Hello silence my old friend.
Quiet, blessed quiet. Love actually hearing birds singing, Onyx the cat purring, and smelling the blossoms around the picnic table. Worth every penny because I live where I hear sirens, interstate traffic and leaf blowers.

Heritage Grove
Heritage Grove was a perfect stop for us on our road trip through Oregon. Jess was a welcoming host, going above and beyond to help as she could. The farm is full of character and charm and we loved watching the sunset and sitting around the campfire.

Depends on what you want
Overall, it was a nice experience. I think it’s geared more for families who want the experience of being in close quarters with sheep. I didn’t realize the site was right in with the sheep. It became a bit annoying, as I had to keep an eye on them, and make sure any food was up in the treehouse.. When I went to explore the property, I didn’t realize this, and one of the sheep had grabbed my bananas.
The Pros
Beautiful area. Having the protection of the roof, for my tent was great as it rained, and the picnic table under the platform as well. The outhouse was lovely. I purchased two nights worth of wood, and had a great fire. I was greeted upon arrival and then left alone.
The Cons
The sheep. Ironically, I was constantly “counting sheep” to make sure none were too close to my stuff. The treehouse is near the road, so you heard each car that drove by. In the evening, there wasn’t any traffic, but during the day you heard it. You’re also within site of the house, which doesn’t provide you ultimate privacy.
The Verdict
Great place for the experience of communing with sheep, and keeping dry.

Heritage farm camping!
What a beautifully supportive environment and crew... and such a special heritage farm! Jess couldn't have been easier to work with. It was our first official campout with two tiny kids and so, one we'll all remember forever. The sheep are amazing, the tree house is awesome, the creek is so peaceful, and the property is fun to walk around and explore.

Hummingbirds and a babbling creek
We loved the little cabin on this farm. It was so peaceful and idyllic with the sound of the stream and the rustling of birds. The sheep and chickens were a fun treat. Jess was an exceptional host. We loved our stay here.

Great camping site on a beautiful piece of farmland. Very easy to find and very quiet, we slept for over 11 hours. Got stuck in the soft grass as it had rained a lot but the farmer gently pulled us out with his tractor. I will definitely stay here again

Quiet, Rustic Cabin w/ Farm Views
If you are looking for quiet and privacy in a rustic setting, look no further. This was just one big step up from camping, which is exactly what I was looking for. The cabin has a private composting toilet and electricity, but is otherwise very simple. I didn’t want anything that felt like a fussy bed and breakfast or like I was staying at someone’s house. The front porch has a view of a little brook and you can watch the chickens scratch around in their yard. The sheep were very friendly when I went to visit. The owners are not too far away, but I appreciated that they only reached out by text and otherwise let me just enjoy my solitude. This is a convenient spot to stay just 20 min away from Silver Falls State Park, or on your way east to Breitenbush Hot Springs (about 1.5 hours away). Nearby downtown Salem has plenty of restaurant and grocery shopping options. Overall I really enjoyed this stay and plan to visit again.

My partner and I loved our stay on Jess's beautiful land! It was cozy, quiet and safe, and she was very accommodating of our last minute booking. If you're coming in a camper van, be aware that the ground is quite uneven and sloped - we got a bit stuck in the mud on our way out the next morning, but would have been fine if we parked closer to the road. Highly recommend!

We had a quick, but wonderful stay. The wood fireplace kept us toasty warm, and the little cabin was well appointed. The composting toilet and outdoor bathroom was clean and tidy.

Cozy warm cabin on charming land
This is a great spot of land, with historic trees and buildings. The cabin was super cozy, the woodstove kept us warm and comfortable our entire stay. We had no issues finding the place and had a lovely stay, our dog loved exploring the area. I'll definitely be coming back in the summer to stay in the tree house!

The cabin was lovely, so cozy and exactly what we wanted. the wood stove heats up the place perfectly. the farm is adorable and very quiet. feels rural and isolated but just a quick drive into town. Hosts are super nice and helpful. We’d definitely love to visit again
The short path up to the cabins can be pretty dark if you’re coming and going after sunset, would recommend bringing a flashlight

Great property, helpful hosts!
It was a very rainy weekend so the hosts actually let us stay in the bunkhouse which was available. It was a nice Fall escape. The property is beautiful and close to Silver Falls state park and a few other waterfalls within an hour drive. I loved that there is a sink with warm water to wash your hands and face after days of adventure. Definitely recommended!

Charming spot for a perfect getaway
This cabin was so cozy and comfy! The futon folds out and makes a surprisingly comfortable bed. We loved the wood stove, it was a cold, rainy weekend and we enjoyed the toasty cabin and covered porch. Great instructions on getting there and around the farm, great and timely responses from Jim. This is super close to Silverton, Silver Falls State Park, and the Oregon Garden (definitely check it out!) and made a great home base for the weekend. We also made friends with the super friendly and cute black kitty. We’ll be back!

Beautiful land which a gorgeous sunset! There was another campsite close which made me weary at first as a solo female traveler, but they were quiet, played good music and paid me no mind. I did get stuck in the outhouse because in my sleepy haze I didn't realize you pull on the wire on the inside to unlock the latch 😅 Overall I would definitely camp here again!

Confusing instructions, but great!
Really lovely experience overall, but some personal nitpicks. Such a beautiful place though!
I was confused by the rules we'd been given -- they were totally reasonable, but for example: we were told clean water was available from a spigot by the backside of the white farmhouse. When we went to use it, one of the farm owners thought we were trying to open a gate right next to it and asked us not to open it (not a problem), but then explained the potable water was actually near their house. It's their home and their rules to keep their animals safe, but in the instructions we'd been sent over text, we'd been told we were allowed to go through pedestrian gates to interact with the animals as long as we closed them quickly so the animals didn't escape. I didn't want to overstep, so for the rest of the visit we just stayed by the fences and only enjoyed the animals from a distance unless they came up to us (which the sheep do! They're very friendly!), and just used our own water.
We were also told someone would be coming to host us for our visit -- this person never showed up? Not a problem though. Hope they're okay.
The one thing that kind of freaked me out was somebody -- presumably a farm worker -- parked their car in the grass lot next to our campsite around 8pm. They didn't say anything to us, but as we were settling down to sleep around 10:30, we heard footsteps near our tent for hours. When we woke up in the morning, they were gone. 😵💫
