Electrical hook-up is available for an RV/trailer on the front of the shop building and to the south of the shop on the post. Dry-camping only - no sewage, septic or water hookup is available. 50 amp circuit.
Privacy is not guaranteed. The shop is utilized daily by our family and friends. So, there might be a few visitors throughout the day in the shop.

We relocated to Redmond and LOVE being here! It has allowed us the opportunity to enjoy everything Central Oregon has to offer and we hope you too can experience and enjoy it as much as we do. It's all about making memories. It's also perfect for Fall/Winter fun and avoiding the summer crowds. Simply stay on our 5 acre property with complete hook ups if you're looking to avoid the bustle of downtown and it's hotel prices!
Our property is about 5 acres and tent spots are first come first serve with about 1 acre being closer to our house with shady grassy areas. The other 4 acres are in the pasture and mostly unshaded.
Pitch a tent out in the pasture, near the canal that runs through the property. We are a perfect location to the fairgrounds for the Farewell Festival/Rise Up Reggae Festival and all Bend festivals throughout the year. We are 4 miles to the festival sights in Redmond and 20 min to Bend. Ask about our shuttle rides to and from the festivities so just enjoy the ride, enjoy the show and come home for a relaxing evening under the stars.
If coming fortheRise Up Festival we offer the purchase of a weekend shuttle pass to and from the fairgrounds so you can enjoy your time and not spend it stuck trying to get out of the parking lot!!
If you are bringing an RV or trailer we have hookups for electric (first come basis).
We are close to Bachelor for skiing, Smith Rock for hiking, Sisters for shopping, too many lakes to name and 20mins to all Bend has to offer and so much more!

This campsite is situated on a 20-acre farm, so it feels remote and removed from the primary residents. With this spot, you are nestled under a juniper tree that provides ample shade with a lava rock backdrop, and can watch the sun dip below the Three Sisters volcanoes in the distance. This spot is very simple and tucked away, perfect for stargazing at night with limited light pollution. There is a picnic table, swing, and fire pit (please make sure the fire ban is off for this). There is no water, electricity, septic, or wifi. You do have cell service.
Please remember, you may encounter wildlife. This can include, but not limited to, deer, coyotes, snakes, spiders, etc. I have seen many bull snakes around that mimic rattlesnakes but are harmless. As long as you do not aggravate any animals, they should leave you alone. Also, please remember if you have pets, to keep them under control and be aware that cheat grass in the summer months can get stuck in their paws, ears, etc.
While feeling remote and removed from the Bend tourism, it only takes 15 minutes to get downtown Bend, where there are ample restaurants, shops, coffeehouses, the Deschutes River, etc. It takes 7 minutes to get to Trader Joe's and Home Depot, and 10 minutes to get to St. Charles Hospital. We are perfectly situated between Smith Rock State Park (25 minutes) and the High Desert Museum (17 minutes).
Heads up: as many places in central Oregon, Picknik Place gets pretty dusty, dry, and hot in the summer months. You may also encounter minimal road noise. Enjoy this private spot with all of the surrounding natural beauty!

Chet was warm and accommodating from the moment we arrived. Even though our stay was just a single night, he welcomed us like old friends and made us feel completely at home at his lovely Hipcamp. He was kind enough to share fresh eggs from his own chickens with us, which was such a sweet, unexpected touch. 🥰
The site itself is peaceful and well cared for, and the location can’t be beat, it’s only about 15 minutes from Smith Rock. Making it an ideal base if you’re heading out to climb or hike. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area.

I highly recommend both of Chester's hipcamp sites. They are very pretty and peaceful. All the amenities were as stated. It's a great location - just a short drive to Redmond, Terrebonne, and Smith Rock State Park. Chester was very communicative and a great host. Note-we went for a walk along the local roads one morning and found a roadside stand with baked goods which was a fun surprise. It's about half a mile past the camp sites - take the first road on the right that you come to.

We loved RV camping on Candice’s land! Directions were clear and the view was great. Only one RV/Tent site with full hook up. Host came out to meet us and was super friendly, as well as their dog. We stayed one night on a 10 night road trip. Would definitely recommend to others.

We really enjoyed this spot! It’s a great home-base for Bend / Redmond activities. The site was level and the Juniper tree at the site provided perfect shade from the afternoon sun. There is minimal road noise and didn’t bother us at all. I love sites that offer an early check-in add on and this one has that - we were able to be there at noon! The site is private, we were left to ourselves, and had plenty of area for our dogs to be off leash. We plan to book a return visit!

Our stay was so lovely at Deer Acres. We had only planned to stay 3 nights and ended up extending it for another 3 nights. We were in town for a wedding and this location was so convenient to get into town for wedding activities and then be able to come back to a quite, peaceful, beautiful setting. We appreciated the full hook ups and the sites are well taken care of by Chester and he is very accommodating. 100% recommend staying here!

Bobbie was an amazing host. She provided us free firewood and a dozen local eggs in the morning which tasted great. This place directly overlooks 11 peaks and is quiet and serene. The views of three sisters from the campsite was amazing. The outhouse was well kept and water hoses worked great. Bobbie is very welcoming as easy to talk to. Would visit again for sure!!
