blessed to find this stay!

Or take the Canal Trail West through the massive 123+ acres of forested public land that connects directly to the Deschutes River Trail (only 4 mins away). I have quit doing that for a variety of reasons, the least being the cost and the work for me. I am encouraging everyone to purchase a Propane Fire Pit if you don't have one by now. I am not to the point yet of saying no big dogs. Talk to me if you think your "big dog" might not fit in. I don't like them running thru other campers sites, so just be respectful. Take them for walks along the lake.. No Yappers, no barking dogs, no pain in the butts. Why would you drive by 46 grocery stores and forget to bring ice? No loud music. I have changed quiet time to 9:00 PM. If you need to listen to the chaos/stressful music I suggest you start a band or become a DJ. What I want folks to get out of being here, whether they are camping or staying in the Gers is just to “take a break”. Relax, appreciate, assess and just listen. I hope what you hear is the sound of life and of course all the Angels that make up this special piece of Heaven. Then there is the silence. The best part of “Heaven”.

This 320 acre plot of land on which you can hike anywhere has been in our family since 1993. Large, graveled spot for tents or two vehicles with excellent view for miles and miles and night star gazing. Primitive outhouse. Juniper forest with sage brush... basically high desert vegetation. We only allow one reservation per night. You can arrange vehicles or tents to not be in view or block any view from house way above. 320 acres to hike and roam. Mitchell is 10 miles away with well stocked grocery and feed store, restaurants, small brewery, and tire shop. We give directions fairly quickly. Road is wide, but steep at top. 4 wheel drive is recommended. Very close to the Painted Hills Unit of the John Day Fossil Beds National monument, Ochoco National Forest is seven miles. John Day River for swimming, rafting about 20 minutes. If you can book, it means you can drive on up with out contacting us.  As you drive in if at night, you will see a light on the outhouse.
