Enjoy the beauty of Goble Creek. This site is 2 acres there is plenty of room to spread out and enjoy. Located in Rose Valley (Kelso) Washington off of South Goble Creek Road. It is in a rural neighborhood and a road runs above the property so there may be some minimal car noise. Please be aware that because we are in a rural residential area, MANY people have private shooting ranges. Gun fire may be heard periodically as people prepare for hunting season etc. NO ranges are on the property or directed toward the property in any capacity. -8 acre parcel -in rural residential area -private but there is some visibility from the road by passing cars. There is a home on one side but it is not visible from the site nor can they see the site. -the whole parcel is the site -the driveway is steep but manageable for most cars and trucks!

This property offers tranquility, with occasional visits from deer, coyote, owls, rabbits, eagles and doves. River access is just a short distance away, providing opportunities for fishing, sunbathing, or floating along the Cowlitz River. Just follow the pink flagging from our "Black Tail River Trail" sign at the south end of the grounds along the mowed path into the woods to the river. Approx 750' from the sign. *please note: Every year the beach changes due to the dam's releasing water in the winter/spring and weather related flooding. Sometimes our beach is large or small. Access to beach changes as well. Conveniently located near the towns of Kelso and Longview, and only 2.7 miles from Castle Rock. A day trip to Mt St Helens is very possible. Two full hookup sites are available, two water/power sites, along with ample dry camping areas. We have a porta potty as well. Horses are welcome on the property, as are leashed/penned and friendly pets. Dogs can be off leash at the river, but be courteous and aware of other dogs. Please clean up after your animals! Cell phone coverage is good here, we do not have wifi available. We offer firewood for sale (cash) and allow propane fire pits in our fire pits during burn bans. We follow the Cowlitz County ban, July 15-Sept 30. We also have a community fire pit for our dry campers (or large groups) called the Lave Pit, directly across from our dry camp area. Motorized off-road vehicles are allowed ONLY for transport of gear to/from the river or for those with mobile disabilities. We ask that you are respectful of the trails and drive slowly. Please note: we will no longer refund due to poor weather. Hipcamp offers insurance for this. No fireworks allowed. *During Independence day celebrations, our neighbors usually participate with fireworks though. Be aware it can be loud.

Please read the description in its entirety. Requesting a booking assumes all guests will read and follow camp rules. There is only one campsite on this property, insuring privacy and solitude during your stay. The setting is most private, the river lovely. This setting is wonderful for a quiet family getaway in the woods; it is not 'party' appropriate. The Coweeman River runs clean and pristine. Though only 3' to 4' deep, it provides a refreshing dip on a warm summer's day. It can be used for washing and bathing and could be filtered/treated to make it potable. A locked cabin has a large covered porch overlooking the River that is available for campers, complete with chairs and picnic table. Note: railing is fragile and drop potentially fatal, so no leaning on railing. Well mannered, non-digging dogs are welcome (maximum 2) as long as their responsible owners clean up after them. The camp has a pit toilet and we are asking guests to extend its life by only putting poop and pee in it. Please burn your TP or take it out with your trash. There is a fire ring and a tub of firewood available (and refillable) on site for $10. Payment for the woodcutter is through Venmo when you return to the electronic world. Firestarter/kindling complimentary if minimally used. If you bring your own wood keep maximum length to 20" to keep fire/ash within ring. There is a picnic table and chairs at the fire ring. Trash cans are provided. Please remove your trash. Don't forget to bring drinking water, toilet paper, headlamp/flashlight, roasting sticks for them s'mores, water shoes and tromping shoes. The closest store for supplies is 11 miles (20ish minutes) down Rose Valley Road, a small country market with basics, and fuel. There driveway is steep but fine for 2 wheel drive vehicles (except when towing). When driving out, make sure gate is open before starting the climb out.. The driveway is steepest at the gate so please do not stop there as tire spinning will result. The rules are listed below under During Your Trip by clicking on 'Host Rules'. By reserving this site the Booker, and all guests, agrees to abide by these rules. Cell coverage is nonexistent/weak, depending on carrier. Please plan accordingly and enjoy your time away from digital distractions. Enjoy!

Please read the description in its entirety. Requesting a booking assumes all campers will read and follow camp rules. A family favorite! This campsite is on the Coweeman River, 16 miles east of Interstate 5, on Rose Valley Rd, Kelso, WA. A pool deep/large enough for swimming makes it a wonderful summer retreat. Caution: wet rocks are as slick as ice! There is only one site on this property so your party will have it to yourselves. A fire pit, with on site firewood available for purchase ($10/tub/30ish pieces), provides warmth after your dip in the cool water. Fire stater and kindling are complimentary if minimally used. A picnic table is under a newly constructed shelter. The driveway terminates in a cul de sac; an area large enough for any vehicle to turn around. A small trailer (less than 20') is fine if you're talented getting it turned around or can unhitch and turned around by hand. Towing a trailer you'd need a 4 wheel drive to get it out of the steepish driveway. There is a large flat area for parking/tents plus a couple remote, dirt sites for tents. There is no potable water onsite though the Coweeman River runs clear/clean and could be boiled/treated. Non digging, well mannered dogs are allowed (2 maximum) provided their responsible owners clean up after them. A new nifty outhouse has a great view! Only pee and poop go into the pit. Rose Valley Road follows the Coweeman River, has little traffic, and may serve as a nice hike/bike up or down stream. The rules are listed below under During Your Trip by clicking on 'Host Rules'. By reserving this site the Booker, and all guests, agrees to abide by these rules. Cell coverage is nonexistent/weak, depending on carrier. We have a 1/2 acre property on the Cowlitz River in the middle of Cooks Ferry Park in Castle Rock WA. We bought the property to relax in a beautiful setting close to home. We only live 15 minutes away. The property is made up of dredge spoils from when Mt. Saint Helens blew and is inside of a park where people can go to fish and enjoy the river. There are only 8 lots privately owned and we are the first lot that you come to. There is plenty of room for an RV. Guests can also tent camp or stay in our shack that has a sleeper sofa. There are snacks, a sign in book, an axe, briquets, a fire extinguisher, and other items the shack. There is a picnic table, fire pit, BBQ, and wood stove. There is a porta potty on the property. We value your privacy. We do have cameras on the property that are on when no one is there. Once a Hipcamper arrives at the property, they are turned off. We also keep our travel trailer there to enjoy when we can. We will never be there camping when you are there. In the summer, we sometimes kayak. We put in upriver and get out at the property. If it is booked at that time, we will always check first to see if it is okay for us to get out there. If you continue going past our property, there are some nice rock beaches with pretty views. People fish there and wade in the water in the summer. Castle Rock is a cute little town with some nice shops, restaurants and bars. I recommend checking it out! We are not picky about check in/check out time. It would only matter if someone else was checking in the day you are checking out. Please ask if you expect to arrive earlier or want to check out later. If your plans change, please cancel through Hipcamp to get a refund.

Escape the city chaos and come relax among the trees. We have a 30 acre parcel in unincorporated Columbia County, OR with our home, barn, and animals. The lodging is set away from our home in a private part of the property. We are surrounded by woods and views of the cascade mountains. We have solar panels on the cabin for power, there is potable water in a storage tank that feeds the sink at the deck and the outdoor shower behind the cabin. The toilet is a composting toilet and is set about 100 feet away from the cabin. The CZ trail is close by, there is a trailhead about 1 mile from our driveway. The CZ trail is a bike, pedestrian and horse trail that runs from Scappoose to Banks. There are restaurants and grocery stores in Scappoose and nearby St Helens. There are also many local farm stands, including ours.

Tucked Away Retreat

Tucked Away Retreat evolved from empty acreage to an easy retreat from the city and an opportunity to share our love of the rural life. Located in the Chapman area of Scappoose, this area is rich in logging history; the Crown Zellerbach trail is an old logging road and now an 18 mile hiking/biking "story board" of the life and culture of both the Native American Indians that lived in the area and the evolution of logging. Just over the peak of the CZ trail (which is approximately 3 miles from our property) is an old mine, just one example of many hidden areas to explore. Our retreat is just 45 minutes from Portland, yet feels a world away. You can relax in the quiet or explore the trail, the small towns that dot Highway 30 or head to the river. If you continue West on Highway 30, you will pass through many small logging towns, the old Trojan Nuclear site and eventually land in Astoria on the coast. Learn more about this land: Tucked Away Retreat is quiet and peaceful yet 45 minutes from Portland. Located on 4 private acres, watch the deer wander through the property or the hawks float overhead. Bring your bikes and hit the Crown Zellerbach trail, or hike it instead. We are located approximately 0.8 mile from the trail. Visit Sauvie's Island, the largest inland island in the United States. Paddle or kayak on Scappoose Bay, head up to the Trojan frisbee-golf course, or just relax on the lawn. We are also an easy drive from Vernonia, the Nehalem River and Big Eddy Park. The B side is on gravel on the upper drive and is shaded most of the day. This site is best suited for camper vans, truck campers or small trailers due to trees along the back curve of the driveway. Large trailers/RV's and motorhomes will fit but you may need to back in. The B side is backed by our private, small shop. It is adjacent to our tiny house, with a privacy fence separating the two areas. The site has water, power and septic hook ups. There is also WiFi, although it can be spotty inside your trailer. The property can accommodate one or two additional RV's in spots adjacent to both sites for multiple vehicle groups; contact us for more information if you are a larger group. Additional vehicles are an extra charge. Please be aware that we are RV only, we have no outhouse, so we cannot accommodate tents or folks who want to sleep in their vehicle. We will consider an exception if you have a RV/trailer and kids who want to sleep in a tent. Please reach out to us prior to booking for this exception. We do not allow "shower" tents. Also please note that there is no cell service once you leave Highway 30; you have to have WiFi calling capabilities to use your cell phone. These sites are on our private property. Please reach out with any questions.
